Gay porn star Topher DiMaggio "vehemently denies" rape allegations as more victims break silence

TW: RAPE/SEXUAL ASSAULT, ALL LINKS NSFW

Earlier this week, gay porn star Tegan Zayne took to Twitter with allegations that he was raped by colleague Topher DiMaggio in the summer of 2016. In a now deleted tweet, Zayne recalled waking to find DiMaggio penetrating him (the pair shared living quarters during filming). DiMaggio allegedly proceeded to ejaculate inside of Zayne, despite repeated vocalizations by the latter that he didn't want to have intercourse. Zayne alleged that he was then subjected to verbal abuse throughout filming by DiMaggio, and that he struggled in the aftermath with defining the events that occurred.

Today, DiMaggio has broken his silence with a statement in which he "vehemently denies" Zayne's allegations, claiming that "all of [his] relations with [Zayne] have been consensual," and implying that Zayne is a scorned lover.

"I vehemently deny all these allegations. These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core. All of my relations with this person have been consensual and willing.

"The current accusations against me range from the patently untrue to hurtful. Also, stating he WILLINGLY had sex with me. Furthermore, he never said "no." I'm hurt by these false accusations and malicious, slanderous statements that are simply not true. The presumption of "innocent until proven guilty" must not be replaced by "Guilty by Association.
(op note: huh)

"Not wanting to further a relationship or not being friendly enough after having consensual sex doesn't give the other person who had different expectations of a romance the right to accuse someone of something so awful.

"Rape is a very serious thing and not a word to be thrown around. To all my friends and followers please use this opportunity to open a healthy dialogue and not as an opportunity to attack or belittle anyone.

"Thank you for all your love and support,

"Topher DiMaggio"

Now, Zayne has once again taken to his own Twitter account to share messages of solidarity he received in the aftermath of his initial post. The screenshotted DMs and text messages allege similar experiences with DiMaggio, who, in addition to acting in porn, models for underwear brand Andrew Christian as one of their "Trophy Boys."

Taryn Manning is Pissed That Her Stylist Put Her in a $200 Dress at the SAG Awards

Orange is the New Black's Taryn Manning received a lot of praise from the fashion press for her SAG Awards gown, a $200 off-the-rack Adrianna Papell dress, but apparently she's not happy about it.

A TMZ paparazzi tried to congratulate her on it at the airport, saying it was "dope" and she tells him to "shut up, you're annoying" and tries to storm off. He asks her why, and she says "My $200 dress, is that what you said?" He responds, "Yeah, it's cool" and she replies:

"No, it's not. It's wack that my stylist didn't tell me that. Now everyone else can afford it, that's what's cool about it, but it still sucks for me... I want to be in like a superstar gown."

"So the designer got a lot of press. You should pay me a lot of money."

Music Industry Is A Sausage Fest - Explains All The Shit Music On The Charts

A new study has looked at the gender divide in the music industry and it's exactly what you'd expect given all the males making the charts an auditory health hazard:

In an analysis of the top 600 songs from 2012 to 2017 — defined by Billboard’s year-end Hot 100 chart for each of those six years — the study found that of 1,239 performing artists, 22.4 percent of them were women.

Of the 2,767 songwriters credited on those songs, 12.3 percent were women. Female producers — the people most responsible for the sound of pop music — are even rarer, at just 2 percent in a subset of 300 songs across this same period, the study found.

Of the 899 individuals who have been nominated for the last six Grammy ceremonies, 90.7 percent were men and 9.3 percent were women.

Liza Weil on the Insane Twists Ahead in HTGAWM

0
0

Liza Weil (Bonnie) spoke with MarieClarie.com recently about many things mostly about 'How To Get Away With Murder' but #Metoo and Melania Trump. Here's what she has to say:

On how Season 4 will end:
"We are so in the dark. We, as a cast, are learning where the season is going to go episode-by-episode. We don't really have too much of an idea of how Season 4 is going to end still, and we're about to start shooting Episode 14. We're two away from the end, and honestly I'm not sure how we're going to wrap this up."

