Report: Amanda Bynes Is Hearing Voices & Talks To Herself

$

Amanda Bynes’ erratic and disturbing behavior has taken a drastic turn for the worse because the starlet has been hearing voices and talks to herself in unintelligible sentences, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The former Nickelodeon star has been “spotted wondering the halls of her New York City apartment building at all hours of the night. She talks to herself in language that in non-sensical and has been hearing voices. Amanda is also extremely paranoid and thinks there are tracking devices in the smoke alarms in the apartment. She looks completely disheveled and she is scaring some of the other residents in the building with kids,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Bynes’ has also been smoking a lot of marijuana.

“Amanda’s increasingly disturbing behavior is related to the fact that she smokes pot. It makes her more paranoid and instead of mellowing her out, it does the opposite. Amanda begins talking faster and just can’t seem to sit still,” an insider previously told us.

The 27-year-old starlet’s use of drugs has long been chronicled: When driving on a suspended licence in Sept. last year, Bynes was photographed puffing on what appeared to be a marijuana pipe, then, earlier this month, she was snapped on the streets of Manhattan smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette.

Despite her increasingly concerning behavior, Bynes’ parents, Lynn & Rick, are “powerless to do anything” to rescue her.

“There are no legal options available to them to help rescue their daughter at this time,” the insider added.

Ke$ha: Perez Hilton Ruined My Relationship And Is Everything I'm Against

s-KESHA-PEREZ-HILTON-largeKe$ha is notoriously open with her personal life, speaking candidly on everything from her sexual experiences with a ghost to her vagina, penning a song inspired by her body with her mother.

But there was one thing that the 26-year-old singer didn't want the public to see: leaked, intimate pictures of her.

The photos were made public by gossip blogger Perez Hilton -- a man Ke$ha says ruined her relationship with her then-boyfriend, Harold.

“He single-handedly ruined the only relationship that’s ever meant anything to me,” Ke$ha said in Tuesday night's premiere of "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life," a new docuseries about the singer's life on MTV. “My family doesn’t have to deal with this. He stands for everything I hate. Everything I’m against.”

Video from the episode (shown above) (at the source) also features Ke$ha's mother, who lashes out at Hilton as well.

The photos in question (discussed here and here) (at the source) are no longer available on Hilton's website, showing dead links when users click through. No word on whether Hilton took the photos down.

Filmed by Ke$ha's brother Lagan Sebert, "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life" airs Tuesdays on MTV.

Photographer who took early pictures of Jennifer Lawrence sensed her 'God-given' star power

Photographer Chris Kaufman took some of Jennifer Lawrence's earliest professional photos.

She always had 'it.'

Oscar winner and world-famous actress Jennifer Lawrence was just a cute teenager with a sweet smile when she stepped in front of Chris Kaufman’s camera a decade ago.

But the Louisville, Ky., photographer and talent agent instantly knew he had a future star in his studio.

“I stopped shooting and I turned to my assistant and said, ‘You don’t see people move like that,’ ” said Kaufman, who took some of the earliest professional shots of the all-American beauty who grew up to be J-Law, who at 22 is now Hollywood’s hottest young star.

“I was like, ‘Oh, my Lord, this girl is untrained?’ I remember feeling so much came out of her; it’s God-given,” said Kaufman.

"The Hunger Games” heroine and Academy Award winner for “Silver Linings Playbook” now can get any role she wants — but Lawrence never let her ambitions override her small-town values, Kaufman said.

“When she was 14 or 15, she went into one of the biggest agencies in the world and the receptionist was rude to her. If I remember right, she and her family walked out before the interview, and that tells you a lot,” Kaufman said.

