Freeform orders pilot for PLL spin-off starring Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish

Freeform has ordered a pilot for a Pretty Little Liars titled "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" based on the book by Sara Shepard.
Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish set to star and reprise their roles from the original.
Here's the logline: "Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi."
The original book had no link with Pretty Little Liars but they will be connected on TV.
I. Marlene King will be developing the show on Freeform.
Freeform (then ABC Family) already tried a supernatural spin-off from PLL titled "Ravenswood" but it was cancelled after a short 10 episode first season in 2014.

Star Trek Discovery - the reviews are in! Plus new Sonequa photoshoot and the cast takes a knee

The embargo has been lifted and the reviews are in!

The Daily Beast says Star Trek Discovery "honors sci-fi’s history while giving it a bold new future to stake claim in, making Star Trek essential television for the first time in decades".




The Nerdist says Michelle Yeoh's captain Georgiou is "ferociously likable, a born leader with a powerful moral compass who makes you wish for a mentor figure like her in your own life"




TV Line's (super spoilery, do not read if you've not watched) review says "it feels like Star Trek. That trademark blend of sci-fi action, starry-eyed optimism and high-minded philosophy? Discovery‘s got it."




Vulture says Discovery "stands tall alongside the best-regarded incarnations of the Trek franchise even as it raids elements from all of them".




Sonequa has done a GORGEOUS photoshoot for the CBS Watch magazine

The action romance is described as a modern-day take on Romeo And Juliet

The screenplay will update William Shakespeare's classic romantic tragedy against a backdrop of corporate espionage.

Wendy Williams' Husband Living Double Life with Mistress of 10 Years

  • Popular daytime talk show host Wendy Williams has more than bikini photos to worry about after photos of her husband Kevin Hunter and his alleged mistress of 10 years surface.

  • Cheating and abuse allegations have plagued the couples marriage for years but no real proof has surfaced until now.

  • Hunter's mistress of 10 years is a massage therapist named Sharina Hudson. Hunter was photographed with Hudson out on the town in Morristown, New Jersey only 36 hours after photos from his family vacation with Wendy to Barbados surfaced.

  • Hunter is said to be splitting time between his family----and a home 9 miles down the road he purchased for he and Hudson to live in together. Hunter bought the home in 2012 and added Hudson's name to the deed in 2015. They are both listed on public real estate records as residents of the home.

  • Hunter is said to be in love with both women but doesn't want to give either up for the other.

  • Photos also surfaced of Hudson wearing a large diamond ring on her engagment finger.

  • The UK based Daily Mail spent a year investigating Hunter and said he spends 3-4 nights a week with Hudson and then mozies home to Wendy sometimes after 1am. They tailed him for 5 months and took extensive notes and photos.

Despite earlier reports that Caitlyn Jenner found out about daughter Kylie's pregnancy through the rumor mill, she confirmed to The Sun that she was told about Kylie's pregnancy "some time ago."

-- The Sun claims they reached out to Caitlyn for a comment on having not been told about Kylie's pregnancy.

-- Caitlyn's rep told them "All I can tell you is that it was some time ago."

-- This is the first time any member of the family has confirmed the pregnancy.

Ain't It Cool News staff runs for the hills after founder's sexual assault allegations

After allegations of sexual assault were made against Ain't It Cool News founder Harry Knowles (yes, that's really what he looks like), writers for the site have begun resigning.

So far three writers -- Eric Vespe ("Quint"), Steve Prokopy ("Capone"), and the writer known as "Horrella" -- have left the site. Vespe has been with the site for over 20 years and wrote that he can no longer contribute to the brand. Prokopy stated his decision was an easy one to make and hope all the women impacted by Knowles are given the support and strengeth they need.

Austin-area film community member and former Alamo Drafthouse employee Jasmine Baker was the first to come forward, stating Knowles groped her several times. When she told Drafthouse CEO Tim League of what happened, League told her to avoid Knowles and left it at that.

Britt Hayes, writer for ScreenCrush, announced on Twitter on Saturday that she too has been sexually harrassed by Knowles and that people knew and did nothing, with some feeling powerless that Knowles was untouchable.

THR ends their story reporting that AICN, once grossing over $700,000 annually, is now only making money in the low-six figures (and will probably start making even less now).

- On body shaming says, "Not everybody has that kind of armor naturally. You put so much pressure on people that can't handle it. Having 2 daughters, it does disturb me. You have no idea the grave choices that people might make because of your words being so powerful."

-She talks about her book What Happened (obviously)
-Cracks a few jokes.
-Started thinking about writing the book on election night. Her primary goal is to make sure this doesn't happen again. Says it was "painful" and "horrible" writing the book and re-living the campaign.
-Says she isn't going anywhere (to consistent applause from the audience)
-She believes that Russia succeeded in messing with the US democracy, by influencing voters and influencing public opinion. Says Russian interference will continue through 2018 and 2020 if they're not stopped.
-Talks about her relationship with Putin when she was Secretary of State. Notes that the fact she was a woman got him agitated and shares an anecdote about how every time she met with him he would ~welcome her by manspreading. They did bond over wildlife conservation though, and that's when Vladimir Putin invited her husband to come and join him on one of his wildlife trips (but not her).





-She isn't talking about contesting the election, saying there is no mechanism for that. However she does stress that legitimacy is rooted in what comes out of the investigations on the Russian affair.
-Calls people to channel their frustration by taking a stand and voting.
-Slams Trump's rocket man comments about North Korea.
-Says she drank a lot of wine recovering from the election defeat which prompts Stephen to bring out a bottle of wine.



I'm still not over how one of the most qualified people to run for office lost against the least qualified person in America
