OKJA officially releases today on NETFLIX at 8AM PDT! Here is the Official Trailer again =)


For 10 idyllic years, young Mija has been caretaker and constant companion to Okja - a massive animal and an even bigger friend - at her home in the mountains of South Korea. But that changes when family-owned, multinational conglomerate Mirando Corporation takes Okja for themselves and transports her to New York, where an image-obsessed and self-promoting CEO has big plans for Mija's dearest friend. With no particular plan but single-minded in intent, Mija sets out on a rescue mission.


From director Bong Joon-Ho (The Host, Snowpiercer) and starring An Seo Hyun, Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano, Steven Yeun, Lily Collins, Devon Bostick, Giancarlo Esposito and Jake Gyllenhaal.


The Animal Liberation Front vows to take down the Mirando Corporation.

During his "concert" in Frankfurt, Germany,  JB took his Yeezy shoes off while being on stage, and then threw them to the crowd because why the fuck not, throwing shoes at people you dont really like, who btw paid loads of money to see your shitty performance, is the new cool



TMZ reports that "Justin’s right Yeezy is currently listed on eBay for a minimum bid of 5000 euros, or approximately $5,700". The left one is now an instagram star (yes, seriously).

Kourtney Kardashian Shares Detox Diet

- on her app she talks about her diet and how she keeps her body in ketosis: "My doctor said one of the fastest ways to detox metals is to try to keep my body in a state of ketosis, which occurs when the glycogen in your liver is depleted and the body burns fatty acids for energy. To do this, I stick to a low-carb diet, with high proteins and healthy fats, and I eat 3 meals a day—with no snacking in between." Emphasises consulting with a physician first before going on a detox
- when detoxing she avoids eating 14-16 hrs after dinner, and does a 24 hour fast once a week

Bella Hadid did an interview for her August cover of InStyle.

She's extremely busy:
“At the end of the day, I think working this much is going to give me a better platform to do bigger things in the world,” she says. “I’m not saying I don’t love my job, but people think modeling is just a bullsh— thing to become more famous. I was 100 percent independent by the time I was 18, and I paid for my own apartment. That wasn’t because of my parents. I worked my ass off for two years.”

Her ex-stepfather is David Foster and he used his home as his studio so there were always celebrities like Whitney Houston or Gwen Stefani around as she was growing up:
“It made me feel really lucky to see that side of celebrity before. I mean, not that I’m a celebrity. That’s so weird. I don’t even want to say that.”

Her dream was to be an Olympic equestrian rider until she got Lyme disease:
“At the time I didn’t know about Lyme or what I was really diagnosed with. I thought going out and being with my friends would make me feel better, but it didn’t.”

She's feeling better now that she takes 30 pills a day and administers two shots to herself daily.

Fame has been an interesting experience for her
“I learn new things about myself every day because of the stories that are put out about me. They’ll say that I had a conversation with someone I’ve never even met before. Or people will judge me for things I can’t change. Imagine that somebody is telling you that you’re a piece of sh— every day on social media. You kind of feel like, ‘Well, am I a piece of s—?’ You don’t really know.”

She sometimes wants to “go to the house of that random person from Twitter who is in Missouri and tell them, ‘I promise, I’m a nice person! We could be friends! It doesn’t have to be like this!’ But it’s a very strange world.”

Bella was the only model to issue an apology after the Fyre Festival incident and says she takes a lot more precautions on her social media now:
“Now I tag everything as an ad.”

Social media isn't all bad. It helped her meet Kendall Jenner:
“I met her for the first time seven years ago over Twitter,” says Hadid. “That was before we started modeling; I was probably 14 or 15. We met up and had sushi, and now we’re best friends. She’s a pretty significant human I met online.”

She may get into acting:
“People think that I don’t smile and I’m super cold. With acting you can show more of who you are. I would have to get a hold of my ADD, but otherwise I think it would be fun.”

ONTD Original: D23 Expo expectations

Yesterday, Disney released the full schedule for its D23 Expo, a little under 2 weeks away from the date it's set to start.
I made you guys this handy post so you have an idea of what's coming and what fans over the internet are hoping will happen.


