Rainbow is out TODAY in Japan, which means the obligatory Japanese bonus track has been released! Check out a preview, courtesy of KeshaTODAY (the Kesha fan account that started #freekesha, and that has been dragged into the Dr. Puke v. Kesha legal battle)

Kesha shared a video on her official youtube account, where she discusses the influences for Rainbow. For those too lazy to hit play (big mistake, because she is looking gorgeous in the video!) she says that the following legends inspire her: The Beach Boys, T. Rex, Iggy Pop, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings.

She also walked through each track on Rainbow with NPR, talking about her influences on each song.


In case you missed it, Kesha has reuploaded her recent performance of Praying on Jimmy Fallon on her own Vevo page. Now you can enjoy the excellent performance without having to give views to a Trump normalizing, interview interrupter!

Chart/Promo Updates
Billboard has doubled down on HDD's prediction that Kesha will debut at #1 on the Billboard 200! This is great news, and will hopefully make it easier to have creative control for her remaining two albums with Kemosabe (The flop label founded by Dr. Luke)



As she now has a chart topping album for the first time since her debut in 2010, it makes sense that she (and her flawless yabos) is on the cover of the newest Hits Daily Double Magazine!

Lea Michelle took time to stan Rainbow, and let the world know that Rachel Barry would have sang Praying on Glee (probably to Sue or something, idk)


Elton John added Praying to his Rocket Hour playlist on Beats 1, a clear example of a legend recognizing a legend in the making!

  • Rumors about a collaboration between Little Mix and CNCO started after Leigh-Anne tweeted about liking the boyband's hit Reggaetón Lento a few weeks ago.

  • Last week, a Mexican radio station confirmed on air that the collaboration was happening, and then more radio stations from different Latin American countries started spreading the news.

  • Reggaetón Lento (Remix) is coming out this Friday, August 18th.

And while it peaked in 2011 with 10.5 million viewers over two nights for Kim's fairy-tale wedding to Kris Humphries (they divorced after 72 days), it still averages north of 2.1 million every Sunday in its 13th season. In 2015, E! agreed to a reported $80 million deal to keep the family through season 14. Executive Producer Ryan Seacrest says, "We pitched it to E!, and initially they passed. I called Ted and said, "This is a special show, and I want you to know we brought it to you [first]." I was going to take it to Bravo". To no surprise Caitlyn Jenner claims in her memoir she was the brains behind the show.

Zayn Malik talks his new album, religion and more in VMan Magazine, issue 38 Fall/Winter 2017.

On using Urdu in his new album: “I definitely focused on that for a couple of songs on this record that got this same underlying tone of India and the place that my grandparents originally came from. There’s definitely influences of that in there. Hopefully people like it this time around, as well.”

On his faith:“My faith is between me and God, and whatever that God is, that’s between me and them. That’s where I draw the line: the specifics. I am a spiritual person and I do believe that everything happens for a reason, so I do have faith in something. I just don’t wish to specify what that is. I don’t want anybody to feel like I’m trying to dictate or wave my opinion on anything. I’m just doing what I’m doing. My religion, or whatever that is, is between me and God, and that’s just how I want to keep it.”

On anxiety:“When people don’t always fit that grain, it’s very confusing for the public eye that’s watching because they don’t understand the full ins-and-outs of every emotion that that individual is going through. I think the anxiety comes from the frustration of not being able to explain that to people. Since I explained that I have anxiety, I’ve diminished it because I dealt with what was giving me anxiety: feeling the need to uphold all of these fucking pressures and these things that people want from you. Once you let that go, the anxiety diminishes. It doesn’t really exist anymore because you only care about what it is that you want to give to people. Whether they perceive that in the right or wrong way is ultimately not your choice. It’s out of your control. You can’t always control it, and you just accept that. With that goes the anxiety. Anxiety comes from not being able to control every aspect.”

What if he hadn't done X Factor?: I think about that quite a lot. I think about alternative realities. I think I’d be at university and I would have done my English degree. I think I’d be looking for some employment to do with English lecturing or literature. I love poetry and writing—obviously, I’m a songwriter—so, it would’ve been something that would still give me the feeling of a creative outlet within my writing.”

