Taylor Swift Trial: Day 2 Recap

As reported yesterday, Taylor is countersuing Colorado DJ David Mueller for grabbing her on the ass during a meet and greet during the Red Tour in 2013. Swift reported the incident to her management which led to Mueller being fired from his job at local radio station KYGO. He then sued Swift, her mother Andrea Swift and her radio promotions director Frank Bell, claiming that the assault allegations are false which led to her countersuit. She is countersuing for $1 while he is suing her for $3 million in damages.
Updates:
- A jury was selected with 2 men and 6 women being chosen.
- Mueller was called as the first witness before court broke for lunch. He claimed his right hand, in a closed fist with the palm down, came into contact with part of her body and he "felt what seemed to be a rib cage or ribs."
- Swift then waited until her young fans were out of the meet and greet area to report the assault to her management because she didn't want to upset them. Mueller was then approached by a security guard who accused him of inappropriately grabbing Swift, and asked him to leave the concert.
- He said he was "embarrassed to be in a line with moms and kids ahead of 2013 Taylor meet" and that "Taylor was cold and stand-offish at their 2013 meet and greet".
- Swift’s attorney, J. Douglas Baldridge, said during opening statements that Mueller has changed his story about the incident several times and had destroyed evidence in the case leading up to trial. He claimed Mueller's "motivation is money, calling attention to himself, and getting revenge on his boss."
- Swift's mother, Andrea Swift, became emotional in court, crying as opening statements got underway, causing Taylor to often look her way, swallow hard or whisper to her lawyer.

As you may or may not know, I'm one of the hairiest teenage girls. I go by "Kiwalla Beastella" or "Bella the Mammal," which I prefer because, I mean, we are all just mammals, aren't we? Body hair is always hit or miss for a person. While I never viewed it as gross, I didn't really love it either. But I never understood the weirdness surrounding it.
Guys feel more manly when they have body hair, right? So what's the problem with a woman wanting to feel more manly (or, in my case, just lazy AF)? Because I have a vagina, I have to be feminine all the time? Excuse me, but no. Whether I'm a tomboy or a rebel, I'm comfortable with it, so why shouldn't you be? If you really want my legs and armpits shaved so badly, you can do it yourself. Wait, I take that back: I'll shave my own armpits if need be because I don't trust any of you city slickers next to my precious axilla!
As much as I see myself and other girls get hate for having body hair. God forbid I'm not all waxed and oiled up AT ALL TIMES. But you guys want to know something kind of awesome (well, at least I think it's kind of awesome)? When you Google "armpit," it comes up with a photo of a lightly hairy armpit on a GIRL. Hell yes.
In closing, you may think of an armpit as gross and sweaty and smelly. And yes, all those things are true, but it's also true that sweating keeps your body's core temperature down. Boom! Homeostasis. And the smelling ... well, I'm trying to look for a good upside, and the only one I can come up with is pheromones. What can I say? It's always mating season when you have a brush under your pit.

Leah Remini's A&E docuseries Scientology and The Aftermath won a Television Critics Association award for outstanding reality programming. When Leah and the rest of the crew (most former Scientologists) went up to receive the award, Elisabeth Moss, the star of the Handmaid's Tale, walked out of the room.
Moss, a Scientologist since birth, would not be allowed to listen to anything Leah, a suppressive person (an enemy of Scientology) would say.
