Legendary band Brand New debuted at #1 with their latest and likely final release Science Fiction, a record they didn't promote or have a single for. They sold 58,000 with 55,000 being traditional albums in a week.


This is also the first independently distributed album to hit number 1 this year and only the third rock album to lead the chart this year.

Calvin Harris attended the VMA's last night and was in the audience for the World Premiere of Swift's latest music video for "Look What You Made Me Do." The two dated for 15 months and broke up in June 2016. Harris did not clap or react much to the clip while in the audience. In the music video a tombstone next to Swift has the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg which Swift used in the writing credits for "This Is What You Came For" as to not overshadow the song with the two's relationship at the time. Calvin took no VMA's last night and even lost out to his ex in "Best Collaboration" with Taylor Swift and Zayn's "I Don't Want to Live Forever" taking the win over his clip with Katy Perry & Pharrell for "Feels." Production for season 8 is set to begin in October, and given the episode lengths+production value+locations+CGI, filming may not finish until AUGUST 2018, sources tell THR.

And so, as the head of HBO Casey Bloys said, the final season (six episodes, all rumored to be around 90-minutes minimum each), may not be back until early 2019 (this is not news, but just as a fun reminder).

HBO would neither confirm nor deny the 16-month gap between the final two seasons, but it's safe to say there's some truth to it.

Not content with portraying fictional Games of Thrones, this Autumn Kit Harington will portray Robert Catesby in new BBC three-part drama 'Gunpowder'.

Although not as iconic as co-conspirator Guy Fawkes, Catesby was the ringleader of the gang who attempted to assassinate King James in what became known as the Gunpowder Plot.
