Steve Harvey to staff: ‘Do Not Approach Me’

Steve Harvey is moving his talk show from Chicago to California after 5 seasons.
One of the crew mmembers staying behind leaked a memo sent to the staff by Harvey for the final season of the show in Chicago.
The gist of the memo is him asking the staff not talk with him, walk with or approach him unless he has given them permission. All of this is for "the good of his personal life and enjoyment."

Good morning, everyone. Welcome back.

I’d like you all to review and adhere to the following notes and rules for Season 5 of my talk show.

There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. NO ONE.

Do not come to my dressing room unless invited.

Do not open my dressing room door. IF YOU OPEN MY DOOR, EXPECT TO BE REMOVED.

My security team will stop everyone from standing at my door who have the intent to see or speak to me.

I want all the ambushing to stop now. That includes TV staff.

You must schedule an appointment.

I have been taken advantage of by my lenient policy in the past. This ends now. NO MORE.

Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly. Either knock or use the doorbell.

I am seeking more free time for me throughout the day.

Do not wait in any hallway to speak to me. I hate being ambushed. Please make an appointment.

I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me.

If you’re reading this, yes, I mean you.

Everyone, do not take offense to the new way of doing business. It is for the good of my personal life and enjoyment.

This past weekend I was working as a wedding coordinator and while taking pictures of the wedding party in Central Park a certain celebrity/domestic goddess/former convict walked by...then came back around to take pictures with the group and I...





MARTHA STEWART!

Full story: As I was corralling the wedding party into the cars to get them to the reception, Martha strolled by and said very casually: "Oh, you ladies look lovely!" then continued down the street. She was walking with a male friend (he's a designer or someone well-known in interior design, I just can't place him). He stopped at the hot dog vendor to get a NY hot dog and I told myself this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I had to... I walked up to her and said hello. I told her that she just made our day, but she could make our lives if she would pose for a picture with us! She joked with me about how much she loves making comments to wedding parties when she sees them and how she gets a kick out of their reactions. She agreed to take the picture and as we walked back to the group, asked her friend if she looked good enough for a picture. He said yes and she jumped right in with the group. Her friend snapped pictures on her phone and I took some on mine. After the g
roup shots I told her I needed a picture too, so her friend went took a few of us on my phone. I was holding the bride's bouquet this entire time and she says "Oh let me hold the bouquet!" This all resulted in this:



The next day, my friend tagged me in a Facebook post saying I was featured in this article.



So, basically I am famous and BFF's with Martha and this is my super fun post about it.

tl;dr - I met Martha Stewart and it was pretty awesome.

The album is already out in a bunch of countries,going to #1 in all of them except for Japan, which was #3. Since the album's technically out, inevitably people are listening to it. Harry meanwhile will be on the BBC 1 Breakfast show to play his album tomorrow, and is on the cover of Sunday Times.

He was @ London today for a secret pre viewing of his Apple music movie, behind the scenes which is reportedly an hour long.

Matt Asner, a film producer and the vice president of the Development for Autism Society of America, talked about how his autistic children identified with Drax, who doesn't understand metaphors and doesn't have a filter on what he says.

"It's something that happens with a couple of my kids a lot. They don't have that edit button. It's great for them to see a character like this ... Not just for people who have autism, but people who are out there who don't really know what autism is."

"One of the wonderful things about this, they don't say he has autism, it just is. That's really the way it is out in the real world. It's a wonderful thing that he's part of this group, that he's living his own life, that he's dealing with things on his own."

"It's a very positive thing for people who are autistic to look at and enjoy. That's what we need to get to, characters that are autistic and just a part of the world on the screen, instead of making a statement about it."

Justin Bieber performed in India for the first time at the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai on 10 May 2017. For Beliebers, it was a dream come true. But disgruntled adults complained that the young pop sensation was lip-syncing to many of the songs in his set. Not everyone was happy with how the concert was organised. Beiberconda was in his zombie induced default mode. Not even miming words to his own music and half assed dancing. Fans are upset they spent upwards to $1k to see the human version of a herpe not even perform his hit Baby correct.

On fame:
She says the persona she created for fame aka LDR is less of a prop for her now and she thinks it's less of a persona because she has grown up therefore doesn't need a persona to lean on. She says it's easier for her to go out and play an arena in jeans now.

On love:
She says a lot of her past experiences regarding relationships aren't relevant in her life anymore and that's why she has a more positive outlook. She admits that a lot of her past work has been drawn for those experiences.

She says one of her mistakes is that she's always been drawn to men with a bit of an edge, the 'frontman' of the band so to say. She doesn't do that anymore and one day she will write a book called "The curse of the frontman and why you should always date a bassist."

On Music:
She thinks it would be weird to make music now and not be influenced by American politics given the past 18 months, and that the current political landscape it makes her upset.

Happy the show got its renewal confirmation! A special screening of this Sunday's episode was held last night with GLAAD and I'm liking the reactions so far regarding this specific storyline =) Can't wait for this weekend.

Top of the Lake: China Girl follows detective Robin Griffin as she investigates the murder of a Chinese woman who washes up on Bondi beach.

Elisabeth Moss returns as Robin Griffin and the new cast includes Gwendoline Christie, Nicole Kidman and Alice Englert (Jane Campion's daughter).

Jane Campion co-wrote and co-directed the new series which will premiere at Cannes before being released in September.

Alice Englert is playing the daughter Robin gave up for adoption and Kidman plays her adoptive mother.
