Daniel Newman, who plays a resident of Ezekiel's Kingdom on The Walking Dead, posted - and then quickly deleted - a photo on Instagram from the show's set that contained a potential spoiler for the upcoming eighth season premiere.
The photo shows Newman posing with series lead Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, and another cast member, Jeremy Palko, who plays a member of yet another community, the Hilltop. Newman is in full battle costume as a member of the Kingdom, and behind the trio can be seen what appears to be the Sanctuary, villain Negan's stronghold.
Since Rick has not yet been to the Sanctuary on the show, the photo would appear to indicate that the premiere will feature Rick's group and their allies taking the war to Negan's home base.
The cast began filming the eighth season premiere, which is also the series' 100th episode,
last week. Cast and crew are strictly forbidden from posting on set photos on social media until after episodes air, but apparently Newman missed the memo.