She makes $50,000 to $60,000 for acting in an episode before taxes and paying her reps.
While in production she is not spending a lot of money because the food is free and she doesn't have time to shop.
She recently signed a book deal that gave her a fantastic advance.
The studio and network mostly cover her hair and makeup for events, but they don't cover costs for certain things she has to go to, and that runs about $800 a gig.
When she has to go to these events, it's getting harder and harder for her to find clothes without buying them because of her body size.
Fashion houses are reluctant to lend clothes that aren't in the sample sizes of 0 and 2.
Nice designer dresses can range from $500 to $3,000 and she has to wear a different outfit for every event.

- Talks about his horrible audition for Slumdog Millionaire, pushed director Danny Boyle up against a wall, thought he did great (he did not)
- Started sneaking into Queens College while filming The Night Of, for research and to help improve his accents
- Started hanging out with people in classes, used Nas as his name, got invited to parties and even gave his number out




- His band's name, Swet Shop Boys, is named that way because bandmate Heems thought it would look good on t-shirts with 4 letters on each line (haven't made shirts yet though)
- His first concert was Michael Jackson at the age of 8, his dad managed to get 1 for him, just him
- Riz's dad hands him off to the first family his dad sees and tells them to take care of him
- Talks about reaching out to Lin-Manuel Miranda about how awesome Hamilton: An American Musical was, and in turn Lin-Manuel went through his discography and fangirled back, which is basically how Riz ended up on the mixtape



- People recognize him on the street a lot, but they don't know what they recognize him from. They just stare at him confusedly and ask if they know him from somewhere; Riz trolls them sometimes
- Talks about getting "randomly selected" for searches at the airport and how the TSA agents recognize him and ask for selfies
- Talks about The Ahmed Three" aka the time when he was at an airport and they called for "Mr. Ahmed" and 3 different dudes including him showed up
- Riz took a photo with the other Ahmeds and it went viral to the point of fan art being created about this fake band; jokes first single will be "Randomly Searching for You"

-Some "strange things" happened to Jace whilst he was temporarily dead, but not afterlife things.
-'Sebastian Verlac' is dead, but they don't want to 'spoil' next season’s plot re: the "destiny of Jonathan Morgenstern" for fans who haven’t read the wiki.
-Lilith (who we saw at the end) is confirmed as Season 3’s Big Bad.
-Clary going postal on Valentine with that knife was a sign of a 'darker Clary' in her "ferociousness and her relentlessness at killing him [...] Clary will never be the same after this." Basically, sis isn't going back to Art School.
-Unsure if Sarah Hyland is sticking around as the Seelie Queen – depends on the Modern Family shooting schedule.
-MALEC ARE OFFICIALLY BACK TOGETHER! (duh) "And better than ever!" Todd says "we're exploring the intimacy and domesticity and pushing that relationship further along with added complications".
-Izzy will be moving forward into Season 3 with her troubles behind her, and a new appreciation for the Mundanes thanks to AA meetings etc.




-Valentine killing Jace was her breaking point, and the last thing he could take from her, "you see her break [...] you see her go into almost a blind rage."
-When they filmed Clary didn’t stab Valentine that many times, it was edited in post to drive home the point, "she has taken that step, she is a Shadowhunter now".
-On the Morgernsterness within her being Valentine's undoing: "It’s that fierceness and that feral nature that Valentine and Jonathan both have that comes out of her for the first time, and I think it even scares Valentine a little bit".

-Kat wrote her first original single 'Ember' right after they finished shooting Season 1, partially inspired by the characters, but also by things happening in her own life: "we all have moments in life when we doubt who we are because of someone or something that’s happened to us, but despite all of that, there’s a little ember of hope that always is within each one of us — there’s a spark in the ashes that’s ready to reignite at any moment and that moment is what the song is about".
-'Ember' played over the party scene at the end.

Third Woman Comes Forward Alleging Roman Polanski Sexually Abused Her

  • A woman identified only as Robin M. has come forward stating that she was sexually abused as a minor by director Roman "Needs to Be Pushed Down a Long Flight of Stairs" Polanski

  • The woman says that the sexual abuse occured in 1973, when she was sixteen. She did not tell her parents or police, but did tell a friend after it happened.

  • This comes after Samantha Geimer - the woman who Polanski raped in the '70s when she was thirteen, and who was subjected to a smear campaign by Hollywood while she was still a teenager - asked that the case be dropped soon. Robin M. wishes to let the world know that Polanski had abused other underage girls.

  • This is the third time Polanski has been named in charges of sex abuse. In 2010, Charlotte Lewis claimed that she was sexually abused by Polanski during the filming of the movie Pirates, when she was sixteen.
