Selena Gomez Opens Up on Power96 Miami

0

Selena Gomez had a call-in interview with Power96 Miami to discuss new music and what's been going on.

"Genuinely, I wanted to work on something that was just an evolution from the music that I had done."

- Interviewer says she didn't recognize the Whisper Queen's voice in her new single #BadLiar, and Selena is "glad [she] said that"

- Selena says she's trying new things, having fun, and challenging herself

- She has been in the studio for over a year working on new music / has a lot of stuff coming out soon

- Bad Liar is about that honeymoon stage when you first fall for someone, and the feeling where you want to dress and eat differently (which she doesn't encourage) and can't play it cool - says it's the best feeling in the whole world

- Feels that the music she had previously is no longer relevant to who she is now, feels more honest and more strong, has gone through a shift, and is still learning

- When asked about if she's ever done any obsessive things she regrets regarding a relationship, she says she feels like she can't even post a photo because it lives forever + is the kind of girl who gives her heart and soul to someone and goes crazy over it

- Has spent too much time worrying about what people say about her

- The last lie she's told someone: told someone cute she was planning a trip, saying she's gonna leave, just to get that person to tell her to stay

- Interviewer offered to hook her up with a nice tanned boy in Miami, to which Selena responds, "uhh, I dunno about that - I'm taken!"

Law & Order: SVU Gets a New Showrunner

This is one of many recent changes in the Chicago/Law & Order franchise. The previous SVU showrunner, Rick Eid, who was in charge for Season 18 (and totally botched it) was named the new showrunner of Chicago P.D. (I'm sorry!). Michael Chernuchin, the new SVU showrunner, has been a Dick Wolf regular for decades. He worked on the Mothership for about 10 seasons (the good ones), and he also did a few episodes of Criminal Intent. Chernuchin was also the EP of Chicago Justice, which was recently cancelled after one season, and apparently he also worked on Black Sails in 2015 (whoa).

ONTD, are you happy about this? lbr, it's not like SVU could get any worse. I'm just happy we got rid of the other guy. But I never watched Chicago Justice. For those of you who did, was it a good show? And, like I wished a couple of days ago, do you think we could get Jon Seda on SVU, if Chicago don't want him?

Bravo Doesn't Want Real Housewives of Sydney + Real Housewives of Melbourne S4 Cast

0
0

Bravo is refusing to air the series despite airing Real Housewives of Melbourne.

Foxtel boss Brian Walsh says “A lot of the women in this show were nasty for nasty’s sake and have no redeeming features." He also says that if the show is renewed there would need to be big changes to the cast. He also thinks that the show was missing light hearted moments.

RHOM S4 Cast

Homewares store owner Sally Bloomfield (second from left) and lawyer Venus Behbahani-Clark (centre) join returning cast Gina Liano, Jackie Gillies, Gamble Breaux, Lydia Schiavello and Janet Roach.

Chyka Keebaugh is to busy with her stores and planning events for the uber wealthy. Pettifleur Berenger and Susie McLean were most likely fired.

Sydney had all the drama but Melbourne is still the best franchise after Atlanta. Athena X can stay but Lisa Oldfield and Victoria Rees both need to GTFO. Is anybody watching this season of RHOCheshire? It's kind of good. Toronto was such a let down.

A new Jacquie Lee EP is coming soon; live teaser clips below cut

0

LIVE TEASER CLIPS AFTER THE CUT

Season 5 The Voice runner-up Jacquie Lee recently announced that she will be releasing an EP very soon. New music is expected this summer as per one of her tweets. A number of live teaser clips have also surfaced, showcasing a soulful and urban-influenced direction, which is a departure from her first pop-based EP, Broken Ones from 2014.

While it's not the full length debut album that has been promised to the fans since about 2015, it makes sense for her to go the EP route again for a number of reasons. For starters, she switched to a new label, Steel Wool Entertainment, some time in 2016. Steel Wool is home to Hayley Kiyoko.

Jacquie was formerly signed to the 300 Entertainment arm of Atlantic Records and managed by Roger Gold, who would later go on to take solo Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony fame under his wing. It's unclear whether Jacquie's departure from Atlantic Records was the result of internal politics or voluntary. 2015 was a highly eventful year for Jacquie, with major television and magazine appearances, and tours as the opening act for Shawn Mendes and Kalin and Myles, as well as a radio tour, but towards the end of 2015 it seemed as though Jacquie's manager became increasingly more invested in Camila on the public front.

At the top of 2016, Jacquie's collaboration with Cash Cash, Aftershock (which is nearing 11 million streams on Spotify), was released as a single and a music video followed in March. From that point on she lost some momentum and seemingly retreated from the public eye, for the most part, especially after the death of her close friend Christina Grimmie. Jacquie bookended 2016 with tribute song for Christina called "Somebody's Angel", which she has yet to perform live. So, 2016 was pretty light in terms of promotion. However, she had a fair amount of visibility on Spotify. - Her signature song, Broken Ones, was added to some high traffic playlists and is now nearing 27 million streams.

It's unknown if any of the material that she worked on while under Atlantic Records will make its way onto the new EP. While on tour with Shawn Mendes she performed a few new songs, such as "Empire" and "Exposed", which have yet to be released. At one point, Jacquie mentioned having co-written a song with Shawn while on tour with him. This was a few months before Shawn teamed up with Camila on "I Know What You Did Last Summer." No doubt Jacquie has enough material for a full length album plus, as she has been on - what felt like - a neverending ride of writing and recording sessions.

Diddy laughed in Liam Payne's face

0
0

Taking the Ed Sheeran approach and talking about his interaction with other celebrities to drum up publicity, 2Paynez spilled that: "I went over to speak to him and Jay Z, and as I shook his hand, he just chuckled... the most evil laugh that I've ever heard."

He went on to say that the laugh seemed to have lasted for an eternity and that "it was like the most daunting celebrity experience that you could ever imagine. I thought P Diddy was a safe bet. Obviously I missed the mark a little bit, he's a lot scarier than you think he is."

Maybe he just wasn't a fan of Strip that Down? Have you ever had any awkward encounters with celebrities ONTD?