Gibson Amphitheatre Closing After 41 Years
"The list of musicians that have played here is simply staggerin

Treasured “acoustically sensational” Los Angeles venue, the Gibson Amphitheatre, will be turning off the house lights and shutting its doors for good come September 2013. Originally opened as an outdoor venue called Universal Amphitheatere in 1972, the first show at the venue was the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

Since then, a diverse array of legendary artists have sauntered through the hallowed halls underneath the venue such as Radiohead, David Bowie, Madonna, Nine Inch Nails, and Fleetwood Mac. Out of the 23 years that KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas has been around, 21 of those years have been in the Gibson Amphitheatre space.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the reason the Gibson Amphitheatere is being removed is to make room for a Harry Potter themed ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. It has been confirmed that Universal Studios will start building the attraction this summer and that part of the Gibson Amphitheatre land will be used.

In a press release, the President of North American Concerts in Southern California/Las Vegas said that the Gibson Amphitheatre will be missed by music lovers throughout Los Angeles.

“It is a tremendous venue with a uniquely intimate setting that has made it a very special place for fans and artists alike,” said Gallagher. “The list of musicians that have played here is simply staggering. We are honored to have been a part of its remarkable story. While a change like this is difficult, we look forward to putting together a series of great shows that will celebrate everything about this marvelous building.”

Those that still have tickets to Gibson Amphitheatre shows are encouraged to hold onto them by Live Nation whom will be moving the shows to different venues. On the event a show cannot be moved, full refunds will be offered.

To honor the venue, Live Nation will be hosting “a very special line-up of shows as a fitting farewell.”

La Toya Jackson: "Yes, My Siblings Kidnapped My Mother Last Summer!"

$
0
0

In the premiere of La Toya Jackson's brand new OWN reality series, "Life With La Toya," the 56-year-old socialite tackled many subjects, including last summer's "Granny-gate" drama, in which several family members were accused of kidnapping matriarch Katherine Jackson, holding her against her will as they wrestled for control of the late King of Pop's $1 billion estate.

"The truth is, they did kidnap [my mother]," La Toya Jackson said in the first episode of her show. "And we had to keep asking, 'Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?' Begging and begging them, and nobody would let us speak to her."

Katherine Jackson was out of touch with her grandchildren Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson for almost two weeks in July 2012, leading to a missing-person report and the suspension of her guardianship of Michael Jackson's children, whom she has raised since their father's death four years ago. (A judge later reinstated her as co-guardian along with T.J. Jackson, son of Tito.)

The 82-year-old family matriarch stated in an affidavit that she had been whisked out-of-state under false pretenses by several of her children (including Randy, Jermaine, Janet and Rebbie Jackson), who then disabled all means of communication and "prevented" her from speaking to her concerned grandchildren and attorneys.

It was during this turbulent period that Randy, Jermaine, Janet and Rebbie Jackson also sent a letter to the media, in which they accused their brother Michael's estate executors of abusing their mother, "heartlessly [pursuing] wealth, fame and power ... at the expense of our family," and, more importantly, forging the late King of Pop's will. The siblings called for co-executors John Branca and John McClain to resign.

The Michael Jackson estate immediately responded that they were "saddened" by the "false and defamatory accusations" by those whom "[Michael] chose to leave out of his will." Jim Bates, an estate spokesman, added: "Any doubts about the validity of Michael's will and his selection of executors were thoroughly and completely debunked two years ago when a challenge was rejected by the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals and, finally, the California Supreme Court."

On July 26, 2012, after a week of increasing media scrutiny and even more family drama (including a physical altercation between several family members and a visit from the L.A. Sheriff's department)... Katherine Jackson was finally returned home. Only then did she learn the full details of what had been happening in the worldwide news media from Prince, Paris and Blanket.

"Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to," Prince Jackson tweeted that morning. "I'm really angry and hurt."

The children's new co-guardian, T.J. Jackson, subsequently received Katherine Jackson's consent in banning Randy, Jermaine, Janet and Rebbie Jackson from entering the matriarch's Calabasas, California "residence or its grounds."

While La Toya Jackson assured viewers of her TV show that her mother is "safe" now, she admitted that the family in-fighting has only "gotten worse."

"I don't get involved in spats amongst family. I stay away from that. ... I don't like confrontations when it comes to that. It's sad to me," she said. "I think that I've gone through enough of that in my past, so that's why I don't understand why people can't get along. I love my family, but it's not easy."

