Mexican pop singer Alex Syntek says "reggaeton comes from apes"

In an interview promoting his latest album, Alex Syntek spends 3.5 minutes shitting on reggaeton and blathering on and on about reggaeton artists'"plucked eyebrows and jewelry".

The whole rant was very "those thugs and their baggy jeans"

He later issued an apology via Twitter:
I admit I made a mistake in the way I spoke. I respect everyone who listens to reggaeton or does it for a living. It isn’t a genre I’m particularly attracted to, but I reaffirm my commitment to musical diversity and respect for everyone’s taste.

For those who don't know, reggaeton is a Latino musical genre which originated in the Afro-Panamanian community in Panama and made popular by artists like El General. In the 90s, it experienced a boom once it made its way to Puerto Rico and was further popularized throughout the world by mixtapes like The Noise series and artists like Baby Rasta y Gringo, Ivy Queen, Daddy Yankee and others. The genre is heavily influenced by Jamaican reggae and dancehall and is now dominated by Dominican and Puerto Rican artists.

Celebs react to report that Trump plans to end DACA

Background: DACA is a program created by then President Obama that protects young people—who were brought to the US as kids without papers—from being deported. Nearly 1 million have signed up for it. Politico reports that Trump will end the program in 6 months. At that point, all the people who signed up for DACA will be in grave danger of being deported—they're already registered with the government—back to countries where they will be total strangers. FYI, you'll often hear DACA-recipients referred to as DREAMers, that refers to the DREAM act, a proposed law that would grant all DACA-eligible people a pathway to citizenship.

Over the years, many shows have made references and jokes about the classic show. And there are many shows which have taken visual cues and the surreal nature for their own. But below are some of the more humorous ones.

1. WWE Smackdown - Fashion Peaks

Wrestler Tyler Breeze tries to find his missing partner, "Deputy Dango", who might have been taken by aliens. This one gets kudos for being one of the more recent shows that's also referencing the new episodes







2. Psych - Dual Spires

Now this one is truly a labor of love. Actor James Roday had been pushing for a Twin Peaks reboot and finally got his wish in season 5 with help from guest director Matt Shakman.

Shawn and Gus go to solve a mystery in the town of Dual Spires, which is very proud of its cinnamon production and apple cider. Many of the original cast of Twin Peaks makes an appearance in this episode, there are hundreds of references throughout (supposedly around 724), and Julee Cruise sang the episode's theme song.

This is just a behind the scenes type video into what went into making the episode




3. Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated - Stand and Deliver

The titular Scooby Doo has a dream where he goes to the "Sitting Room" and discovers secrets about himself (aka why he can talk) and what lays beneath the town of Crystal Cove. Later on, the whole gang travels with Scooby to face the lodge with varying courage, and it's actually relevant to the rest of the series



4. Deadly Premonition

Basically Twin Peaks the Video Game. Evolving from a cancelled video game originally titled Rainy Woods, Deadly Premonition focuses on Francis York Morgan, an FBI agent investigating the murder of a young girl in Greenvale, Washington with the cooperation of local law enforcement and some quirky characters. The whole time Agent Morgan talks to someone off-screen named "Zack" while he pursues the mysterious Raincoat Killer.



5. Saturday Night Live sketch w/host Kyle Maclachlan

In this parody, Leo (Chris Farley) confesses to the murder of Laura Palmer, but Agent Dale Cooper desperately wants the case to remain open. Features Kevin Nealon as Sheriff Truman, Conan O'Brien as Andy, Phil Hartman as Leland Palmer, and Mike Meyers as the Man From Another Place. And apparently they only had two women on the cast at this time

Mozart in the jungle season4 filming in Japan .According to Masi Oka's instagram post, Japanese actress Mieko Harada(Lady Kaede from Ran by Akira Kurosawa)will appear in Japan episodes of this season .
They were filming in Shinjyuku Shinagawa ,Saitama so far . They will film in Sapporo Hokkaido too .

I have only watched season 1 ,2 . This show should treat asian american better .Sharon is terrible character .Also They are kind of majority in the orchestra but they are all back ground .

This show reminds me of Nodame Cantabile anyone remember ?

Aspiring country superstarShawn Mendes' sexuality is once again the talk of the internet. Apparently, someone (probably fka lbr tbh) doctored what appeared to be a tweet in which Mendes' official Twitter account announced the singer is "gay" and "proud."



The fake image shook Mendes' fans on Twitter, with #ShawnComingOut trending for a while. The talk in the hashtag turned to protecting the singer and his privacy, after his his loyal subjects realized the image was a forgery.

Y'all may recall Mendes proudly proclaimed that he is "NOT GAY" on Snapchat in July 2016.
