About: Girlfriends is a tv-show that show us the lives of four different women, Joan, Toni, Lynn and Maya. Joan Carol Clayton, is considered the unofficial "den mother" of the group, as she frequently looks out for her friends even at the expense of dealing with her own problems, which are plentiful throughout the series run. Joan, originally from Fresno, met Toni when they were children, met Lynn in college. Maya is her assistant at the law firm.

Denise Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show'

About: Denise is a free-spirited daughter of Cliff and Clair Huxtable. At the beginning of the series, she is sixteen years old, putting her year of birth in 1968. She loves fashion and music, but did not want to attend school to pursue either interest. A two-year stint at Hillman College leads her to Africa, where she meets, falls for, and marries Navy Lt. Martin Kendall, who has a daughter, Olivia, from a previous marriage. Denise eventually decides to become a special education teacher and makes arrangements to attend Medgar Evers College to this effect, but that idea does not work out as Denise eventually leaves New York again when Martin is posted to Singapore on a long-term assignment.
Carrie Bradshaw on 'Sex and the City'

About: Carrie is the main character in Sex and the City. She is a writer for the New York Star with a column with the same title as the show. When she is not writing about her relationships, sex, men, women, careers, etc. for her column, she is shopping (mostly for designer shoes) or chatting with her three best friends; Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte.
Carol Hathaway on 'ER'
Played by: Julianna Margulies
About: Carol Hathaway is a registered nurse and is the nurse manager in the emergency room of Chicago's County General Hospital. She holds a master's degree in nursing and is left-handed. Carol also have four sisters and she is the youngest child in her family.
In Season Three, Carol intends to go to medical school and become a doctor, but decides against it because she sees that her job as a nurse is worthwhile.