Jackson added that "ever since the kidnapping situation, it's so important for me to make sure that Mother's okay. That's first priority."

La Toya Jackson on sister Janet Jackson's wedding: "I heard about it through the media"

Janet Jackson is a master of secrecy.

The public was not alone in its surprise that she married her Qatari billionaire boyfriend, Wissam Al Mana. Her family was also stunned to hear the news, according to Global Grind.

In fact, most of the Jackson clan became aware of Janet’s nuptials when the media revealed it to the rest of the world.

"I didn’t know Jan was married until I heard about it through the media," La Toya Jackson said during a private screening for her new OWN-network reality show. "It's true! Most of the family members -- no one really knew. Not at all."

The socialite added that she has never met her new brother-in-law.

Janet Jackson, 46, and Al Mana, 37, revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" in February that they had already gotten married last year after rumors spread of an impending wedding.

"The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true," the duo told "ET" in a joint statement. "Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony."

While this may have come as a shock to the rest of the Jackson family, La Toya reassures that "everything is fine," but confirmed that "most of the siblings ... Nobody knew!"

Gretchen Rossi & Slade Smiley: ENGAGED (She Proposed!)

He said “Yes” — and so did she!

The Real Housewives of Orange County star and bride-to-be Gretchen Rossi, 34, shows off his and hers engagement rings with fiancé Slade Smiley, 39, in this week’s Life & Style, after confirming that instead of waiting for her beau to propose, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

On April 14, after four careful months of planning, Gretchen stayed true to her word — “I don’t do anything by the book” — when she popped the question to Slade with a black-gold and black-diamond band, atop the roof of the AT&T building in LA. “It was a really emotional moment!” Gretchen gushes.

“I’ve never been so overwhelmed with just sheer joy and happiness!” Slade tells Life & Style of Gretchen’s shocking proposal.

But little did Gretchen know, Slade had a surprise of his own planned. Five days later, the couple went to Newport Jewelers in Newport Beach, Calif., where Slade presented Gretchen a ring of her own: a 4-carat fancy yellow diamond surrounded by smaller stones designed by Danny Arik for Newport Jewelers.

A blissed-out (and blinged-out) Gretchen says she’s not ashamed she had to jump-start the process herself: “Life is too short, I’m in love with this man, and I needed to take the plunge!”

Hayley Atwell: My Captain America character is kick-ass

Whatever your take was on Margaret Thatcher, that most Marmite of politicians, she was definitely a woman in a man’s world.

That thought is playing on Hayley Atwell’s mind when considering her timely new ITV drama, Life Of Crime. It starts in 1985 – the opening scene even has Thatcher bellowing out from the TV – and follows Atwell’s rookie cop, Denise, as she battles past the kind of casual sexism that sees her male colleagues call her a ‘Doris’, before making some highly dubious decisions on her way to the top.

‘I was interested in the bad decisions people make in high positions,’ says the 31-year-old actress, who first popped her head above the Hollywood parapet two years ago as Captain America’s squeeze in the Marvel/Chris Evans movie. ‘And Thatcher was the perfect example of that. The consequences of what she does wrong haunts Denise throughout her career.’

When Atwell was researching Life Of Crime, she spoke to a female police officer who worked during the Brixton riots and knew all too well what it was like trying to get ahead amid all that 1980s testosterone. ‘She said very bluntly that a woman was either considered just a girly lady who liked to tart around the office, or that she was hard and scary – there were complete misconceptions or stereotypes,’ says Atwell.

You can’t imagine Atwell tarting up or busting balls, what with her carrying something of a thoughtful, English rose intellectual about her. But first appearances are deceptive: her English mother is a motivational speaker, while her American father is a massage therapist and a shaman, meaning her background is far from conventional.

Does she go in for altered states of consciousness herself? ‘I have a healthy sense of humour about life in general but I don’t want to belittle anyone’s beliefs,’ Atwell says with friendly diplomacy. ‘I’m saying that because at drama school I ran around in a black leotard and tights for three years with someone saying: “Let’s be the colour blue today.” I think whether it’s having a cup of tea to start your system or whether it’s something more spiritual, we need those things to refocus and realign ourselves.’

