Scott Baio's Awkward GMA Interview About Nicole Eggert's Molestation Allegation

Scott Baio appeared on Good Morning America this morning to defend himself against Nicole Eggert's accusation that he molested her for years, starting when she was only 14, when they starred together on Charles in Charge. The interview was described as a "train-wreck" by the New York Daily News, as Baio stammered his way through several awkward answers to questions by Amy Robach.

Robach asked if his relationship with Eggert, who was 14 to his 26 when the show began filming, was "flirtatious" on the set, and he responded "Amy, I can tell you and I mean this sincerely, one of the most fun things I've ever done. Talented girl. We had a great time on the set. Everybody liked each other. Everybody got along."

He insisted that nothing could have happened on the set because there were always other people around and the set was "like a picnic every day" and repeated his argument that Eggert told Nik Richie during a 2013 radio interview that she lost her virginity to Baio after Charles in Charge was done, when she would have been 18. Robach read a statement from Nik Richie, in which he said that after that interview "She was an emotional wreck. She told me it was much worse than she described on air. She said, 'He molested me as a child and I didn't know any better.' I can vividly remember that statement. It's not one you would forget."

Robach also read statements from Alexander Polinsky, who played Eggert's younger brother on Charles in Charge and said he witnessed "inappropriate cuddling" between Baio and Eggert on the set and Adam Karl, who guested on one episode and said he recalled Eggert crying over her treatment by Baio
.

When Robach asked Baio about Eggert's tweet in which she wrote "Ask Scott Baio what happened in his garage in his house when I was a minor. Creep.", Baio was at a loss for words, stammered, nervously laughed and threw his hands up in the air. "I have no idea what that means. I have no idea."Robach asked if he ever saw Eggert "off the set" and he seemed flustered, saying "Uh, off the set? I saw her in the, in the studio lot. Yeah, off the set."

Finally, Baio brought up the effect of the allegations on his career and family: “It's very important how this is affecting me, why somebody would come after me, my reputation and stop me from doing something that I love, what I've been doing since I'm nine years old. More important than that is my wife. I have a 10-year-old daughter. And my 10-year-old daughter does not need to be hearing about this from friends at school, these false allegations...Her job is to be 10 years old and that's why this has got to stop."

Following the Golden Globes' lead, word is that women nominees and guests set to attend this year's BAFTA's - in London on February 18 - will be sticking to the all-black rule to show solidarity for the metoo movement against harassment and abuse in the industry. Apparently designers and stylists are now scrambling to find black outfits for the event.

Said BAFTA CEO Amanda Berry: “People are asking me, ‘Is everybody going to wear black?’ I don’t know the answer, but I assume that will now happen throughout the whole awards season. Look at how quickly it happened [at the Globes]. That was only a rumor a couple of weeks before, or a suggestion.”

On whether it will be upfront that Dumbledore is gay:

“Not explicitly,” Yates replied when asked if the film makes it clear that Dumbledore is gay. “But I think all the fans are aware of that. He had a very intense relationship with Grindelwald when they were young men. They fell in love with each other’s ideas, and ideology and each other.”

On how Dumbledore will be like:

“He’s a maverick and a rebel and he’s an inspiring teacher at Hogwarts. He’s witty and has a bit of edge. He’s not this elder statesman. He’s a really kinetic guy. And opposite Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, they make an incredible pairing.”

Yestrday, Walk responded to Coopersmith's claims saying he was surprised, calling them "untrue" and "upsetting."
"It is very upsetting to learn of this untrue allegation made by someone who worked with me 15 years ago, without incident," said Walk. "There has never been a single HR claim against me at any time during my 25+ year career, spanning three major companies. I have consistently been a supporter of the women's movement and this is the first time I have ever heard of this or any other allegation — and it is false."

  • Kevin "we show diversity in a cutting-edge way going back to the 60's and we represented that effortlessly in 2014" Feige has addressed the X-Men and Fantastic Four's futures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

  • "The truth of the matter as I understand it is the deal has to be figured out. There’s been no communication. We’re not thinking about it. We’re focusing on everything we’ve already announced. If and when the deal actually happens, we’ll start to think more about it. Until then, we have a lot to do. … It would be years away.”

How 45 Ruined Rachel Lindsay's Fantasy Suite Date

- In a charming interview with Juliet Litman of The Ringer, Rachel explains that she was on Nick Viall's season of the Bachelor while the election was happening.
- She was in Finland when she found out the election results and that same day, she had her fantasy suite date with Nick Viall.
- To cope with Hillary losing, she (like many of us) took advantage of the free alcohol The Bachelor provides.
- Instead of ~getting intimate~ with Nick or chatting all night, she drank herself into oblivion and passed out on the bed.
- Didn't talk about it with Nick because at this point, she didn't know his politics.

I just wanted an excuse to post this because it's a great interview/recap with Rachel!

People Magazine posts puff piece about dead pedophile Mark Salling

People Magazine is really trying it.

Before he began acting on Glee, pedophile Mark Salling was an avid birdwatcher and a member of Echo Park Ornithology Club in LA. The club's president told the magazine that he really cared about the birds and animals in general.

The president also claims that Mark was a devout Christian, a genuinely nice person, and liked playing frisbee golf, whatever that is.

A family source also stated that Mark led a secluded life after his arrest.

Mark was arrested in 2015 for possessing more than 25,000 images and 600 videos of child porn on several computers and thumb drives. The children being abused were as young as 3 years old. He pleaded guilty and was set to be sentenced in March before offing himself yesterday.
