According to TV By the Numbers, the finale garnered 1.9 million viewers and a .5 in the 18-49 demo. While it held 100% of the lead-in from Once Upon A Time’s target, 18-49 demo, and 81% of its total lead-in audience, it actually dropped 20/20’s ratings to its lowest in years. Because of the Inhumans effect, 20/20 rival Dateline (at NBC) has doubled the former’s ratings.

At the 2017 EMAs she hosted yesterday where she had thirteen costume changes including two different bathrobes as outfits, Rita performed a medley of "Your Song" and "Anywhere".



Rita also recently explained what characterizes her new music: "I think with this album, what makes a Rita Ora song is that it's got that desperation for validation—do you know what I mean? You can feel it in songs like ‘Anywhere’ and ‘Lonely Together’, which I think represent my album so well."

She says the key to her success is her obsession with it:
“I was thinking about it all the time—every day, every night. I may have sacrificed a lot of emotions and personal things but I don't regret that and I wouldn't change it. I think I wanted to get out of the council estate I grew up in and I wanted to give my parents something really nice. That's how it happened. I was always like: I've gotta get out of here.”

Background (trigger warning for rape, torture): Ella/L (a pseudonym) was outted as a lesbian in Uganda. An angry mob tried to kill her. Then the police tortured her. Then… her own father hired a man to rape her. She got a visa and plane ticket to come to the US, where she has relatives who can take her in. But when she landed in the US, hostile US Customs agents badgered her and refused to let her speak to the lawyer. She froze up and failed to trigger her asylum claim. US authorities immediately tried to deport her back to Uganda. She managed to escape her US escorts at a layover, and has been hiding in Kenya (where homosexuality is also illegal) since. There's now a #BringEllaBack campaign to get Customs and Border Protection to reeopen her case:

EA Defense Of 'Star Wars Battlefront II' Becomes Most Downvoted Reddit Comment Ever

With triple AAA video games suddenly making a bigger push towards microtransactions and loot boxes this year, it is effecting beloved franchises like Shadow of War and Call of Duty and now it is rearing its ugly head towards Star Wars Battlefront II. In order to obtain iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, which cost an in-game currency of 60,000 credits, you have to invest 40 hours into the game in order to get them and this is without spending any money on microtransactions. Other characters like Leia and Chewbacca are tiered at 40,000 credits. To put that into perspective each 10-15 minute match only rewards you with 250-350 credits.

Of course there was a clear outrage on the matter with a post spawning in the battlefront subreddit. An EA developer tried to defend the choice of locking those characters in the post stating that they want players to feel "a sense of pride and accomplishment" for unlocking them:



In less than 24 hours it has since become the most downvoted comment in reddit's history with over -400k votes. As a comparison in second place was a joke comment with -24k votes made in /r/me_irl who purposely wanted downvotes. So congratualtion EA, you definitely deserved it.

Comparing the ArtPopWork of Britney Spears and Taylor Swift

I think I see water colors from this potion / Paint trays and brushes, overdosin' / Smells like paint fumes and the ocean / Like an ArtPop party. It seems that the good sis Taylor Swift can't help but dabble into Britney Spears territory. Pop Icon Britney Spears has been sharing her personal artwork via Instagram as early as January of 2016. But it wasn't until a more recent Instagram post where Britney Van Gough was seen painting her Iconic ...Baby One More Time album flowers on a canvas while Mozart’s “Piano Sonata No. 11" played was it that the media caught wind of Spears additonal talent in the Arts. That painting went on to be sold for $10,000 to Robin Leach for VegasCares, an organization raising money to commission an art piece in memory of Las Vegas massacre victims. With Taylor Swift's most recent release, Reputation, the country star turned pop star released two exclusive mock up magazines for Target and in them featured artwork by Swift herself. Now while Britney's work may be a bit more...Introduction to Painting and Swift's a bit more Intermediate to Try Hard Painting - both offer a unique perspective and show a stark contrast when compared. One is simply living her best life and the other is using her artpopwork to literally tell you that she is living her best life. Are you ready for it? Let the art exhibition games begin (ah ah).

Flowery Day by Britney Spears

This piece is Britney's contrast painting to Starry Night, the piece of B that started it all and went on to be sold for $10,000 for charity and recently announced a residency next year at the Met in New York City. Simple and yet simply Iconic. When viewing this piece it's best to have Mozart’s “Piano Sonata No. 11" or Carly Rae Jepsen's "Cut to the Feeling" playing in the background. Either will do. Mozartnators and Jepsenators please let's not turn this post into a Stan War yet again.

Nobody Has Heard From Me For Months by Taylor Swift

Passive aggression takes art form in this piece by Swift. Featuring a unique and original subject like the ocean and dark clouds in orange skies in what seems to be the sun setting perhaps? A bit eerie and "the storm" I suppose. Instead of letting the art speak for itself, Taylor will tell you exactly what this piece means with a caption below it. "All the liars are calling me one, nobody's heard from me for months..."

...Baby One More Leaf by Britney Spears

Colorful, vibrant, and leafy. Spears shows range with color and sizes and works on her repetition skills with this piece. While being painted first and before Flowery Day it simply didn't garner the same buzz or attention. I suppose this one will remain a B-Side only the fans have heard of and seen.

