It remains to be seen if they are aware that (book spoilers) Pennywise is in fact female.

The View catches up with Candace and the Fuller House

Candace Cameron Bure returns to the View as a guest after leaving last year to focus full-time on the Netflix show Fuller House. She brings a long the cast of the show to talk about the upcoming third season which is due to be out on September 22 on the 30th anniversary as to when the Full House debuted on ABC.

- Sara Haines turns 40. Her hubby and baby Max appear on the show. She got to wear a tiara and a sash for the rest of the show.

ONTD ORIGINAL: YA Fiction Based on One Direction

There's an interesting trend showing up in YA Fiction right now: stories inspired by One Direction. Whether there are just light references sprinkled through out, or whether the published novel is literally just an AU fic from Wattpad with the names changed, it's interesting to see how the boy band is influencing the genre.



THE NOVEL: Public Relations by Katie Heaney and Arianna Rebolini

THE SYNOPSIS: Young PR star Rose Reed is thrown into the big leagues when her boss leaves town the day of the firm's meeting with Archie Fox, a young, hot, internationally famous British singer-songwriter. The meeting is going badly until Rose suggests a staged romance with up-and-coming, young indie star Raya. He'll do it, but only if Rose becomes his publicist.

As the faux-mance between Archie and Raya begins to rehabilitate Archie's faltering career, Rose finds his herself having unexpected, inconvenient and definitely unprofessional feelings for the crooner. But do late night texts and impromptu burrito binges mean he feels the same? In the end, Rose will have to decide whether to let her fantasy crush go, or to risk her reputation to be with the charming, handsome, scoundrel-y but sweet pop star she's grown to love.

THE NOVEL: Grace and the Fever by Zan Romanoff

THE NOVEL: Kill the Boy Band by Goldy Moldavsky

THE SYNOPSIS: Okay, so just know from the start that it wasn't supposed to go like this. All we wanted was to get near The Ruperts, our favorite boy band.
We didn't mean to kidnap one of the guys. It kind of, sort of happened that way. But now he's tied up in our hotel room. And the worst part of all, it's Rupert P. All four members of The Ruperts might have the same first name, but they couldn't be more different. And Rupert P. is the biggest flop out of the whole group.
We didn't mean to hold hostage a member of The Ruperts, I swear. At least, I didn't. We are fans. Okay, superfans who spend all of our free time tweeting about the boys and updating our fan tumblrs. But so what, that's what you do when you love a group so much it hurts.
How did it get this far? Who knows. I mean midterms are coming up. I really do not have time to go to hell.

WHO IT'S BASED ON: A bit more nebulous, but leaning towards Louis since it's the flop member. Alternatively, some have argued this one is actually about 5 Seconds of Summer.



THE NOVEL: The After Series by Anna Todd

THE SYNOPSIS: There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER... Life will never be the same. #Hessa

Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way. WHO IT'S BASED ON: Hardin = Harry, but all of the 1D boys make apperances. This was actually a Wattpad fanfic that was originally published as a 1D/50 Shades of Grey style AU mash up where Harry is basically a shitty abusive dude but for some reason this meek college girl is into it!!! Anna Todd turned the fic into a trilogy, and I think there's even a prequel now.

Jedidiah Bila fired from The View Over Hillary Clinton Interview?

  • According to a report from Page Six, Jedidiah Bila was fired from The View over the Hillary Clinton interview that took place last Wednesday, September 13th, on the show.

  • Producers were apparently upset that Jedidiah asked Hillary a question that was on her 'do not ask' list.

  • The question at hand was "Don't you think we should move forward and not continue to dwell on the past?" and the inference that Hillary even writing/releasing this book was continuing to cause a riff in the Democratic party.

  • Jed's reps insist this isn't true and that she's leaving to pursue other things, including writing a book and getting married.

  • A source inside The View says even though Jed signed another year deal with the show, tensions have been mounting for some time behind the scenes that she found uncomfortable. She also found being the only conservative on the panel to be tough because her views were being drowned out by the other 4 women who are liberals.

  • The same source Jed was approached to have her own show where "she could share the only worldview that matters: the conservative one".

The alleged video that Kevin Hart was hoping would never see the light of day has made its way to the internet today. (If you haven't been keeping up, catch up with this post and this one)

The (again, alleged) video (has since been taken down but what goes on the internet, is there FOREVER if you catch my drift) shows images of Kevin Hart with another woman in bed, while audio of him talking about why he doesn't cheat on his wife plays in the background. It then cuts to some very loud breathing and moaning and the sound of some ferocious cheek smashing and a bed rocking. You can't see anyone in this part. This is followed by another short clip showing someone who looks to be Hart walking around a hotel room.