Friday July 14th
Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios
We're likely to hear more about the Wreck it Ralph sequel, probably some more Coco promo. If we're lucky, we may be blessed with Brad Bird and that sequel he never really meant to do until recently, aka Incredibles 2.

Saturday July 15th
Disney Live Action
This is the big one for film. Lucasfilm and MCU are getting their announcements in this one. Speculation is that a trailer for Infinity War may be released here. Any adjustments made to the MCU timeline will definitely be here as well, and if Marvel is ready to announce the name of the final Avengers, it'll be here.
Because MCU is also coming to Comic Con, Marvel will definitely hold on to some footage or an announcement for the CC crowd, but Disney has been trying to keep most of the juicy stuff on D23 to boost the Expo's value.

Star Wars info will be lit because due to the recent shakeups with the Han Solo film, we're not likely to hear much from this film.... Unless they want to push it back (cancel it!). So maybe, we'll get a new Last Jedi trailer to make up for the lack of info.
If Disney doesn't announce that Obi Wan film featuring Ewan "best part of the prequels" McGregor here, it probably will not happen. Ever. At all.

Wishful thinking but, wouldn't it be nice for Kathleen Kennedy to announce that they're releasing the original Star Wars on bluray? Earlier this year, Disney seemed to be in talks with some people because Rogue One director Gareth Edwards made some side comments about how he had seen a restored version of A New Hope... But this isn't likely to happen because Disney doesn't want money.

This panel will also have the deets on the new live action adaptations so maybe we'll be subjected to concept stuff from Little Mermaid or Lion King (pls no), but most probably some footage of Mary Poppins! And perhaps some Mulan casting announcements also.


Parks & Resorts
EPCOT WILL LIVE!
Fans have long speculated that announcements about Epcot will be at D23, including a new attraction coming to the France pavilion and whatever Guardians of the Galaxy presence will replace the current Ellen attraction at the Energy pavilion.
There may also be announcements around further Marvel presence at Disneyland's California Adventure. If fans are really lucky (and Park fans never are), we'll also get a look at the WDW 50th anniversary celebration plans.

What will definitely happen is a further look into the Star Wars expansions at both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios because the pavilion for the Parks & Resorts division at the show floor is called "A Galaxy of Stories".

Another thing that may happen almost fur sure, is that Disney will announce whatever changes they're making to the Great Movie Ride. The TCM sponsorship of the ride is expiring and Disney may revamp the ride into a Mickey Mouse adventure. Disney will also possibly reveal details of the new gondola transportation system, especially since that's been reported by everyone and their mom with a Disney parks blog.

Why cat films are better than dog films

Dog films, like dogs, tend to be soppy, samey and obsessed with loyalty to a ludicrous extent. They include 50s tear-jerker Old Yeller (1957), 00s tear-jerker Marley & Me (2008), and all the tear-jerking Lassie films that ever were. Cat films, on the other hand, are like cats: elegant, philosophical and irreverent. They include the jazzy, design-influencing Disney animation The Aristocats (1970), enchanting Studio Ghibli classic The Cat Returns (2002) and several oddball horror films riffing on the Edgar Allan Poe story The Black Cat.

Vulture chooses correctly and names Doctor Doom the greatest supervillain

The gang at Vulture is spending the week talking about villains! They started the week by proclaiming Michelle Pfeiffer's iconic performance as Catwoman to be the greatest portrayal of a superhero villain on film (true!) and they're back to making another bold (and true) claim: Marvel's Doctor Doom is the greatest supervillain ever created.

The basic summary:
-- He rules his own country, is a genius in science and magic, has a major inferiority complex and is elegant as fuck. His nobility is unmatched by any other character. Is the only villain who can call themselves "the good guy" and sound believeable doing so.
-- When written well he is one of the most all-around compelling characters to read. Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic Four and Avengers run cemented that fact.
-- Even now, when trying to be good, it's totally believable he would want to do so as everything he does he thinks is virtuous.
-- Because he himself put it best in the pages of New Avengers: "Doom is no man's second choice."

Article writer hates that most casual superhero fans (ie: movie watchers only) aren't basking in the glory of Doom thanks to being in bad films that never give him the time to shine. Time for Disney to step it up.
