Follow up from this post

- Joel Kramer, stunt coordinator for True Lies, was fired from his agency, Worldwide Production Agency.
-Eliza wrote on Facebook Saturday about how Cramer befriended her and her parents, groomed her, and then sexually assaulted her when she was 12. After the incident, he sabotaged her harness and she was injured on the set of True Lies.

Today, Eliza's then legal guaridan on set, Sue Booth Forbes, supported Eliza's story. She said:
"I was on the True Lies set for 3 weeks and reported Joel Kramer's inappropriate sexual behavior towards 12-year-old Eliza to a person in authority. I was met with blank stares and had the sense that I wasn't telling that person anything they didn't already know."

ONTD speculation post: What celebrities will end up on Celebrity Big Brother USA?

$

Celebrity Big Brother is less than four weeks away from premiering on Wednesday, February 7 at 8/7c on CBS, but we still don't know much. While CBS has released the jam-packed schedule, with 13 episodes airing over just 19 days, the cast is still a mystery.

If the same pattern holds, fans can expect CBS to announce the cast on Monday, January 29, or perhaps the day after.

//

Rumors continue to swirl about Matt Iseman and Ross Mathews joining the show. (OP Note: Who???)

Iseman has made no secret of the fact that he is a huge Big Brother fan. That has led many to wonder if he would be part of Celebrity Big Brother USA. And Iseman only furthered the speculation with a series of tweets referencing the show’s motto, “Expect the Unexpected.”

//

Most interestingly, Evel Dick Donato has pointed out that some interesting "celebrities" have followed him on Twitter recently. Could it be that they will end up in the house and are currently watching past seasons?

Aziz Ansari responds to Allegation of Sexual Misconduct

Aziz Ansari has released a statement in response to allegations by 23 year old photographer "Grace" of sexual misconduct. It as follows:

In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual.

The next day, I got a text from her saying that although "it may have seemed okay," upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.

I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue.

Jamie Lee Curtis responds to True Lies allegations

.@jamieleecurtisspeaks out on Eliza Dushku's 'True Lies' assault allegation: "All of us must take some responsibility"https://t.co/vX63bOvIPepic.twitter.com/L3dMRsp8Mh

— Variety (@Variety) January 15, 2018

Jamie Lee Curtis is responding to the accusations put forth by Eliza Dushku about the stunt coordinator on True Lies. Curtis starred in the film alongside Dushku, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Tia Carrere among others.

Dushku claims that the stunt coordinator sexually assaulted her on the set.

In an op ed, Curtis recalled that Dushku had come to her privately a few years ago about the abuse. “What compounds the difficulty here is that the stunt coordinator in question was literally in charge of our lives, our safety. Stunts always require an enormous amount of trust and on that movie, in particular, we all were often suspended by wires and harnesses, very high in the air. In my case, I was suspended under a helicopter by a wire, holding onto the hand of the man who is now being accused of abuse.”

ONTD Original: 11 most uncomfortable moments during interviews

$

11. Jesse Eisenberg vs. Univision reporter

While promoting 'Now You See Me' these two got in a very weird interview, they tried to be overly friendly and ended up insulting each other and getting very passive-aggressive. No winners here. It's just hard to watch.

10. Scarlett Johansson is tired of the sexist questions.

A douchebag asks Scarlett what was she wearing under her Black Widow suit and she explodes saying she's tired of the same sexist questions and how inappropriate it is....And of course Jeremy Renner tries to explain the question to her.

Tbf, an awesome reporter flipped the sexist question on the men in another interview.

9. Taylor Swift is going home to her cats.

A reporter suggests Taylor is going home with a few prizes and also lots of men. (wtf?) Taylor's reaction is priceless, almost mad but eventually plays it off...

8. Tom Hardy eyerolls sexist question.

During a press conference for 'Mad Max Fury Road', a dumb reporter asks Tom Hardy (9:56): 'As you were reading the script, did you ever asked yourself why are all these women in here, i thought this was supposed to be a man's movie?' to which Hardy obviously shuts with an eyeroll and a 'No. Not for one minute'. People clap, Charlize eyerolls. It's awkward.

7. Ariana Grande shuts down your dumb questions.

I have no words. I just... i just can't.... It's cringy. Way too cringy.

6. Tarantino snaps.

This reporter tried to be Diane Sawyer or something and the interview about Django Unchained got pretty intense. Quentin Tarantino refuses to discuss any link between movie violence and real life violence

5. Mila Kunis defends JT and shuts down a reporter.

As problematic as JT can be, this was just rude. A russian reporter asks him why is he acting, doesn't he have enough in his plate with music (he should stop, i agree). Mila comes in JT's defense and 👏SHUTS👏HER👏DOWN👏... in russian!!

