In "Who Asked for This?" News - Johnny Depp Stars in Japanese Beer Commercial

Perhaps a follow up to this post about his missing millions...

I saw this commercial the other day. It's for Asahi Super Dry Beer featuring Japanese rocker/actor Masaharu Fukuyama and Johnny Depp.


It was filmed in LA and is apparently the first time that Depp has appeared in a commercial for a Japanese company.

Japanese fans have nothing but positive things about the collaboration, but I'm waiting to read y'alls comments. Don't disappoint me, ONTD.

Bill Skarsgård says he made child extras cry on the set of 'It'

Pennywise actor Bill Skarsgård revealed the following in an interview.

'It's a really weird thing to go, "If I succeed at doing what I'm trying to do with this character, I'll traumatize kids." On set, I wasn't very friendly or goofy. I tried to maintain some sort of weirdness about the character, at least when I was in all the makeup. At one point, they set up this entire scene, and these kids come in, and none of them have seen me yet. Their parents have brought them in, these little extras, right? And then I come out as Pennywise, and these kids—young, normal kids—I saw the reaction that they had. Some of them were really intrigued, but some couldn't look at me, and some were shaking. This one kid started crying. He started to cry and the director yelled, "Action!" And when they say "action," I am completely in character. So some of these kids got terrified and started to cry in the middle of the take, and then I realized, "Holy shit. What am I doing? What is this? This is horrible..." But then we cut, and obviously I was all, "Hey, I'm sorry. This is pretend."'

  • Marty Adelstein’s Tomorrow Studios is partnering with Midnight Radio to produce Cowboy Bebop for television with the blessing of Sunrise.

  • No news about casting or production has been announced as of yet.


In the year 2071, humanity has colonized several of the planets and moons of the solar system leaving the now uninhabitable surface of planet Earth behind. The Inter Solar System Police attempts to keep peace in the galaxy, aided in part by outlaw bounty hunters, referred to as "Cowboys". The ragtag team aboard the spaceship Bebop are two such individuals.

Mellow and carefree Spike Spiegel is balanced by his boisterous, pragmatic partner Jet Black as the pair makes a living chasing bounties and collecting rewards. Thrown off course by the addition of new members that they meet in their travels—Ein, a genetically engineered, highly intelligent Welsh Corgi; femme fatale Faye Valentine, an enigmatic trickster with memory loss; and the strange computer whiz kid Edward Wong—the crew embarks on thrilling adventures that unravel each member's dark and mysterious past little by little.


Well-balanced with high-density action and light-hearted comedy, Cowboy Bebop is a space Western classic and an homage to the smooth and improvised music it is named after.

After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time travelling heroics, Sara (Caity Lotz) wastes no time in getting the Legends back together. We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nick Heywood (Nick Zano), and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh), who together form the meta-human Firestorm.

Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.

Katy Perry Worked With Dr Luke On New Album & Tried To Hide It

Katy Perry was exposed by Twitter users who got their hands on early copies of her new album Witness found out Dr Luke is still heavily involved and profiting off the release... although his name is hidden behind a company name.

While we will never know if Luke produced anything (he has been going by ghostwriting names since the lawsuit) his company, Prescription Songs, has two credits on "Witness" for Swish Swish& Hey Hey Hey, meaning that Katy & her people knowingly worked with Luke and/or his people, also meaning that Dr. Luke will be profiting off of portions of Witness.

Throughout the Keshavs Dr Luke lawsuit, the newly "woke" Katy Perry remained silent on the issue despite being friends with Kesha in the years prior to the lawsuit.

Bill Cosby's trial for sexual assault got underway today in Philadelphia.

* He entered on the arm of his Cosby Show daughter, Keshia Knight-Pulliam (Rudy). She told reporters "It's easy to support when things are good, but true family is who shows up when things aren't good...Everyone goes through adversity, everyone's human. It's not my job to decide guilt or innocence."

* Asked how she would respond to victims who felt she shouldn't be supporting him, Knight-Pulliam said "I'm very sensitive to that, as a woman, a feminist...in no way do I condone the charges, the behavior, what have you...but this is not the man I have ever seen..The man I've known as a child was witty and smart and philanthropic and full of advice...my heart goes out to any woman who's been sexually assaulted, but it's also about ensuring that an innocent man isn't treated as a guilty person."

* TV wife and son Phylica Rashad and Malcolm Jamal Warner were not in the courtroom today, despite reports that they would be at the trial. His real-life wife, Camille, was not there, either.

Opening statements and testimony behind cut for

* Prosecutor Kristen Gibbons-Feden said in her opening statement, "“Celebrities, as a whole, we celebrate them. They become larger than life...we feel that we know them, who they are. And that’s especially true of figures like Bill Cosby, also known as Dr. Huxtable. That man, in that illusion, of all those roles he played on television, that illusion was shattered.”

* Defense lawyer Brian McMonagle said in his opening statements that “sexual assault is a terrible crime” but that “a false accusation of sexual assault is also a terrible crime... What do you see? A brilliant comedian? A flawed husband whose infidelity has made him vulnerable to these actions? He might be like someone you know, who has achieved greatness yet has suffered an indescribable tragedy. What I hope you’ll see is just a man.” McMonagle also told jurors that Cosby is blind. “Unfortunately, when he looks back, he can’t see. I am his eyes in the courtroom.”

* McMonagle continued: “After the so-called paralyzation and drugging and assault, there were 72 phone calls. She called him 53 times...She called him continuously. They spoke, at times, for 30 or 40 minutes at a pop...You will never see Mr. Cosby under oath running from anything...Under oath, he says, ‘I used Quaaludes back three decades ago, when it was fashionable to do so, with consenting women.’”

* Witness Kelly Johnson, an assistant at William Morris, took the stand and sobbed while testifying that in 1996, Cosby gave her a pill that he said would "relax" her but instead knocked her out, and that he then sexually assaulted her.

* McMonagle aggressively cross-examined Johnson, suggesting she used drugs in the 90s (she denied it) and snapping that she had "selective amnesia". He said that she gave different details in a 1996 harassment deposition against William Morris, including saying at the time that the assault happened in 1990, six years earlier than she is now testifying.