On whether we'll learn more about Bonnie's baby:
"I hope so, I think that's a really informative piece of information that we all learned this season—just how dark Bonnie's past is, and what she's overcome as a person. What we learned story-wise in Season 4 goes so much further than Season 3, and it really changed how I play Bonnie—so I do hope that's something that could come up again in the future. I'm not sure if we'll touch on it in this season, but if we go again, I hope we will."

On filming HTGAWM with #MeToo top of mind:
"We have a very close-knit set, and in terms of our work environment that's not something we've ever had to deal with on the job. Behind the scenes, everybody is exceedingly respectful. That's the way it should be in every work environment and we've been lucky that's the case where we work. I'm an actor and I don't necessarily feel that comfortable being a voice for things—I support everything that's happening, and I feel like it's a necessary movement forward, but for me it's been interesting to be able to express myself through a character I'm currently playing, and kind of put it out in the world that way."

On how she wants Bonnie's story to end:
"Bare-bones, my hope is that she's not hanging in the attic. I hope she's alive. Because of the nature of our show, at this point, that's really all I can hope for. I hope it doesn't get so dark that it's over in a complete bloodbath."

On HTGAWM being Melania Trump's favorite show:
"I will reveal that there is a group text thread that the cast has, and that was a dark day for all of us."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
she also talks about Bonnie's love for Annalise and will Bonnie ever find love, her relationship with costar Charlie Weber, the crossover between with Scandal and the revival of Gilmore Girls (@ the source)

speaking of the crossover, the way both shows will handle Liza Weil dual roles (since she played the now dead Amanda Tanner on Scandal) is: Bonnie "will not appear in the Scandal episode of the crossover and will not cross paths with any Scandal characters during the HTGAWM episode"

Could Drake and Bad Bunny have a collaboration coming? The two rappers recorded themselves during a hookah session in the studio while listening to unreleased music.

If so, this wouldn’t be the first time the Canadian Cornball dabbles in Latin music. Romeo Santos collaborated with Brugal Papi on a bachata song for his second album.

How the Grammys Made and Unmade Taylor Swift

0
0

  • Taylor Swift's 2016 acceptance speech at the Grammys "set in motion a fall from grace from which she has yet to fully recover."

  • "Swift’s delivery of that speech played into some her worst instincts and her cynics’ harshest claims about her. If you were someone who thought Taylor Swift’s professed feminism was just a wedge for her to boost her own career, or more alarmingly, sideline artists of color, that was there in the speech. If you saw in Swift someone who still insisted on using a spent feud with Kanye West to play the underdog, an uncharitable interpreter could find evidence of that as well."

  • Compares Taylor to Kanye West, saying they both have self-destructive impulses. The writer argues that if Taylor hadn't taken the jab at Kanye during her speech, then she  wouldn't have faced so much backlash in 2016 and may have had an entirely different album than "Reputation." He writes that the Grammys "provided the platform for her to start tearing herself down."

  • “Look What You Made Me Do” simply wasn’t as good as what listeners and the industry alike have come to expect from a Taylor Swift lead single.  "Alienated Grammy voters were just more casualties of her decision to release a song so confrontational yet underwritten."

  • The Grammys are also being forced to acknowledge hip-hop’s cultural pervasiveness. "As much as she tried to co-opt everything from Travis Scott’s Xanned-out phrasing to FKA Twigs’s breathiness on Reputation, there was no way for Swift to create a product as compelling as those artists when she was on their turf."

  • "Hiring Max Martin and Jack Antonoff to replicate what teenagers were coming up with on Soundcloud was never going to cut it."

  • "At the rate she’s going, Taylor Swift might well end up being her generation’s Eminem, a once inescapable artist who still sells buckets of records to his core fanbase and headlines festivals well after his pop moment mostly faded."

ONTD, do you think Taylor's 2016 acceptance speech was a mistake for her career?

