  • Nikki Reed (29), who used to be an actor or something, gave birth three months ago to Bodhi Soleil Reed-Somerhalder (yes, that is her name).

  • On her Instagram, she posted a photo of her placenta pills with the caption: "Last day of placenta pills. Not ready to say goodbye!!!!! Ps sending love to all you mamas out there doing whatever feels right for you! This was recommended to me by my doula but that does not mean it’s for everyone :). Just do you! ❤"

  • If Reed can't toss the pills herself, perhaps husband Ian Somerhalder can throw them out like he did with her birth control.

-It is a long but poignant read considering his own mother the late Great Patty Dukes child actor career and the horrible abuse she suffered, and becoming later in life a mental health illness advocate. She was one of the first big celebrities to come out and speak out on mental illness.


-ONTD LOTR fans will recognize the pic Sean uses for Harvey Weinstein

-In the midst of the post, Sean responded in goodwill. One in particular stands out as someone commented asking about his own mother and the ordeal she went through. It is heartbreaking in terms of how this issue is something that Hollywood still does especially to young child actors. This in conjecture`with recent news of the APA agency firing off someone for their misconduct amongst his clients and etc. This has to change, everybody should be treated with dignity and respect no matter what status or position they are in.




-What Sean said is true, especially about President Trump in particular. He is a pos and any person who uses their power to coerce or intimidate people are horrible and foul creatures on our planet.

Lana Del Rey allegedly rebuffed Harvey Weinstein's advances and wrote about it back in 2012

  • In 2012, Lana Del Rey released a track entitled "Cola" which seemingly chronicles an affair with an older, married man. The song includes the lyrics: "I got a taste for men who are older. It’s always been, so it’s no surprise / Ah, he's in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy"

  • Today an industry source is claiming that the song, which also includes the line, "I know your wife, and she wouldn't mind," was written by Del Rey as an ironic response to the unwanted advances of none other than Harvey Weinstein

  • The aforementioned bolded lyric was originally recorded as, "Harvey's in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy," but upon getting wind of this the serial abuser/rapist "went bananas" and insisted on being excluded from the narrative

  • Weinstein allegedly pursued Del Rey sometime prior to the song's release, but she "wasn't into [him] at all" (she was in a longterm relationship with Kassidy frontman Barrie-James O'Neill from 2011-2014)

  • Del Rey would go on to contribute (2) songs to the soundtrack of 2014's Big Eyes, distributed by TWC

- channel 4 is airing a documentary following a white british woman using prosthetics and having her skin colour altered to see what life is like as a pakistani muslim woman in manchester
- many people criticised the use of brownface and pointed out that if you want to document islamophobia you could talk to actual muslims
- exec producer fozia khan said in defense: "the programme allowed Katie to meaningfully walk in the shoes of someone from a different background and to experience what it is like to be part of the British Pakistani Muslim community rather than observe it as an outsider"

Chiwetel Ejiofor to star in, write and direct film adaptation of 'The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

Production for the film has started in Malawi. It is based on a Ted talk + book by William Kamkwamba. In 2001, William's community was hard hit by famine. Like most in the village William's family relied on farming to survive and as a source of income.  William (who was 14 at the time) had to drop out of school, but kept going to the library to read and borrow books.

He came across a book called "Using Energy" which had wind turbines on its cover and because he is better than all of us he thotugh "I can do that!". He went on to build a windmill that could pump water and generate electricity - using parts he gathered around including a bicyle parts thereby saving his family and community from the famine. The story of his achievement went from local Malawian newspapers to American blogs and soon he was being flown to the US to deliver TED talks and he wrote a book.

William has since gone on to earn a degree from Dartmouth, a built another windmill and launched countless community projects.



The film stars newcomer Maxwell Simba as William Kamkwamba, Chiwetel Ejiofor as his father Trywell, Noma Dumezweni (Hermione in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Edith Sikelo, the librarian who helped bring William’s story to public attention, Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey -The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) as Chief Wimbe.

This video is Lady Gaga only. Her banter is a little awkward at times but her performances are good. Her Born This Way foundation donated $1M and specifically includes mental health support. Some harmless singing-flirting to the Presidents, particularly Obama, during You and I. ** Video quality is better on the full video (below)







Secret Service was surely on red alert, given that all five former POTUS were there. They appeared on stage during the anthem and once more when they spoke on stage later in the concert; otherwise, they sat in the front row in comfy chairs. At some point after Lady Gaga, they skidaddled.