After her parents separated when she was two, Atwell was raised in west London by her mother. ‘It wasn’t a conventional upbringing but it was very safe,’ she says. ‘My mum has been a massive influence on me. She always said I could work hard and live my dream – I would never underestimate the effect that a parent has on what you believe you can achieve in your life.’

Atwell’s achievements are certainly growing, building steadily from period pieces such as The Duchess and Brideshead Revisited (both 2008) to more stretching contemporary fare such as Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror this year. In between came Captain America and, when we speak, she’s in LA putting the finishing touches on the sequel, due out this time next year.

‘I’m going to [comic book convention] Comic Con in July,’ she says. ‘I’ve never been before, so I said to the film’s producer: “What is it, like 3,000 people?” He said: “No, try 300,000 people.” They get quite obsessive. When we were filming the first one, Chris Evans went over to do a: “Hi, I’m the next Captain America, nice to meet you” thing and two fans who were dressed up ended up fighting over his seat. One of them stabbed the other with a really sharp pencil.’

According to Atwell, her role as Agent Peggy Carter, Captain America’s love interest, is a lot more kick-ass this time around. ‘I’ve been working with some stunt coordinators – I get three separate fight scenes,’ she says. ‘The training has been really tough because not only are you learning the moves, you’re also learning the power of the punch so it doesn’t look like you have spaghetti arms. On my first day, they said: “It’s going really well but you don’t have to add your own sound effects…”’

Atwell has also provided the sound effects (well, vocals) for the Captain America video game. Has she played it? ‘No, I have to curb my enthusiasm for video games because they get me into trouble,’ she admits. ‘I can actually sit there and play The Sims for five or six hours straight.’

She tells me she’s now cut back to just playing a Wii but as a child she had everything you could shake a joystick at. ‘I would play Ecco The Dolphin, Looney Tunes, Zelda…’

Thankfully, her new-found discipline has allowed her time to pack in another film role – as Kathy Etchingham, the girlfriend of Jimi Hendrix, in a biopic helmed by OutKast frontman André 3000.

‘Kathy’s biography is a brilliant, funny, moving piece about living with a musical genius,’ she says, confessing she was a big fan of Hendrix’s music prior to landing the role. ‘With my dad being American, he was the one who introduced me to him. It was a very rich time, culturally.’

The actress continues effusively about Etchingham with the same kind of enthusiam that she reserves for other actresses she looks to emulate. ‘There are women who have paved the way to empowerment as an actress, the Diana Riggs, the Helen Mirrens, the Judy Denches, the Helen McRorys, the Olivia Colmans,’ she says. ‘A great generation of women whose works I’ve seen and gone: “Bloody hell, that’s good.”’

Life Of Crime is on ITV on May 10; Captain America: The Winter Soldier is due out April 2014.

Marvel Studios' Louis D'Esposito Confirms New MARVEL: ONE-SHOT ft Peggy Carter

Recently, Hayley Atwell made a cryptic statement that led many to speculate that a new Marvel One-Shot, focusing on Peggy Carter was on the way. At the Iron Man 3 premiere, Marvel Studios co-President Louis D'Esposito confirmed the rumors, stating that he just directed a new One-Shot focusing on a strong female and that it would be premiering at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. D'Esposito previously directed the Item 47 One-Shot that accompanied the release of The Avengers blu-ray. Atwell previously hinted that the One-Shot would give the actress the opportunity to show off what Peggy was 'truly capable of.' Xbox 720 to be unveiled on May 21 in Redmond

$
0
0

The PS4 has been announced for over two months now, and all eyes are on Microsoft to see what the plans are for the next Xbox. The year is already a third of the way over, and we’ve not heard much of anything out of official channels until now. Today, invitations went out for a next-gen Xbox unveiling event in Redmond on May 21.

At 10am Pacific Time on the 21st, Microsoft’s Don Mattrick will be announcing the details of the next Xbox. While only select press will get to see it in person, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb has confirmed that the event will be streaming live on Xbox.com and Xbox Live while Spike TV will be covering it on cable. Just two and a half weeks later, Microsoft will be out in full force at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to show off next-gen games. Finally, we’ll get to see the PS4 and Xbox 720 go head-to-head on the showroom floor.

The situation has gotten ugly with the rumors and preemptive backlash around always-on DRM in the upcoming Xbox 720. In fact, this reveal might have even been pushed back to the 21st to deal with the PR nightmare surrounding the Adam Orth fiasco. At this point, all we can do is hope that Microsoft has the wisdom not to fight against customer demand.

So, what can we expect the Xbox 720 to do besides run prettier games? Well, rumors have it that a 1080p Kinect will ship bundled with the console, and that makes sense with Sony tackling motion sensing in a similar way with the PS4. Microsoft has also been surprisingly progressive with its support of tablets and smartphones with its SmartGlass initiative, so it’s possible Microsoft will try to outdo Nintendo’s Wii U on second screen support.

Whatever Microsoft does, expect Sony to come on strong. After losing its competitive edge with the PS3, Sony seems to be going all in with the PS4. We’ve yet to see a price or release date from Sony, so it’s likely that it will try to undercut any bold moves from Microsoft. We’re in for quite a battle in the next year or two, and the ball is in Microsoft’s court with the Xbox 720.

Incidentally, should we start taking bets on what the Xbox 720 will actually be called? Here in the ExtremeTech bunker, James Plafke has his money on the Xbox 360 2, but most of us think it’ll just be called Xbox— much in the same vein as Apple forsook model numbers with its “new iPad.”

Laura Marling has attacked TV talent shows such as The X Factor and The Voice, arguing that they are "an awful part of society," just days after Emeli Sande aired the same views.

The Brit award winner claims that the singing contests teach the wrong values when it comes to teaching what it is to be a musician.

The 23-year-old told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: “They are just horrible. It's an awful part of our society.

“It's teaching the wrong thing, I think, teaching that you want fame.”

The 'Ghosts' singers argument comes after Emeli Sande urged aspiring musicians not to enter The X Factor.

The Scottish singer is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “I find it quite depressing. I find it sad that four people are judging these people and really knocking their confidence.”

However, George Shelly from  X Factor boyband Union J spoke to EntertainmentWise yesterday saying that entering The X Factor was “one of the best decision that I've made personally in my life.”

Bandmate Josh added: “People who make these remarks very often don't understand what these people on X Factor have done before the show, they just think that we've just turned up.”

Laura Marling recently confirmed plans to release her fourth album 'Once I Was An Eagle' in the UK on May 27.

Laura Marling has had an eventful past two months in anticipation of her upcoming fourth record: First came the March announcement with a promising new teaser track, then word of a Shakespeare soundtrack project on the way, another excellent single, this week’s short film, and finally an appearance on Later… with Jools Holland the other night. This wasn’t her first time on the long-running BBC series, as Marling has been making appearances on the program for the past half-decade. Now a regular on the show, it comes with no surprise she brought all of the confident, understated charm we’ve come to expect. What’s more the song of choice, “Once,” has been a favorite around here since she first unveiled it for BBC 6 Music’s 10th anniversary last August. Watch Marling take the Jools Holland stage for the latest stunning solo rendition above.

Laura Marling has already shared two tracks off her forthcoming album Once I Was An Eagle: the melancholic “Where Can I Go?” and the fiery “Master Hunter”. Now, through a new short film titled “When Brave Bird Saved”, the UK singer-songwriter previews four more: “Take The Night Off”, “I Was An Eagle”, “You Know”, and “Breathe”.

Directors Fred & Nick had this to say of the nearly 19-minute piece:

“When Brave Bird Saved” is an introduction to a visual journey directly inspired, informed, and narrated by the first four tracks of Once I Was An Eagle. Having collaborated with Laura over the last four years, the ambition and scope of this film marks an exciting new direction for us — and we were given total freedom to focus strongly on the distinct journey of the four tracks.”
