Tom Hiddleston Gets A Massage in the Bath

Tom Hiddleston got a massage for his new movie role!

He plays an evil lord (damn, what a stretch) in Early Man, a stop-motion pic from the creators of Wallace and Grommet. In the film, his character gets unknowingly massaged by a pig while in the bathtub.

The director, Nick Park, got into the recording booth with him and massaged Hiddles's shoulders to get the right sound effects. He says, “It was a strange feeling, massaging Tom Hiddleston’s shoulders and thinking how many people would pay to do this.”

Hiddles says of his massage, "It was odd… more physical than I had expected."

Roundup: More Celebs Comment on the Harvey Weinstein Allegations

In addition to Meryl Streep's statement ealier today, a growing number of celebrities are speaking out on the allegations that Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed and abused women for decades.

Kate Winslet: "The way Harvey Weinstein has treated these vulnerable, talented young women is NOT the way women should ever EVER deem to be acceptable or commonplace in ANY workplace. I have no doubt that for these women this time has been, and continues to be extremely traumatic...His behaviour is without question disgraceful and appalling and very, very wrong. I had hoped that these kind of stories were just made up rumours, maybe we have all been naïve. And it makes me so angry. There must be ‘no tolerance’ of this degrading, vile treatment of women in ANY workplace anywhere in the world."

Glenn Close: 'I’m sitting here, deeply upset, acknowledging to myself that, yes, for many years, I have been aware of the vague rumors that Harvey Weinstein had a pattern of behaving inappropriately around women. Harvey has always been decent to me, but now that the rumors are being substantiated, I feel angry and darkly sad. I’m angry, not just at him and the conspiracy of silence around his actions, but also that the “casting couch” phenomenon, so to speak, is still a reality in our business and in the world: the horrible pressure, the awful expectation put on a woman when a powerful, egotistical, entitled bully expects sexual favors in exchange for a job."

Judi Dench: "Whilst there is no doubt that Harvey Weinstein has helped and championed my film career for the past 20 years, I was completely unaware of these offenses which are, of course, horrifying and I offer my sympathy to those who have suffered, and wholehearted support to those who have spoken out."

Chef Kate McAloon, who worked for Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin in 2014 before they separated, recently gave an interview on what some of the celeb couples she's cooked for eat.

On Goop and Chris:
"I had a brief from their assistants ... they eat nothing. They are very strict. They avoided any sugars, anything sweet, no dairy, just more vegetables. When I got there, I was trying to stick to the brief. And I realized as I started adding more ingredients in, they said, ‘Your food is getting better.' That's what happens when you eat more than grass."

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom:
"[Miranda and Orlando] both love my curries, light chicken or vegetarian curries with coconut, as well as quinoa, salmon and vegetables. I do a chicken salad with a lot of fresh herbs and chia puddings for breakfast."

Courtney Cox and David Arquette:

"They used to have lots of people over every Sunday. Sometimes it could be 15 people, sometimes it was 50. Whatever the number, she always lobbed it at me and I said ‘No problems'. There was the one time I grabbed the olive oil instead of the tequila to put in Courtney's margaritas, but otherwise things were pretty good."

Jeff Dahmer (Disney Channel’s Ross Lynch) is an awkward teenager struggling to make it through high school with a family life in ruins. He collects roadkill, fixates on a neighborhood jogger (Vincent Kartheiser, “Mad Men”), and copes with his unstable mother (Anne Heche) and well-intentioned father (Dallas Roberts). He begins to act out at school, and his goofball antics win over a group of band-nerds who form The Dahmer Fan Club, headed by Derf Backderf (Alex Wolff, Nickelodeon’s “The Naked Brothers Band”). But this camaraderie can’t mask his growing depravity. Approaching graduation, Jeff spirals further out of control, inching ever closer to madness.

I always wonder if my faves are specifically avoiding Allen or if they just haven't been asked. Good to know with Chastain it's a choice.