Living My Best Reputation by Taylor Swift

Same subject, different time.
Her after the storm, the sky is clear and Swift once again tells you "...I'm doing better than I ever was."
Phew. She is a surviving inspiration. If Taylor can make it through 2017...I can make it through this post.

After the NY Times story in which female comics came forward about Louis CK's repeated sexual misconduct and Louis CK admitted they were true despite previously calling those women liars for years, his friend and fellow comic Marc Maron tweeted that he didn't think twitter was an appropriate forum for his thoughts on the matter and he'd be discussing it on his podcast.

Tom Sizemore Was Kicked Off a Film Set For Allegedly Molesting an 11-Year-Old Actress

"A dozen cast and crewmembers" have told The Hollywood Reporter that actor Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Born on the Fourth of July, True Romance) was kicked off the set of Born Killers in 2003 after an 11-year-old actress in the film told her parents that he had touched her inappropriately while they were posing for a photographer to create photos that would be used in the film. Months later, after the girl’s parents declined to press charges, Sizemore was allowed to come back and do re-shoots to complete the film.

Sizemore has a long rap sheet, including drug charges and multiple counts of battery against women. He had recently been convicted of beating and stalking his ex-girlfriend, Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss, when the incident on Born Killers occurred.

Sizemore apparently denied the allegations as soon as they were made, but he was kicked off the set anyway and both his agent and manager quietly parted ways with him shortly afterward.


The girl was wearing a nightgown during the photo shoot and said that Sizemore put his hand up it and either rubbed his finger against her vagina or inserted it inside.

Robyn Adamson, the actress who played Sizemore's wife in the film, was at the photo shoot and said: "At one point her eyes got just huge, like she could've vomited. I was watching her. She soon reintegrated and kept going, although she had trouble taking direction. Later, when I was told about what happened, I knew exactly what it was."

Roi Maufas, a production assistant on the film, said. "The little girl said what she said and we all thought, 'That fucking sleazebag.' There was never any doubt. He was this guy who was already known for making inappropriate comments, being drunk, being high. We're talking about consistent behavior, just being 'Tom Sizemore' on set every day. Then this happens. Guys reached for hammers. [Producer James R. Rosenthal, who died in 2011], who was livid himself, had to stop a group of us from going to visit Mr. Sizemore to kick the guy's ass."

Gus Spoliansky, a producer on the film, said: "We had a fiduciary responsibility to complete the film so we decided to go about business as usual — lacking the evidence of what happened that day… We took the allegation extremely seriously and we were willing to do anything, including dismissing Tom. We just couldn't be police, judge and jury."

IGN staff walk out after former employee's sexual assault claims

  • Allegations emerged last week that a former editor sexually assaulted two women at IGN. One example that one of the victims, Kallie Plagge, brought up on Twitter:“‘When I was your age I could go all night.’ He put his hand on my arm. ‘I just want one more night like that.’”

  • Plagge says that she and the other woman reported the incident, and then were told to sit and work in a glass conference room, akin to a fishbowl, while IGN sorted things out. They forced them to sign documents saying it was their fault and they behaved inappropriately. As a result,Plagge said she regrets reporting to HR.

  • IGN released a statement today supposedly written by the website's content team stating, among other things: "It is with great sadness, pain, and regret that we tell you that IGN has failed two of its female employees, one former and one current – both of whom the team cares deeply about. We are devastated that two of our own have had to live with and carry this pain for more than a year........The human resources representative who oversaw this situation originally is no longer with the company, and our current HR rep has been transparent and willing to listen to ideas and suggestions for how to create a better work environment going forward........We are aware of the influence that IGN has in the gaming and entertainment community, and we will utilize that to the best of our abilities going forward. And we will continue to challenge our management and human resources teams to fix what is broken, because if we can’t or if we don’t, then IGN will no longer be a place we’re proud to call home – as content creators, entertainment consumers, and as gamers."

Barbie Just Released Its First Doll Wearing a Hijab to Honor American Olympian Ibtihaj Muhammad

- Barbie released a new line called Shero - female heroes who inspire girl by breaking boundaries and expanding possibilities for women everywhere. This line also includes women like Ava DuVernay and Gabby Douglas. The doll was unveiled at Glamour's Woman of the Year Summit on Nov. 13.

- Is the first Barbie doll to wear a Hijab.

- In 2016 Ibtihaj Muhammad became the first American athlete in history to compete in hijab at the Olympics.

- "Through playing with Barbie, I was able to imagine and dream about who I could become," Muhammad said in the press release.

She also says: "I love that my relationship with Barbie has come full circle, and now I have my own doll wearing a hijab that the next generation of girls can use to play out their own dreams."

Call It What You Want, but Taylor's fans were clearly not ...Ready For It, as her SNL episode drew the worst ratings of the season.

The "Don't Blame Me""singer" screeched a few songs off of her latest artistic effort on SNL last Saturday, with Tiffany Haddish hosting the program. The show drew a 4.3 rating, down from last week's episode with Larry David.

Justice League version of Amazons causes backlash

-The behind the scenes image of some Amazons in Justice League has caused some outrage on twitter.

-Fans are not happy that the Amazons depicted in the Justice League appear to be showing to much skin for being warriors compared to the Amazons in Wonder Woman who have a more armored look.

-Fans equate this to JL being directed by a male along with the costume designer being male compared to their female counterparts on Wonder Woman.

-Official stills from Justice League seem to depict armored Amazons during the "present" day.
