sorry 'Breaking Bad' fans, another bad thing is coming to an end...

In lighthearted, but possibly devastating news for television viewers and fans, an iconic location used by AMC for its acclaimed series 'Breaking Bad' will have limited access and viewing to the public.

The owners of the home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the series is set announced this week that they will be erecting a fence to keep rabid fans of the show at bay. After years of reports of possible trespassing, people removing items from the property, and even re-enacting an iconic scene from the show where the protagonist, Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston), throws a pizza on the house's roof in anger, the owners are saying "sorry, but no more".

Home resident, Joanne Quintana, went on record saying that while the fans have mostly been a welcome sight, over the years and after the aforementioned reports of misbehavior, it's time to move on.

""We feel like we can't leave because when we, do something happens and that's ridiculous," said Quintana.

The announcement comes just Albuquerque kicked off its annual International Balloon Fiesta, in which it's been reported in previous years that tourists, spectators, and balloon enthusiasts cause the city's population to nearly double. Fiesta visitors this week could very well be in on the location's last hurrah.

Where will you throw your pizzas in anger from now on, ONTD?

Colton uploaded a selfie and a short paragraph for Mental Health Day earlier this week: "Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay . This is a photo I took of myself about a month ago when I had reached a point where I had no idea what to do. I had been in bed crying/paralyzed for 3 wks with no explanation. My personal life & career were at an all time high. I've talked about this before but I can't stress enough how important it is to seek help when your feeling down or in your darkest moments. I've struggled with Anxiety & Depression since I was in the 5th grade & it's not something that should go untreated or uncared for. I know a lot of people don't understand mental illness & pass it off as ppl being dramatic...but it's a chemical Imbalance that no one wants to struggle through. It's not easy. So let's all take a second to reach out to those in need of help & those who just need someone to talk to or some encouragement. A little love goes a long way. My heart is with my fellow survivors & ppl struggling through this disease...you aren't alone."

Mila Kunis Reveals Christmas Tradition: No Presents for the Kids

-“So far, our tradition is no presents for the kids. We’re instituting it this year because when the kids are [younger than] 1, it doesn’t really matter. Last year when we celebrated Christmas, [our daughter] Wyatt was 2 and it was too much. We didn’t give her anything — it was the grandparents. The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don’t even know what they’re expecting; they’re just expecting stuff.”
-"We’ve told our parents, ‘We’re begging you — if you have to give her something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we’d like to take a charitable donation, to the Children’s Hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want.’ That’s our new tradition,”

Vox Day (the guy behind the "Rabid Puppies" campaign) has been crowdfunding for an alt-right comic book called Alt★Hero. Characters include "a Confederate flag clad heroine named Rebel and Michael Martel, a vigilante who drops off criminal undocumented immigrants at the local Immigration and Customs Enforcement office."

He will apparently be joined by famous Batman writer Chuck Dixon (still working at DC with a series about Bane), who is known for his right-wing politics.

Vox has quoted Dixon as saying "These guys get me and I get them. Escapist entertainment, big outrageous ideas and all built on a foundation of principles that rejects the gloomy, preachy, bitterness of post-modern comics."

Marchesa: The fashion label built on intimidated actresses

$
0
0

● Georgina Chapin and Keren Craig launched Marchesa 2004. That same year Georgina met Harvey Weinstein at a party (love at first $ight)

● While still running the label out of an apartment A-list actresses like Renée Zellweger (Oscar winner that year for Miramax's Cold Mountain), Cate Blanchett (The Aviator) & Diane Kruger (National Treasure) were seen wearing the little known Marchesa brand to their major movie premieres (which also happen to be Disney/Miramax films)

Felicity Huffman was told by Harvey Weinstein that he wouldn't put any money behind promoting Transamerica unless she wore Marchesa on the red carpet. (She went on to wear Marchesa to the premiere and the Golden Globes where she won Best Actress)

Sienna Miller (Factory Girl) wanted to wear a gown by another designer that she liked but was told by her management that because she was sitting with Weinstein and Chapman at the Golden Globes he would be very upset if she didn't wear Marchesa. She wore Marchesa.

● When hollywood stylist Rachel Zoe partnered with Weinstein to acquire the 70s label Halston her high profile clients (some of whom had Weinstein Company projects as well) like Anne Hathaway, Mischa Barton, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie etc were seen wearing Marchesa to various events.

● Harvey bragged to Vogue in 2013 about having Renée wear Marchesa to her Bridget Jones 2 premiere (which put the brand on the map) “Maybe I helped, but just very, very little, with Renée Zellweger”

● For over a decade many actresses who have had movies with Miramax/TWC were seen wearing Marchesa while promoting.

● Many insiders are speculating whether a brand built on hollywood actresses (many that felt obligated to wear Marchesa so they wouldn't upset a powerful man and risk their career) can now survive.