Ivana Trump says she is 'first lady,' talks family life before memoir release

- Ivana is promoting her new memoir coming out Tuesday, “Raising Trump,” and spoke out on life, family, etc.
- On Melania and the White House: "I [don't] really want to call him there, because Melania is there. And I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that, because I'm basically first Trump wife. OK? I'm first lady."
- A spokesperson for Melania responded: "Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the President. She loves living in Washington, D.C., and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books. There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex. Unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise."

- More on Melania: "I think for her to be in Washington must be terrible. It's better her than me. I would hate Washington."
- On Donald's tweets: "Sometimes I tell him to just, not to speak that much, and tweet are the tweets. I don't disagree with him because he has so much press against him, so if he says something his words are going to be twisted immediately. If he tweets, the whole world can really get his mind and what is his in mind, and he can tell it in his own words."
- Ivana takes full credit for raising their three kids
- On Donald's parenting: "It was only until they were about 18-years-old [that] he could communicate with them, because he could start to talk business with them. Before, he really didn't know what conversation to strike with the little kids."
- Ivana says Ronald Reagan wanted Donald to run, but because of their dramatic divorce, it wouldn't have been a good time for him to run
- On Donald's love for women: "I think that Donald supports the woman. He loves the woman. Always did. He definitely respected women."
- Ivana thinks both Ivanka and Jared could be president one day
- Donald didn't want his firstborn son to have his name, because he was afraid he could be "a loser"
- Donald also wanted Ivanka's name to be "Tiffany"
- Ivana ended up naming all of the kids: "So I said, 'This is going to be what it is. I carry my kid for nine months, and this is what's going to be."

John Oliver Destroys Your Racist Uncle’s Defense of the Confederate Flag

$

John Oliver introduces this segment by noting how when Jimmy Savile was exposed as a sexual predator, all monuments to him were torn down. He argues that since the Confederate states were fighting for slavery and all Confederate soldiers were traitors to the US, the monuments should also be removed. Many Americans believe the civil war was primarily fought over “states’ rights,” which I guess is true if you believe states should have the right to allow white people to own black people. He notes that many states’ declarations of secession explicitly mentioned slavery, including Mississippi’s which stated, “Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery.” Additionally, Confederate VP Alexander Stevens said in a speech that the “cornerstone [of the confederacy] rests upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man, that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition.”

As for the argument that taking down the statue erases history, John Oliver says monuments don’t exist to preserve history but to honor someone, that history belongs in books and museums. Furthermore, he notes that folks like Ben Affleck try to erase history too — he went on “Find Your Roots” and demanded they edit out the fact that his ancestors were slave owners. And besides that, most of the statues went up well after the Civil War was over. At one dedication of a confederate monument, a leader of the KKK spoke, making it clear that these were meant to be monuments to white supremacy.

At the end of the segment, John Oliver has a few recommendations for statues that could replace confederate monuments, including Bessie Coleman, the first black woman to hold a pilot license, and Robert Smalls, who commandeered a Confederate ship, loaded it with his crew and their families who were all enslaved, sailed to freedom, and later became a congressman who served 5 terms. Stephen Colbert also makes a surprise appearance.

Rose McGowan calls for the entire board of the Weinstein Company to resign

In 2016 McGowan revealed she had been raped by a movie executive which people speculated was Harvey Weinstein. Since the NYT revealed the decades worth of allegations against Weinstein's predatory behaviour McGowan hasn't officially confirmed it was he that raped her (probably do to a NDA related to a settlement), but she's been pretty openly supportive of the women coming forward. And she's not done yet, calling the entire board of directors complicit along with a few other high-profile actors and directors:

The men of Hollywood need to know they own no woman. The days of Entourage-like behavior and thinking is as dated as your largely bro nature.

I’m calling on the board to resign effective immediately, and for other men to stop other men when they are being disgusting.

She was also unimpressed that Kevin Smith, who credited Weinstein with funding the first 14 years of his career, felt "ashamed":

And she had this to say to Matt Damon:
