Elton John interviews Eminem on his upcoming album Revival. They discuss his writing process, sobriety, Donald Trump, the cypher, and why he likes to stay away from the spotlight



On Donald Trump: It was about having the right to stand up to oppression. I mean, that’s exactly what the people in the military and the people who have given their lives for this country have fought for—for everybody to have a voice and to protest injustices and speak out against shit that’s wrong. We’re not trying to disrespect the military, we’re not trying to disrespect the flag, we’re not trying to disrespect our country. But shit is going on that we want to make you aware of. We have a president who does not care about everybody in our country; he is not the president for all of us, he is the president for some of us. He knows what he’s doing.

As long as he’s got his base, he does not give a fuck about anybody else in America. But guess what? There’s more of us than there are of them. I still feel like America is the greatest country to live in. This is my opinion. But we have issues that we need to work on and we need to do better.

On the cypher: He explains the original idea for the cypher was to do it acappela at the BET awards but it didn't work out. He wrote it and memorized prior to the cypher.

On Staying out of the spotlight: he believes that the more you stay out of the spotlight the better. "And I realize that some people see going away as, “Oh, he’s irrelevant now,” but I feel like if I don’t go away, I get sick of myself. It’s never been my thing to be in the spotlight all the time."

JOHN: When this album comes out, people are going to want to hear it. It’s a tribute to your longevity as an artist, your intelligence, your musical and lyrical brilliance. On June 27, 1976, four hijackers take over an Air France flight from Israel to Paris and force the plane to land at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. The militants threaten to kill passengers unless dozens of Palestinian resistance fighters held in Israel are released.

Daniel Brühl and Rosamund Pike play members of a radical West German group who carried out the hijacking along with Palestinian revolutionaries. The cast also includes Eddie Marsan as Shimon Peres, Israel’s defense minister at the time and later its president and prime minister.

Rachael Denhollander, Aly Raisman, and McKayla Maroney make statements on Larry Nassar

Rachael Denhollander was the first person to publicly speak out about Larry Nassar in September 2016. She and 2000 Olympic bronze medalist, Jamie Dantzscher who was still anonymous at time, were the only accusers at the time and there were still many gymnasts, coaches, parents of gymnasts, etc. supporting Nassar. Since then over 140 gymnasts have filed lawsuits or come out against Nassar. Today, Nassar was sentenced to 60 years in prison for posessing child pornography. After the sentence, Rachael spoke on air about how USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University were complicit.

Aly Raisman, 6x Olympic medalist and the captain of the Fierce Five and Final Five teams that won gold in 2012 and 2016, publicly came out as one of Nassar's survivors last month. None of Nassar's survivors were allowed to speak out against him in court, so Aly shared her powerful statement she had prepared through The Players' Tribune. She details how she's now untrusting of even female doctors because she's afraid that something might happen even with the best doctors because she was told Nassar was the best doctor, wasn't able to undergo treatments gymnasts need like massages because of the distrust, is afraid of being alone with any men in a room, developed anxiety and ended up unconscious due to a bad reaction to anxiety and sleeping medication and can no longer take any medication recommended by her doctor to cope because of the trauma from her bad reaction to the previous medication, and how her friendship with another one of Nassar's survivors suffered because she reminds her friend too much of the trauma they had to go through together.
2x World Vault Champion and 2x Olympic medalist, McKayla Maroney, had already been part of those that anonymously sued Nassar and USAG, but she publicly came out as one of Nassar's survivors in October following the #MeToo movement. Before Nassar's sentencing, McKayla and her mom, Erin, sent a letter to the judge and court asking for the maximum sentence for Nassar. The letter details the extent of Nassar's abuse, how McKayla became depressed and suicidal, and how if USAG and MSU didn't ignore complaints about Nassar dating back to 20 years ago, McKayla would have never even met Nassar.

Have fun rotting in prison, Nassar! Everyone complicit at MSU and USAG needs to be fired and join him. Also, I was really happy that TIME chose the Silence Breakers as POTY 2017, but there were no mentions of any of the gymnasts that came out against Nassar in the article and I wish they had been included as well.

*Google is rolling out a new feature on it's mobile web search app where celebrities will answer some of the most commonly asked questions about themselves in a 30 second selfie-video style.

*If a question is searched for that has a pre-recorded answer, the video will appear at the top of the search results.

*The celebs included in the initial launch are Priyanka Chopra, Will Ferrell, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gina Rodriguez, Kenan Thompson, Allison Williams, Nick Jonas, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Seth MacFarlane, and Dominique Ansel.

*Google says more celebrities will be added, including up and coming celebs, in the next few months.

Also says that the inability to speak openly to fans about this issue has been difficult, frustrating and at times painful for her but she had to respect the agreements that have been put in place to protect the privacy of two people.
Says that based on their understanding of the circumstances, they are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies.

- Sia is an extremely successful musician who performs behind a giant black and white wig that covers her face

- She has spoken about how damaging, toxic and exhausting fame is, which is why she hides her identity.

- Instead she has enlisted 15 year old star of the reality show Dance Moms, Maddie Ziegler, to "be her face". Maddie's appeared in multiple music videos, concert tours, photoshoots and album covers as 'litle Sia'.

- Although already a star because of Dance Moms, Maddie's fame has increased significantly since Sia hired her. She now has 10 million Instagram followers and 1.2 million Twitter followers. She has her own clothing line, was a judge on So You Think You Can Dance, and has recently transitioned into acting, making her feature film debut in the widely panned 'Book of Henry'.

- The Guardian questions why, if fame is so dangerous, she would choose to pass it on to a child instead of bearing the burden herself, or at least giving it to an adult who can cope with it.

- Sia on fame:“If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous,” Sia wrote. “Imagine the stereotypical highly opinionated, completely uninformed mother-in-law character and apply it to every teenager with a computer in the entire world. Then add in all bored people, as well as people whose job it is to report on celebrities. Then, picture that creature, that force, criticizing you for an hour straight once a day, every day, day after day.”

“I think on some level Woody is a woman,” she said. “I just think he’s very in touch with that side of himself. He understands the female characters he creates exceptionally well. His female characters are always so rich and large and honest in terms of how they’re feeling and he just knows how to write dialogue for them to communicate all that.”

Porn actors are calling for Jaxton Wheeler to be blacklisted after he told August Ames to either apologize or "swallow a cyanide pill" after she warned a female performer that her partner had done gay porn before.

Jaxton Wheeler has since deleted the tweet and made his account private. Austin Wilde also made his account private after calling out August Ames for her initial tweet.

Porn company Evil Angel said that they would never hire Jaxton Wheeler again.










Following news of August Ames' suicide, Grace Evangeline shared private messages she received from Jaxton Wheeler where he threatened her with physical violence.




Conner Habib sent out a tweet to the porn stars accused of bullying August Ames telling them that their work is appreciated.




Bruce Beckham says he never wished self-harm or violence on August Ames after he received backlash from his tweets about August.