... Bush 41 (who is in a wheelchair), plus Barbara (who is on portable oxygen)
... Bush 43 (who looked after dad), plus Laura
... Carter (no Rosalyn)
... Clinton (no Hillary, she's in UK on book tour; there's a different post with her appearance on the Graham Norton show)

This video is the full concert. The rest of the performers were /mostly/ old-school country or gospel. The Cadets sang the anthem (POTUS on stage) @ 23mins, and Lady Gaga is @ 1hr 35mins (times approx). For POTUS watchers, I'll drop a note in the comments. Also in attendance- VP Cheney, SOS Baker, Eddie Munster (lols), and other TX pols. The full video includes hurricane coverage and appearances by people who stepped up and helped out. Fun fact: Obama was welcomed like a rock star, every time.

I had a huge crush on Twiggy when I was a teenager, thought his relationship with Jessicka was ~goals~ and always assumed she was the one who masterminded his style change, not that he straight up ripped her off. This is heartbreaking and so is the asshole reaction from the remaining Marilyn Manson stans, but it's not as if anyone with critical thinking skills still listen to this band.

Over 30 Women Accuse Writer/Director James Toback of Sexual Harassment

James Toback is not a household name. He most recently made a sympathetic documentary about Mike Tyson and a documentary about funding in Hollywood that featured Jessica Chastain, someone he said he has known for years. Before that, he made a bunch of movies not many people have seen. But he still managed to use his tenuous connections to hit on young women (some of them underage). He would scope out girls while standing in line in the deli or walking down the street and tell them he was a movie director casting unknowns for his next movie. No one recognized his credits, so he’d tell them he directed Robert Downey Jr in three unknown films, that he “made” him. If they didn’t believe him, he would often carry a magazine with an article about him or one of his DVDs. Then, in later meetings, he would push them to tell him how far they would go sexually to get the role, and how far they would go on screen. In one of his movies, it opens with Neve Campbell masturbating with a handheld shower head for five minutes.



On set, he would corner actresses in their trailer and say inappropriate sexual things to them and would often masturbate in front of them. Louise Post of Veruca Salt said, “He told me he’d love nothing more than to masturbate while looking into my eyes.” Actress Echo Danon’s account was pretty similar. He put his hand on her knees and said, “If you look into my eyes and pinch my nipples, I’m going to come in my pants right now.” Other women recounted how he grinded on their legs or ejaculated into his pants in front of them.



Several of the women interviewed by the LA Times said they quit acting after their encounters with Toback. It wasn’t a secret in Hollywood that he was a creep. Spy Magazine wrote about it in the late ‘80s and so did Gawker in more recent years. Women would share there experiences with each other and say, “Oh no, you got Tobacked,” according to drama teacher, playwright, and actor Karen Sklaire.

Kevin Smith to donate residuals and $2000 a month to 'Women in Film' non-profit

-Kevin Smith's career was launched by Miraxmax through 'Clerks' (1994), and HW financed his work for the next 14 years.
-Talking on his 'Hollywood Babble-On' podcast, Smith said he would be donating all residuals from his numerous films made under Miramax and disgraced 'alleged' sexual abuser, sex pest, bully, potted plant defacer and waste of human skin Harvey Weinstein to non-profit org 'Women in Film', advocating for gender parity in the film industry.
-He acknowledged it is historically more difficult for women to get films financed/made, and knows that even residuals can't be enough reparation, so he will also donate $2000 a month to 'Women in Film' for the remainder of his life. (article states this is in the eventuality of TWC or Miramax being shut down, but in the Podcast he says that he is doing this as well as residuals).


-Smith comments that no movie produced by HW is worth the pain so many women have been put through:
"And no fucking movie is worth all this. Like, my entire career, fuck it, take it. It’s wrapped up in something really fucking horrible."
-Smith says he didn't know what to do, but this feels like a start, and hopefully the money will go to women who can make make film and chase their dreams like he could "without having to deal with some fucking animal saying, 'Here's the price.'"
-Getting emotional and rebutting his co-host and an audience member saying it isn't his fault, he said: "I know it’s not my fault, but I didn’t fucking help [...] Because I sat out there talking about this man like he was a hero, like he was my friend [...] I was singing praises of somebody that I didn’t fucking know. [...] Clearly he exists, but that man never showed himself to me. It all hurts, and it didn’t happen to me, but it all hurts."
-He says he isn't looking for any sympathy, but is trying to come to terms with how to live with success knowing it was started by a(n alleged) sexual abuser/predatory monster.
