Here’s his apology:

I want to publicly apologize to Samantha Geimer for my cavalier remarks on “The Howard Stern Show” speculating about her and the crime that was committed against her. Fifteen years later, I realize how wrong I was. Ms. Geimer WAS raped by Roman Polanski. When Howard brought up Polanski, I incorrectly played devil’s advocate in the debate for the sake of being provocative. I didn’t take Ms. Geimer’s feelings into consideration and for that I am truly sorry.

So, Ms. Geimer, I was ignorant, and insensitive, and above all, incorrect.

McDonald's French Fries May Cure Baldness?

• Researchers at Yokohama National University found that when they used the chemical dimethylpolysiloxane (found in silicone) they could mass produce hair follicles that could grow hair when transplanted into mice. Scientists believe that they could eventually use this to treat hair loss in humans.

• McDonald’s also uses dimethylpolysiloxane in their cooking oil to stop it from frothing when cooking their famous french fries. Yum.

• Now while the chemical was helpful for the experiment, on its own it won't trigger hair growth.

• Conclusion: Eating more McDonald's fries will not grow your hair you out. Sorry fat baldies.

With a trailer that served us an almost all female cast facing an unknown force in the Jungle to save Oscar Isaac's character, many were left wondering if the Natalie Portman starring Annihilation would be any good? Some early rumors suggested the test screenings didn't go so well. Is it good?

Joaquin Phoenix in talks to play the Joker in Todd Phillips' standalone movie

- Director Todd Phillips has expressed his desire to have Joaquin as his lead.
- Sources tell Variety that Phoenix has agreed to the role but WB had no comment and studio negotiations are not yet underway.
- The film will delve into the Joker's origin and will take place in the 80s and will be more of a "gritty crime drama than comic-book movie."

- Unicode has finalized the 2018 emoji set, with 157 new emoji (77 unique ones) that should be available around August or September after vendors design their own versions. The new emoji include redheads, superheroes, feet, receipts, yarn, a strutting hippo, a moon cake, an agar plate, a badger, a raccoon that looks like a badger, a peacock, and toilet paper.







- Peele says he decided to quit acting after he was offered the role of Poop, said "That's fucked up...I'm going to sleep on it," and was told the next morning they had already cast Sir Patrick Stewart. He said "this is true. I would not make this up," but I'm still not sure tbh.

Nate Parker Mounts Comeback With 'Baselines' Web Series

Nate Parker is testing the waters for a comeback. He is putting together a short form digital series titled Baselines.
His new project will be closely watched by industry insiders to see if he's able to mount a return to Hollywood in the current climate.
They are searching for a diverse cast made up primarily of black/African American actors.
The storyline will follow "a tight knit family as they struggle to protect its aspiring pro basketball player from the dangers of inner city Los Angeles." 

The goal is to push for a series pick up.

HBO announces Pod Save America specials

HBO has announced that ONTD-podcasts favs Pod Save America is joining the network for four one-hour specials during the fall midterm election season. No real details were released but it sounds like it will be a on-the-road show.

This is the second podcast-turned-TV Special by the network after turning 2 Dope Queens into a four-part comedy event. The second episode airs tomorrow.

In the caption, Spears says: "A few weeks ago, my son sat down and started playing our piano… he’s never had a lesson a day in his life, so needless to say I started tearing up like a proud mom!
