TW: RAPE/SEXUAL ASSAULT, ALL LINKS NSFW
Earlier this week, gay porn star Tegan Zayne took to Twitter with allegations that he was raped by colleague Topher DiMaggio in the summer of 2016. In a now deleted tweet, Zayne recalled waking to find DiMaggio penetrating him (the pair shared living quarters during filming). DiMaggio allegedly proceeded to ejaculate inside of Zayne, despite repeated vocalizations by the latter that he didn't want to have intercourse. Zayne alleged that he was then subjected to verbal abuse throughout filming by DiMaggio, and that he struggled in the aftermath with defining the events that occurred.
Today, DiMaggio has broken his silence with a statement in which he "vehemently denies" Zayne's allegations, claiming that "all of [his] relations with [Zayne] have been consensual," and implying that Zayne is a scorned lover.
"I vehemently deny all these allegations. These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core. All of my relations with this person have been consensual and willing.
"The current accusations against me range from the patently untrue to hurtful. Also, stating he WILLINGLY had sex with me. Furthermore, he never said "no." I'm hurt by these false accusations and malicious, slanderous statements that are simply not true. The presumption of "innocent until proven guilty" must not be replaced by "Guilty by Association.(op note: huh)
"Not wanting to further a relationship or not being friendly enough after having consensual sex doesn't give the other person who had different expectations of a romance the right to accuse someone of something so awful.
"Rape is a very serious thing and not a word to be thrown around. To all my friends and followers please use this opportunity to open a healthy dialogue and not as an opportunity to attack or belittle anyone.
"Thank you for all your love and support,
"Topher DiMaggio"
Now, Zayne has once again taken to his own Twitter account to share messages of solidarity he received in the aftermath of his initial post. The screenshotted DMs and text messages allege similar experiences with DiMaggio, who, in addition to acting in porn, models for underwear brand Andrew Christian as one of their "Trophy Boys."