Top Celebrity Music Feuds of All Time

Before Katy and Taylor or Remy and Nicki, there was Biggie and Tupac, J.Lo and Mariah, Prince and Michael, etc. Rolling Stone decided to look back on the 30 biggest celebrity feuds in music history, and here are some of the highlights:
1) Lady Gaga vs. Madonna

What Happened: Gaga had comparisons to Madonna since the start of her career, but the feud peaked in 2011 when Madonna called Gaga's music "reductive" after the release of "Born This Way" which many thought sounded a lot like "Express Yourself". Gaga insisted that the only similarities are the chord progression.
How Did It End: Gaga went on Howard Stern and said, "There's this thing with some people that I'm a threat to the throne. And I don't want your fucking throne and no thanks. And I have my own and I don't actually want a throne at all." Madonna agreed by declaring, "We live in a world where people like to pit women against each other."

2)Noel Gallagher vs. Liam Gallagher

What Happened: Amongst other things leading up to it, the breaking point for the brothers was in August of 2009 at a Paris concert when Noel said that Liam was violent in the backstage area with a guitar. The next day Noel announced his departure from Oasis.
How Did It End: It hasn't, and the brothers' most recent conflict was at the One Love Manchester show which Noel refused to attend-- causing Liam to tweet him "Get on a fucking plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad fuck."

3) John Lennon vs. Paul McCartney

What Happened: The original Zayn and Harry! When McCartney tried to break away from the band, Lennon took to Rolling Stone to put him in his place. The two then released music shading each other with songs like "Too Many People" and "How Do You Sleep?"
How Did It End: The two appeared to have no bad blood in the 70s considering they would visit each other in New York, and seemed to be in a good place concluding with Lennon's death in 1980.

4) Lil Kim vs. Foxy Brown

What Happened: The origins in the feud probably lead to the fact they were both from the same town, high school, etc. and constantly being compared when they broke into the mainstream. Former editor at The Source, Kim Osorio, says that she thinks it all started when "one had borrowed the outfit from the other and that led to them not speaking."
How Did It End: Fabolous tried to get them to put it in the past by reuniting them at Hot 97's Summer Jam, but it did not end up happening. Foxy later said,"Let's just say that it wasn't orchestrated properly ... I understand the epic-ness of those two huge ... the biggest female rappers in the game to come together and touch mics is phenomenal ... but somewhere along the way, some part of that has to feel real."

5) Taylor Swift and Kanye West

What Happened: Which is more iconic: "Imma let you finish" or "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative". It all started back at the 2009 VMA's when Kanye interrupted Taylor when she was accepting her award for Best Female Video because he thought Beyoncé deserved it over Taylor. US media went into shock with even President Obama calling him a jackass.
How Did It End: The two ended up putting it behind them back in 2015, and Taylor even presented Kanye with the Video Vanguard Award at the VMA's. Then, Kanye released "Famous" which Taylor acted like she didn't know about until Kim released footage of him clearing it with her. Swift then shared that he never said the word "bitch" in the phone call which is the part she took issue with. Then, she released "Look What You Made Me Do" which references how her feud with Kanye is still alive and well.

X Atencio Passed Away Last Week and No One Noticed

On September 10th at his home, aged 98.

Xavier "X" Atencio was a former animator who worked on Pinocchio and Fantasia that eventually moved on to become an Imagineer. Hugely influential to the conception of both Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion, he wrote the lyrics to Yo Ho (A Pirates' Life for Me) and Grim Grinning Ghosts, as well as the overall scripts for each ride. He came up with the usage of the Pepper's Ghost effect in The Haunted Mansion. It's his voice you hear emanating from the coffin in the Haunted Mansion, as well as the pre-recorded spiel that plays when the ride halts temporarily. He retired from the company in 1984 and was named a Disney Legend in 1996.

I once won a giveaway by knowing his name and have used it for years as my own personal "Rusty Shackleford" when I don't feel like putting my real name down on something. RIP sir.

Bella Hadid Confronts Her Bodyguard For Pushing a Female Pap

Bella Hadid was being a sweetheart and kept her overzealous bodyguard in check recently when he started pushing people out of her way, at which point she stepped in and told him not to touch one tiny female pap.

It starts at 1:38 of the video.

She then asked the pap if she was okay.

The bodyguard asked Bella if she knew who the woman was and Bella was like no.

3LW — aka the Cheetah Girls minus Raven — had a song back in the day called "Playas Gon Play". The chorus: "Playas, they gonna play, and hatas, they gonna hate." Sound familiar? That chorus was later reworked into Taylor Swift's smash "Shake It Off." Taylor is now being sued by the original songwriters, who claim that 20% of "Shake It Off" is derivative of their song.

In her book, Hillary Clinton wrote about Kate McKinnon's touching post-election SNL performance.

The former First Lady wrote that she fought back tears while watching Kate McKinnon's tribute to her.
