Xtina has been making more frequent public appearances in the last few months, possibly indicating a new album cycle coming soon. She sports a pinstriped power suit, a red beret, and giant fan shaped earrings last night in West Hollywood.







I'm feelin the makeup and styling from Tackytina but of all times she finally ditches the red lips and tired ass curls she has to mess with her lips [eyes, cheeks, face, give it style #grace]! I can't

'black panther' projected to top $100 million in its opening weekend

+ According to analysts the Black Panther opening weekend could pull in between $100-$120 million in the US.
+ These are early estimates so the number could be higher.
+ For comparison, Spider-Man: Homecoming earned $117 million and Thor: Ragnarok raked in $122 million on their opening weekends in 2017.
+ Black Panther opens on February 16, 2018.

Grey's Anatomy Spin-Off Gets Title, Premiere Date

The spin-off, centering on Seattle firefighters, will be titled Station 19. The 10-episode first season will premiere with a double episode on Thursday, March 22. Also have a sip of some tea: Shonda Rhimes allegedly only okayed this spin-off to get out of her ABC contract early so she could move to Netflix.

  • English actress Joanne Whalley has joined Daredevil season 3. She will be playing Sister Maggie Murdock, Matt's mother.

  • The name Maggie was alluded to in The Defenders finale.

  • Season 3 will be drawing from the 1980's "Born Again" story arc of Daredevil. In the comics, she nurses Matt back to health in a church.

Gal Gadot is opening up about Wonder Woman being snubbed in the Oscar

Wonder Woman was generating Oscar buzz after it's initial release. Sparking debate of earning nominations for Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins. Alas, nominations were announced this past week with Wonder Woman not being mentioned once. Wonder Woman herself was asked about the snub and here's what she had to say:
“I was very moved and touched by the people who were disappointed that Wonder Woman wasn’t nominated, but we certainly never did the movie for that,” Wonder Woman said at Revlon’s Live Boldly Campaign event in New York City on Wednesday. “I think that you can’t have it all. We’ve done this movie and it was received in such an amazing, wonderful way, and we want to stay humble and grateful, and we’re going to have another movie, so who knows? Maybe the next one!”

The Wonder Woman sequel is in the works with both Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins on board.

Isabelle Huppert addresses the #metoo backlash in France

  • French screen icon Isabelle Huppert has broken her silence on the sexual assault in Hollywood and the various scandals. Asked about her contemporaries Brigitte Bardot and Catherine Devenue's controversial statements slamming the movement, Huppert has taken more of a neutral stance on the issue.

  • “Just because we have different opinions in France, it doesn’t mean that we aren’t in solidarity with the movement. But it’s important that all voices be heard, that there’s not too much overzealousness on either side.”

  • In regards to the shifting ties in the film industry, Huppert says “Of course it’s great, especially because it gives a voice to women who didn’t have the possibility to speak up before. What’s important is that the movement doesn’t rest within the confines of the entertainment industry, but that it spreads to other ones as well. It can have a ripple effect that touches women of all classes and professions.”

• On top of announcing a select tour in certain North American/European cities, Spears and Elizabeth Arden have released her 24th fragrance "Sunset Fantasy."

• On her official Facebook page, Spears states “Get ready to experience #SummerInaBottle with my new fragrance Sunset Fantasy!"

• Spears has sold 175 million bottles of fragrances which has amassed $4.8 billion in revenue as of 2017. The latest fragrance is said to having a citrus blend, a heart of peach and raspberry and sandalwood, amber and vanilla at the base.

Black Lightning's Nafessa Williams on Playing the First Live-Action Black Lesbian Superhero

– Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce is television's first black lesbian superhero.
– The eldest daughter of Lynn and Jefferson Pierce (aka BL), Anissa is fiercely protective and loving of her younger sister Jennifer (China Anne Mclaire, aka Lightning). She works part-time at the school her father is principal of while also working on being a medical student.
– Anissa first appeared in DC comics in 2003, first mentioned in Green Arrow and showing up a month later in The Outsiders. She's known as Thunder, and has the ability to increase the physical density of her body, rendering her bullet-proof and super strong.
– Anissa is currently in a relationship with Chenoa (Shein Mompremier). Chantal Tuy has already been cast as her girlfriend from the comics, Grace Choi, described as an Asian-American bartender who will become friends with Anissa. In the comics (first appearing in 2003 also), Grace is the daughter of a Bana Amazon and worked as a bouncer at a nightclub for meta-humans before being recuited into The Outsiders by Arsenal, Nightwing, and Batman.
– Social media is happy about the rep, but there are naysayers, even though yes, individual negative voices are amplified to fill the body of Buzzfeed et. al articles. Imagine getting excited about the show and then being unhappy when Anissa's girlfriend shows up. Aw,-poor-dat-#neaux1currrrr.jpg
– It has not been revealed yet exactly how exactly Anissa and Grace will engage in their comic-romance (or how it will affect Chenoa), but expect it to come in the form of Anissa trusting Grace with the truth about her powers.

TV: There's been a lot of buzz surrounding Anissa since she's a black lesbian superhero, which is like never seen on television. I know they didn't talk about her sexuality in the premiere, but just to make sure, is she already out in the show?

"Oh, yes, she's fully out. She's been out since she was a teenager. She's 22 now. She's walking boldly and unapologetically in who she is. It's amazing to watch because I've been getting on social media a lot of comments. Not even just black lesbians, just young lesbians everywhere who want to see more of themselves on TV and show what the life of a lesbian is like. You're gonna go on that journey with Anissa. It's also cool because my parents on the show, they're very accepting and open about my sexuality. I hope that parents watching are inspired to support their lesbian or gay child."

Toni Braxton thinks Selena Gomez is a "pioneer" for being so open about her battle with lupus. Braxton who suffers from lupus herself says Gomez is brave for battling the condition in the spotlight. “I feel so blessed because the doctors told me I would never be able to perform, I would never be able to travel or anything, but, you know, whole different plan for me,” Braxton said. “[The illness] is also stress induced, and my lupus loves my heart — meaning it affects my heart badly — and so I have heart disease along with it and I get blood clots. I have to be very, very careful, but I’m learning my body and I know how to pace it and how to make it relax.” Braxton gives props to Selena Gomez making her story so public and opening up about her struggles, which, in turn, helps others battling the disease.
