Eleven years ago, Paris Hilton and Pop Icon Britney Spears invented the selfie. Or at least, that's what the heiress claims. Last night, Hilton tweeted the photos of her and Spears from 2006 and it didn't take long for Twitter to respond with receipts to dismiss that claim. But let's be real, Nothing In This World.mp3 will convince her otherwise.

ONTD, do you take selfies?

Anne Wojcicki's Mom Basically Says Alex Rodriguez Was Too Stupid to Date Her Daughter, Shades J-Lo

Esther Wojcicki, mother of entrepreneur Anne Wojcicki, spoke with The New York Times for a profile on her daughter and basically said baseball player Alex Rodriguez was too dumb to be her daughter's partner. Rodriguez and Wojcicki dated for a little under a year and broke up in February. He is now dating Jennifer Lopez.

Quote:

"I liked A-Rod, he was a very nice man. He came from a Hispanic family. We liked them, they were very sweet. He seemed to be genuinely in love with Anne. But I right away figured out this was a mismatch. He had no academic background. We couldn’t have an intellectual conversation about anything. His main interest in life was something that none of us had ever focused on, which was baseball. He could park himself in front of a TV and watch baseball for 10 hours a day. He wasn’t even sure he wanted to go on the yacht with Anne because the TV might not be working. I wish J-Lo all the luck in the world.

“We couldn’t go anywhere with him. If we went to Target to look for clothes for the kids, all of a sudden we’d be looking around and people would be saying, ‘We just want a selfie with A-Rod.’ He can’t walk across Central Park. He has to take a cab. That will work better with J-Lo because she’s like, ‘Take a picture of me anytime.’

Natalie Portman talks about harassment and sexism

- She says she's never been assaulted but has faced discrimination and harassment, she realizes this upon reflection since those are things often considered just part of the process.
- She was 11 years old when she was cast in "Léon: The Professional", after that she was called "Lolita" and similar stuff in reviews and that scared her so, for a while, she didn't want to do any kissing and sexual scenes.
- She considers the lack of women on set is a big issue since it isolates women and prevents them from sharing stories and mentorship.
- A producer invited her to fly with him in his private plane, but when she was aboard there was only one bed. She was unharmed but scared.
- A male director yelled at her and called her "exhausting" for expressing her opinions. A male actor stood up for her and pointed out that she was just talking like he had done, yet they listened to him.

Youtube Makeup Guru Drama: Jeffree Star Apparently No Longer Friends With MannyMUA and Laura Lee

$

Over the past few weeks or so, rumors have been going around about Jeffree Star no longer being friends with MannyMUA and Laura Lee, his supposed "best friends" in the world.

Summary:
-Jeffree's boyfriend unfollowed Manny and Laura on social media and they unfollowed him back.

-Neither Laura nor Manny said happy birthday to Jeffree on his birthday, but Manny went out of his way to wish a happy birthday to a random person. Jeffree later confirmed on Twitter that Manny hadn't called him and told a fan to stop defending someone (Manny) who "doesn't give a shit about you."

-The ~rumor mill~ says that the reason behind the breakup is Jeffree choosing not to financially back Laura and Manny's future makeup lines. Laura's recent eyeshadow palette (which was supposedly shipped and manufactured by Jeffree's facility) apparently underperformed. After seeing that, Jeffree decided to not back her future releases or Manny's makeup line. The two got salty and decided to cut ties.

-Manny and Jeffree have both been liking shady tweets about the situation.

-Jeffree collaborated with Manny this year on products for his own brand. Manny supposedly stole his logo for the collab from Blackmoon Cosmetics, which resulted in Jeffree's company getting sued and him having to pay the settlement.

-Jeffree's bought both Manny and Laura and shit ton of stuff over the years and taken them on a bunch of vacations.

After the Instagram account trendmood1 leaked details about Laura Lee's upcoming collaboration with Colourpop, Jackie Aina tweeted this:

Meryl Streep Once Chased Away an Abusive Man with Cher

Speaking at the annual ceremony for the Comitte to Protect Journalists, Meryl Streep shared the following anecdote: “I learned something about life that I wouldn’t have known otherwise and I was lucky because my instincts served me well. In one instance, I played dead and waited until the blows stopped— watching like people say you do from about 50 feet above from where I was beaten. And in the second instance, someone else was being abused and I just went completely nuts and went after this man. Ask Cher — she was there. And the thug ran away, it was a miracle.”

Matthew Weiner on sexual harassment allegations: "It's great that we're having this conversation."

Weiner's statement:
"The allegation is not true.
[...]
For like 92 hours of the show, we wanted people to be having this conversation. It's great that we're having it. It's a very serious issue. It's great that we're having this conversation.
[...]
I don't want to speak to someone else's character, but I will say this: I have hired dozens of women over the years and dozens of people. I am a demanding boss. Especially in the early years, it was very hard to do it. I had a lot of stress and - you know this - it's very lonely. When I think back on it, if I had to do it differently, letting people go and being mad about having to rewrite everything - I was just angry a lot of the time.
[...]
The person I am now would definitely do it in a different way. [He wants to thank those he's worked with over the years for their support.]"(Gee, guess now we have confirmation on why the cast/crew of Mad Men has been so deathly silent.)"They know how important this is to me and they know the kind of person I am."

Weiner's statement comes on the heels of Mad Men's consulting producer Marti Noxon supporting Kater Gordon's allegations, as well as calling him an "emotional terrorist".
