A follow-up to the previous anime post

Sanrio Danshi (Sanrio Boys) finally premiered on January 6th after teasers from last year.

The first episode revolves mostly around Kouta Hasegawa's backstory of being gifted a Pompompurin plushy by his grandmother...

After being ridiculed by kids for showing love for the plushy, he starts to feel ashamed and angry, and then begins to ignore his grandmother. When it becomes #toolatetoapologize, Kouta's grandmother passes away and leaves him guilty.
Years pass and now in high school, he meets a couple of classmates who share the same interest in Sanrio characters. This may be the #community he always needed.

Peter's ex Brittany gave an exclusive interview with Reality Steve about her relationship with Peter AND SPILLED THAT HOT TEA.

- she initially rejected him because she wasn't ready for a relationship and he basically held that above her head when they finally started dating
- helped take his audition photos and video
- told her he was only doing the show to get pr/increase his personal training business because he didn't want to be some middle class midwesterner

Justin's new single's music video has horrible view numbers with 15 million views on it's 4th day of release. For comparison Taylor Swift's lead video had over 100 million views by the same period.

Industry experts thought Justin would have no problem debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but early projections for next week's Billboard Hot 100 have Justin debuting at Number 8.

The Daily Mail reports that a string of female nurses are accusing Stan Lee of repeatedly groping and harassing them.

An attorney representing Lee denied the allegations and claimed that Lee is being extorted for cash.

Gillian Anderson, former star of American Gods, The X-Files, Hannibal and The Fall, was honored with a star bearing her name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Media...Bedelia...Scully...err...Gillian showed up looking like a hot Bergdorf Goodman store manager from the neck up and Hollywood goddess from the neck down. Joel McHale introduced her during the ceremony, Chris Carter, Annabeth Gish (who is aging WELL) & Bryan Fuller were also in attendance to support her. David Duchovny was a no-show.



Gillian also said this to Variety about how she picks her roles (in the past and in the coming future):
“First and foremost I would say whether it excites me creatively to take me away from my kids. That includes, obviously, the quality of the writing, the director that’s attached, the amount of time I would be required to work on it. I’ve got to feel that it’s going to be challenging and different enough from what I’ve done before.”

She also released a book last year called "We: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere” with Jennifer Nadel. The book is "part self-help, part social theory, designed to encourage and nurture women to live happier and better lives."

Last night Farrow was busy calling out the hypocrisy of the Golden Globes who four years ago gave Allen a Lifetime Achievement Award. She also issued a statement that those wearing black were not doing enough if they refused to denounce Allen after working with him. In particular her statement referrenced Blake Lively and Justin Timberlake (both of whom did not return Buzzfeeds calls for comment):

I fully support women taking a stand, linking arms with other women (and men), advocating on behalf of one another to effect change not only in the entertainment industry but in the world at large. That is an admirable and worthwhile objective, I hope these women change the world. That said, the people who join this movement without taking any kind of personal accountability for the ways in which their own words and decisions have helped to perpetuate the culture they are fighting against, that’s hard for me to reconcile.

I struggle to understand how a woman who believes Woody Allen is 'empowering to women' can claim the role as an advocate for women suffering from sexual harassment. I struggle with how a powerful force like Justin Timberlake can claim to be in awe of the strength of women and stand with them at this #MeToo moment and then in the next breath say that working with Woody Allen is a 'dream come true.

Advocating for “every victim” in the abstract is great for illustration. In practice, each victim is a real person with a story that may be inconvenient and require sacrifice to stand with them. If Hollywood isn’t prepared to do that, they shouldn’t try to lead this movement.

Roseanne Barr, who ran for president on the Peace and Freedom party's ticket in 2012 after losing the Green Party presidential nomination to Jill Stein, is a Trump supporter and so is her character on the Roseanne reboot because as she explains, "it's just realistic" as half the country voted for him.

When asked about how she reconciled the anti-racism message of one of this season's episodes with Trump's racism she denied Trump's racism, said the real racist was Hillary Clinton "because of Haiti", and cited the black unemployment rate under Trump as proof of his anti-racism.

She spoke out against what she called "hate-riotism" as she claimed “people hating other people for the way they voted… is un-American.”

She says she'd be a better president than Oprah or Susan Sarandan and possibly even better than Trump.

She's been taking a break from Twitter because her kids locked her out of her account to prevent her Twitter personality from overshadowing the show.

After a large lead in the 1st half (13-0), the Georgia Bulldogs managed to STILL lose to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

• the game went into overtime (just like the Rose Bowl) but Georgia did not come out on top this time.


• This national championship is Alabama’s 17th


• Alabama had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but a 36-yard field goal attempt was missed


• In overtime, Georgia scored a field goal but when Alabama got back the ball, they scored a TD.