David Walliams Tries to Distance Himself from British "Men Only" Elite Event

David-Walliams.jpg.750x400_q85_box-0,40,615,369_crop_detail

Each year, “The President’s Club Charitable Trust” organizes a fundraising dinner at London’s exclusive Dorchester Hotel. This year, a female journalist - Madison Marriage - went undercover and reported that many of the 130 hostesses were harassed extremely by the attending men. Host David Walliams claims that he had no idea what was going on and left directly after hosting.

However: Walliams hosted the fundraiser the third time in a row. Items at the charity auction included a night at Soho’s Windmill strip club and a course of plastic surgery, accompanied by the slogan: “Spice up your wife.” Burlesque dancers entertained as part of the program.

  • It's an extremely exclusive "men only" event.

  • The attendees are the elite from Britain’s business, finance, fashion, entertainment and political establishments.

  • Journalist Madison Marriage went undercover as a hostess. She reported the job requirements included being “tall, thin and pretty" and they were given sexy black dresses and high heels to wear. A team of hair and make-up artists prepped them for the evening ahead.

  • Abuse was extremely widespread that evening. Hostesses were pulled into the laps of the attending men, were verbally harassed, groped and fondled, some were kissed against their will. One man exposed himself to a hostess. Other hostesses were asked if they were prostitutes or pressured to dance on the tables.

  • One hostess said that she had attended many "flirty" high-class events but the atmosphere here was different and had frightened her.

  • Hostesses who seemed unenthusiastic were prodded by “an enforcement team” to interact with the guests.

  • Hostesses were reprimanded if they spent too much time in the bathroom. A security guard was posted outside the toilets and timed their bathroom breaks.

  • Most of the hostesses were students and models between the ages of 19-23.

  • They were encouraged to drink on the job.

  • Madison Marriage says: “I genuinely felt incredibly sad and upset by what I had seen, the fact that the upper echelons of our society are operating this way in 2018.” Marriage said she managed to stay in “professional mode” for the rest of the workweek, but broke down when she saw her parents on the weekend.

  • The chairman of the event is David Meller, the director of Britain’s Department for Education. He has since stepped down.

  • Children and families minister Nadhim Zahawi attended the fundraiser but claims to have left early.

How the Spice Girls Defied Their Critics Celebrating Spice World's Empowering Message 20 Years Later

0
0

-Originally Disney offered the girls a film but the band didn't like the script which Spice World script writer Kim Fuller said, "It was a bit Disney-fied, " Kim remembers. "I think it was about a young single mother of one of the girls, fighting hardship to form the band."

-Theatrically trained actor Richard Grant said the films unconventional approach to filming scene's worked. Grant said they were given an outline and everyone in the scene had to improvise.

-The film's distributor/producers gave the girls free reign and control. The girls shot and took out material they didn't see fit. All five were basically co prodcuers/directors of the film. Critics universally panned the film but it was one of the most successful films starring an all lead female cast. Nobody gave them the credit they deserved because they were the Spice Girls.

-Spice world became a box office smash making $101 million worldwide and was shot with a budget of $26 million.

Gimmick or not, the Spice Girls message of girl power uplifted young women and boys alike. Even though they were manufactured the girls controlled their destiny and broke free of their former management, went to every record label to only be numerously rejected and sought out producers who refuse to work with them because they thought female bands wouldn't sell. The girls persisted and became one of the biggest girl groups in history.

GROUNDBREAKING: Call Me by Your Name sequel to tackle HIV and AIDS

0
0

- Lucas Guadagnino will tackle HIV/AIDS head-on in the sequel, the first time an LGBT movie features the disease ever.

- Hopes CMBYN is the first in a decades-long Before Sunrise-like series. "I want Tim o T and Armie to win an Oscar no matter what." The director didn't say, but most likely thought. Also money.

- "In my opinion, Call Me can be the first chapter of the chronicles of the life of these people that we met in this movie, and if the first one is a story of coming of age and becoming a young man, maybe the next chapter will be, what is the position of the young man in the world, what does he want — and what is left a few years later of such an emotional punch that made him who he is?"
