    Warning for discussion of suicide

'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn wrote the following message on his Facebook to his fans.

"When I was young I felt utterly alone, at times to the point of suicidal thoughts. I never felt like I belonged, had an incredibly difficult time connecting to other people and, despite having love around me, I had an impossible time experiencing it, or taking it in.

But I found my respite in popular entertainment - Marvel comics, science fiction and horror films, the music of The Sex Pistols, The Replacements, and Queen. Suddenly I could see past the bland suburbs where I lived into a more magical world, a world more aligned with what I imagined.

Sometimes these works were simply escapist fantasies that distracted me from the difficulties of my internal life. But other times, in the strongest moments - maybe through the words of Alice Cooper or Freddie Mercury, through Cronenberg films, or even in Chewbacca's growl, I experienced something deeper - the realization that I wasn't completely alone. Someone out there was as weird and strange and whacked out as I was.</i>

So this morning, as the internet discusses box office and its many theories around what that means (zzzzzzzz), I'd like to remember that that's truly all nonsense and noise. The only meaning the money holds for me is that I can pay my mortgage, feed my dog and cat, and continue making movies. I haven't worked two and a half years just to watch a string of numbers getting higher.

I work because I like telling stories. I work because I love the relationships I have with my collaborators. And I do it because I like connecting with people, and the easiest way I know how to do that is through filmmaking. I do it so that some kid in Thailand, or England, or Colombia, or Brazil, or Japan, or Russia, or anywhere, can hear the frequency of his or her own heart bouncing back off the Guardians.

They're a group of heartbroken misfits whose lives have been bereft of tenderness and connection and who have a nearly impossible time trusting themselves or others. But they're learning, one step at a time.

They are me. They are you. We are Groot.

And no matter how much world leaders are telling you we aren't in this together, we are. You are not alone.

Thank you so much, my Facebook friends, for supporting me over the past two and a half years, and thank you for all the messages letting us know we've keyed into the frequency of your hearts. I love you all, and I'll continue being here with you over the next three years as we create Vol. 3."

Do y'all think there'll be a 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards show? I searched hard & there were like 3 celebs, 11 has-beens and 56 people who would turn up to the opening of a truck stop... like, this was too budget for Karjenners to turn up to...

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Katy Perry responds to the question we all want to know-- will she come for T Swift in a clap back to Bad Blood? The answer is no(I think.. honestly sis doesn't make a lot of sense).

While a clap back may be what finally gets Katy back to the top of the charts, Katy instead had this to say:

Are you here for Katy taking the high road, ONTD?

-"There are so few shows on television that find themselves running parallel, and perhaps directly into, the crisis in our culture." - Uzo Aduba (who plays Suzanne Warren aka Crazy Eyes).

-"What I think is interesting is to look at the characters who are very comfortable with the system as it is, and the characters who are pushing against that system, and resisting, and participating in the riot this season. I would like folks, when they watch, to think about the people in real life who are pushing and resisting—and then those people who are complacent, and comfortable with the status quo, even when that status quo isn't serving them." - Laverne Cox (who plays Sophia Berset)

In her new book "This Is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare", a chapter titled MYOB (“Mind your own body”).

“It’s important because I don’t happen to have the kind of body that we usually see on television and in films. I am plus-size, I have dark skin and I am 100 percent beautiful, but I get a lot of flak. ‘Oh, you should lose weight.’ And now that I have lost weight ― I lost weight for health reasons ― I get, ‘You look good, but don’t lose too much weight because your face is starting to sink in.’”

“Literally someone said, ‘Congratulations, I see you lost weight. Congratulations.’ And I say, ‘That’s a weird thing to congratulate me on because this is my body.’ And it’s not just the male gaze, it’s like the human gaze.”

“This has been my body since I was 5ish, you know? It’s been a 30-year thing of other people putting their own stuff on my body. But it’s mine, so I will police it, thank you.”

    Clinton statement:

Working on a book about a sitting President — drawing on what I know about the job, life in the White House, and the way Washington works — has been a lot of fun and working with Jim has been terrific. I’ve been a fan of his for a very long time.

    Patterson statement:

I’m a storyteller, and President Clinton’s insight has allowed us to tell a really interesting one. It’s a rare combination — readers will be drawn to the suspense, of course, but they’ll also be given an inside look into what it’s like to be President.

The book will be released in June of 2018.

    • Sources close to Bravo have confirmed to TMZ that Phaedra Parks was fired in early April by the network.

    • It was revealed over the last 2 weeks on the show that Phaedra had told a vicious lie to fellow cast member Porsha Williams that their fellow cast member Kandi Burruss had told Phaedra directly that she and her husband Todd wanted to drug and take advantage of Porsha sexually.

    • Phaedra eventually changed her story on the reunion 3 times; first, she said she didn't remember telling it to Porsha, then, she said she was told by a secondary source (rumored to be now fired producer Carlos King) that Kandi said this until she finally backtracked and said Kandi told it to her directly.

    • TMZ says that sources close to production said a scene was filmed of Phaedra telling Porsha that Kandi herself said it BUT Phaedra threatened to sue the network if the clip was aired, so they did not air it.

    • Kandi is looking into legal avenues to sue Phaedra for slander and character defamation.
