- About Empire and female representation:
“I get to kinda come in and collaborate with Jamal. It’s always cool to be that female voice of that creative vibe that comes in and is able to produce a song and work on a record. I think that’s always something that is underrepresented, and so I think it’s really cool to do that on the show. I think the show is such a fun way to took at the music industry, it makes it so much more theatrical and so much more fun and glamorous than it is in real life, which is always funny to see. I love it. It’s really cool.”

- About having started her career acting in Cora Unashamed, where she convincingly played a child who became ill and died:
“I think I was able to tap into some deeper passion for trying to make the role really accurate even though I was like 5 years old. I was really trying to play dead as hard as I could. I’ve always just loved entertaining and loved being in front of a camera and putting on a show. So acting for me, even as a really young kid, really early age, I just loved to do it.”

- About going back to acting:
“I kinda took a hiatus, so it’s fun to be back on this side of the camera. I’ve seen other things here and there. I auditioned for particular parts or maybe thought about it, but nothing really came along that I thought was the perfect thing. So, this is a nice little tease.”

SVU: Season 18 Finale Post-Mortem

Two white men rob a Muslim restaraunt, brutally assaulting the family who owns it, they rape the owner's daughters and murder one of them (which, I'm warning you, is shown kinda graphically), and then they spray paint "Muslims must die" on the crime scene. Olivia Benson somehow discerns this could possibly be a hate crime.

A witness is discovered, but he is hesitant to testify, because he's in the US illegally, plus he's gay, and Muslim, so he knows he'll be killed if he's sent back to Syria. Benson and Friends ask him to testify and promise he won't get deported, so of course he gets deported. We never find out what happens to him after that.

An accomplice is discovered, but he won't testify either, so Benson reaches out to his "illegal" wife and threatens to call ICE and get her deported (losing her kids in the process) if she doesn't convince her husband to testify. The wife agrees to Benson's blackmail. A win for justice.

The husband testifies, and is then shot and killed in a dramatic shoot-out at the steps of the courthouse.

The rapists are racist creeps who utter slurs every two seconds and sound like they read InfoWars and watch Sean Hannity. It is very aggravating to watch. Trump is mentioned and shaded multiple times.

Another witness pops up (this episode was not contrived at all) and lies on the stand, to incriminate the suspects. Barba basically asks Benson to lie on the stand too, to corroborate the false witness statement. Benson does not go along with it.

Through yet another contrivance, one more witness pops up. In a twist, it's the racist wife of one of the racist rapists. Benson gets her to tell the truth, the rapists are convicted, and racism is defeated.

Benson rejects Barba's offer to buy her drinks, as always, and then Daddy Dodds (Peter Gallagher, who's been there the whole time) informs Benson and the viewers that a mosque was fire-bombed and there are five dead. Racism is not defeated, after all.

Odell Beckham Jr. has been skipping practice to spend time with his new girlfriend Iggy Azalea.

They were seen together at a bowling alley in LA.

Earlier this year, OBJ was criticized by the sports media talking heads for when he played poorly in the playoff game where the Giants were eliminated after being photographed partying with some of his teammates on a boat in Miami with Trey Songz and Justin Bieber right before the game.

Update: TMZ is reporting that sources from Odell's camp are saying he's not in a relationship with her right now. Still, it is interesting to note that Odell was photographed with Iggy at both Demi Lovato and Paris Hilton's houses at different points earlier this month before today's story came out.

Noel Gallagher appeared to be pretty shaken up about the recent attack as he spoke about it to Radio X:




-"Having played that arena and all that, and stood in that foyer, and you know, being from Manchester, as it's dawning on you that it's aimed at young music fans...there are no words. There are words - unfortunately, you can't broadcast the words".

-"You have to keep going, you know, I don't know what Ariana Grande's gonna do - I couldn't imagine".

-"I've got a teenage daughter...she may well have been there. The first thing you do when you get up, I'm kind of texting my friends in Manchester, and bar a couple of friends of friends who are in hospital, and two very close shaves, all the people that I know didn't get involved in it or weren't caught up in it....but I think this particular atrocity will take quite a while to heal".

ScarJo came in and saved the day by asking the performers to join them and reportedly said:"That's ridiculous! Everyone knows that drag queens should always get into a party come with us!"

Tennis legend Margaret Court to boycott Qantas Airways over same-sex marriage stance

Tennis legend Margaret Court decided to boycott Qantas Airways because it supports same sex marriage.

Margaret Court is the most decorated player in grand slam tennis history, winning a record 24 major titles from 1960 to 1973. She is currently a senior pastor at Perth's Victory Life Church and has been a critic of homosexuality and same sex marriage for decades.

Court wrote an open letter to the Qantas board and CEO Alan Joyce which was published in The West Australian newspaper.

Transcript of Margaret Court's letter:

I write this as an open letter to the Qantas board and Alan Joyce as the Senior Pastor of Victory Life Church in Perth.
As you will know, I have represented Australia many times and have the proud record of never losing a tennis match while playing for my country.
I am disappointed that Qantas has become an active promoter for same-sex marriage.
I believe in marriage as a union between a man and a woman as stated in the Bible.
Your statement leaves me no option but to use other airlines where possible for my extensive travelling.
How proud I was to promote the kangaroo tail throughout the world from the Constellation days to the 380s.
But unfortunately no more.
I love all people and will be pleased to talk to your board at any time.
But it won’t be in the Qantas lounge.

Australian Open venue Margaret Court Arena will not be renamed despite Margaret Court views on same-sex marriage.




Grand Slam winners Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King, who are both gay, have previously criticised Court.