4. Tom Cruise jumps on the couch.

While not exactly uncomfortable, it was pretty weird seeing Tom off the meds Xanu forces him to take so cheerful and giddy. Also, the way he drags Katie to the stage is just... ugh.

3. Whoopi Goldberg & Joy Behar vs. Bill O'Reilly

You know it's bad when the hosts walk out. The discussion on the View is pretty intense as it is, add Bill O'Reilly saying "Muslim killed us on 9/11", Whoopi cursing on air and Barbra almost having a heart attack.

2. Robert Downey Jr. walks out.

This piece of shit of interviewer again. (also, bitch...cutch yo nails!) He kept nagging him about his past with drugs and prison while he was promoting Avengers Age of Ultron, in the end RDJ walked out.

1. Lauren Conrad shuts down a sexist question.

People have their issues with Lauren Conrad, but she gets #1 spot just for her response alone. She was on a morning radio talk show when some sexist assholes asked her 'what's her favorite position (in bed)?'and her answer was AH-MAH-ZING.

NEON IN DAYLIGHT

New York City in 2012, the sweltering summer before Hurricane Sandy hits. Kate, a young woman newly arrived from England, is staying in a Manhattan apartment while she tries to figure out her future. She has two unfortunate responsibilities during her time in America: to make regular Skype calls to her miserable boyfriend back home, and to cat-sit an indifferent feline named Joni Mitchell.

The city has other plans for her. In New York's parks and bodegas, its galleries and performance spaces, its bars and clubs crowded with bodies, Kate encounters two strangers who will transform her stay: Bill, a charismatic but embittered writer made famous by the movie version of his only novel; and Inez, his daughter, a recent high school graduate who supplements her Bushwick cafe salary by enacting the fantasies of men she meets on Craigslist. Unmoored from her old life, Kate falls into an infatuation with both of them.

THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW

Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.

Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother, their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble—and its shocking secrets are laid bare.

What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems.

ISTANBUL: A Tale of Three Cities

From the Koran to Shakespeare, this city with three names--Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul--resonates as an idea and a place, real and imagined. Standing as the gateway between East and West, North and South, it has been the capital city of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. For much of its history it was the very center of the world, known simply as "The City," but, as Bettany Hughes reveals, Istanbul is not just a city, but a global story.

In this epic new biography, Hughes takes us on a dazzling historical journey from the Neolithic to the present, through the many incarnations of one of the world's greatest cities--exploring the ways that Istanbul's influence has spun out to shape the wider world. Hughes investigates what it takes to make a city and tells the story not just of emperors, viziers, caliphs, and sultans, but of the poor and the voiceless, of the women and men whose aspirations and dreams have continuously reinvented Istanbul

THE FLOATING WORLD

A dazzling debut about family, home, and grief, The Floating World takes readers into the heart of Hurricane Katrina with the story of the Boisdorés, whose roots stretch back nearly to the foundation of New Orleans. Though the storm is fast approaching the Louisiana coast, Cora, the family’s fragile elder daughter, refuses to leave the city, forcing her parents, Joe Boisdoré, an artist descended from a freed slave who became one of the city’s preeminent furniture makers, and his white “Uptown” wife, Dr. Tess Eshleman, to evacuate without her, setting off a chain of events that leaves their marriage in shambles and Cora catatonic--the victim or perpetrator of some violence mysterious even to herself.

This mystery is at the center of C. Morgan Babst’s haunting, lyrical novel. Cora’s sister, Del, returns to New Orleans from the life she has tried to build in New York City to find her hometown in ruins and her family deeply alienated from one another. As Del attempts to figure out what happened to her sister, she must also reckon with the racial history of the city, and the trauma of destruction that was not, in fact, some random act of God, but an avoidable tragedy visited upon New Orleans’s most helpless and forgotten citizens.

THREE FLOORS UP

Set in an upper-middle-class Tel Aviv apartment building, this best-selling and warmly acclaimed Israeli novel examines the interconnected lives of its residents, whose turmoils, secrets, unreliable confessions, and problematic decisions reveal a society in the midst of an identity crisis.

On the first floor, Arnon, a tormented retired officer who fought in the First Intifada, confesses to an army friend with a troubled military past how his obsession about his young daughter's safety led him to lose control and put his marriage in peril. Above Arnon lives Hani, known as "the widow," whose husband travels the world for his lucrative job while she stays at home with their two children, increasingly isolated and unstable. When her brother-in-law suddenly appears at their door begging her to hide him from loan sharks and the police, she agrees in spite of the risk to her family, if only to bring some emotional excitement into her life. On the top floor lives a former judge, Devora. Eager to start a new life in her retirement, Devora joins a social movement, desperately tries to reconnect with her estranged son, and falls in love with a man who isn't what he seems
