  • The Sleeping Dogs live-action film, based off of the popular 2012 video-game, is still happening, according to Rogue One standout Donnie Yen.

  • Yen teased a new image for the film on instagram and captioned it "Sometimes great things take a bit of time. Sleeping Dog is motion, you guys ready for this?"

  • There are also a few additional images with Yen mimicking the shots from the game. Yen is presumed to be playing Wei Shen, an undercover Hong Kong police officer who was the protagonist of the video game. No other names have been announced for the project, although the game adaptation included the voice talents of Will Yun-Lee, Emma Stone (who was researching for her Aloha film role), Lucy Liu, Kelly Hu, Yunjin Kim, Ian Anthony Dale, James Hong, Elizabeth Sung, and Tzi Ma, among others. Donnie Yen joined the project in March 2017.

...for a new ad that was featured during the SuperBowl.

• It all starts when Martha is introducing her new "beautiful Banh Mi-inspired fried chicken sandwich" and shades Jack by saying "You'd never find this at a fast food restaurant" and goes in for the kill with "It's a good thing." Jack then confronts Martha during her segment and I guess you could say things take quite the "nose dive."

Cardi B Opens up to Zendaya in the New Issue of CR Fashion Book

Cardi B on identifying as black :
"One thing that always bothers me is that people know so little about my culture. We are Caribbean people. And a lot of people be attacking me because they feel like I don’t be saying that I’m black. Some people want to decide if you’re black or not, depending on your skin complexion, because they don’t understand Caribbean people or our culture. I feel like people need to understand or get a passport and travel. I don’t got to tell you that I’m black. I expect you to know it. When my father taught me about Caribbean countries, he told me that these Europeans took over our lands. That’s why we all speak different languages. I expect people to understand that just because we’re not African American, we are still black. It’s still in our culture. Just like everybody else, we came over here the same fucking way. I hate when people try to take my roots from me. Because we know that there’s African roots inside of us. I really just want people to understand that the color that I have and features that I have are not from two white people fucking."

Kevin Hart, in a delusion of grandeur last night, thought the Eagles would care or want him on the podium to share in their Super Bowl celebration. A security guard, who is clearly a Will Smith fan, had other ideas:

Hart then stumbled drunkenly over to the NFL Network, where he slurred and dropped an F-Bomb during a live interview:

Justin Timberlake Super Bowl reviews (spoiler: it was bad)

The Atlantic goes in: says this version of "Filthy" was garbled, from the "extremely garbled new album", went through the songs like a "player with easy-mode in a video game", botched "My Love" and "Cry Me a River" by turning them into "choppy rock rehearsals" and finishes by calling the blurry Prince projection a part of "career-long theft of black swagger" he's been doing.

Deadline: says it even lacked "the spontaneity or sheer will power that a flu suffering Pink", calls it the "Super Bowl equivalent of a black screen".

The New Yorker: says that the fact that he cut off "Rock Your Body" right before the "I'll have you naked" is "spineless deflection", calls out his banter as "the bleakest ever". Calls "Can't Stop the Feeling" "psychotically chipper" and the whole performance "eerily un-self-aware".

The Washington Post: simply says that Justin Timberlake "lost the Super Bowl". In the end they basically state that the one good thing about this whole performance is that now we can leave Justin Timberlake behind, and indeed stop the feeling.

Ops Vocal Notes behind the cut

  • Modelled after whitney's of course!
  • shouldn't have done that.
  • the key should have been brought down a whole tone
  • As she attempts to hit the octave listeners (pink included) are overwhelmed with a will she won't she moment.
  • the note accompanying the line (red glare) is flat .
  • bad placement from then on .
  • to her credit , her C5's (in aiiiir) sounded good
  • Her voice finally gives out at 2:29
  • op doesn't hate pink or her live vocals (see snippet of Joyful joyful on youtube)
  • op thinks pink shouldn't attempt traditional songs as her voice isn't disciplined for such.

C+ overall. not horrible, not memorable.
