Some interview game

Jade and Jesy were 12 when their first kisses happened, Perrie and Leigh-Anne were 15.

Jesy's first kiss was awful because she didn't want to do it.

Leigh-Anne's first kiss was near perfect, in fact the only thing she regrets about it is who it was with.

(Fun fact- not from this video: Jade and Perrie are from the same town in the north of England and both of them had their first kiss with a guy called Connor ******** but it turned out to be two different guys with the same name)

Jade's 19th birthday was 2 weeks after they won the X-factor. Loads of people came just to take a photo with her and leave. Perrie was one of those who stayed. That's when they planned to move in together in London and did so later on.

"Billions" Star Asia Kate Dillon Questions Emmys’ Gender Binary Acting Categories

Asia Kate Dillon, who plays a gender non-binary person on the hit Showtime series Billions, has written to the Television Academy asking them to reconsider gender-specific acting awards.

Dillon, who goes by the pronouns "they" and "them," will be submitted for consideration for an Emmy Award and requested "more information from the Academy as to whether or not they use the words actor and actress to refer to assigned sex or identity."

Variety shared part of Dillon’s letter to the Academy:
"I’d like to know if in your eyes 'actor' and 'actress' denote anatomy or identity and why it is necessary to denote either in the first place? The reason I'm hoping to engage you in a conversation about this is because if the categories of 'actor' and 'actress' are in fact supposed to represent 'best performance by a person who identifies as a woman' and 'best performance by a person who identifies as a man' then there is no room for my identity within that award system binary. Furthermore, if the categories of 'actor' and 'actress' are meant to denote assigned sex I ask, respectfully, why is that necessary?"

The Academy informed Dillon that "anyone can submit under either category for any reason.""I found them to be 100% supportive. I really couldn't have been happier," they said of their conversation with the Academy.

In a statement to Variety, the Television Academy added that it "celebrates inclusiveness, and as we discussed with Asia, there is no gender requirement for the various performer categories. Asia is free to choose the category they wish to enter."

In the end, Dillon decided to enter as supporting actor, because "actor is a non-gendered word.""What I learned through my research is that the word 'actor,' specifically in reference to those who performed in plays, came about in the late 1500s as a non-gendered word," says Dillon. "It applied to all people, regardless of anatomical sex or gender identity."

Dillon is interested in engaging with the industry about the larger issue of gender: "I think this is a really good place to start a larger conversation about the categories themselves, and what changes are possible and what may or may not be coming. I'm excited to see what other people think, and what they want to say once they become aware of this."

Asia Kate Dillon's Billions character intro video:

Dillon also recently sat down with Ellen to explain what a non-binary gender identification is:

"Non-binary is a term used by some people, myself included, who experience their gender identity falling somewhere outside of the boxes of man and woman."
"Sex and identity are different. 'Female' is a sex, and sex is between our legs, and gender identity is between our ears. It's a learning process."
"I can remember, actually, seeing the film 'Oliver!' and understanding so badly that I wanted to play that part, but that I would never be able to because I was a 'girl' and Oliver was a 'boy.'"

Professional Clowns Are All Kinds of Pissed About the ‘IT’ Remake

Many professional clowns are upset about the upcoming remake of Stephen King's IT, saying that the fear of clowns is ruining their business.

“We just experienced a nice break from the scary clown meme from last October,” says one clown. “And just when things are starting to normalize, the IT trailer comes and it’s like, ‘Here we go again.’”

Another commented, “It’s a dying profession. And the people who do it and scrape together a living have to grapple with the fact that it’s cool and hip not to like clowns. The ultimate prick in this [IT movie] is that it’s going to turn young consumers away from an art form that’s sweet and nice and not about the Kardashians and Minecraft.”

ONTD Original: 35 celebs who have ADHD

$
0
0
For all we hear about it, ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is subject to common misconceptions and persistant negative stereotypes. In truth, people of all ages, races, professions and stages of life are diagnosed and treated for ADHD. Anyone can suffer from the disorder, so it's likely to affect more people than you think.

ADHD often goes undiagnosed because the symptoms differ from person to person and are more subtle in adults. Symptoms include inattentiveness, distractibility, lack of focus or hyperfocus, impulsivity, chronic boredom, disorganization, bad time management, forgetfulness, low tolerance for frustration, restlessness, poor self-control and difficulty setting/reaching goals. ADHD can be a huge struggle since it can strongly affect work, relationships and other aspects of daily life, but it doesn't have to stand in the way of a productive and successful life. People with ADHD are often extraordinarily creative, adventurous, innovative and fully capable of making their mark on this world, as the following 35 examples show:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

1. Channing Tatum
Tatum did poorly in school because of his learning and attention issues. He was prescribed medication for his ADHD but continued to struggle because the school didn’t properly address his learning needs. Tatum never considered himself a very smart person, he said in an interview. “Not having early success on that one path messes with you. You get lumped in classes with kids with autism and Down syndrome, and you look around and say, ‘OK, so this is where I’m at.’ Or you get put in the typical classes and you say, ‘All right, I’m obviously not like these kids either.’ So you’re kind of nowhere. You’re just different. The system is broken ... we should be able to help kids who struggle the way I did.”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

2. Simone Biles
The gymnast superstar took a stand for mental health after leaked medical records revealed her use of a stimulant, Ritalin, commonly used to treat ADHD. “I have ADHD and I have taken medicine for it since I was a kid,” Biles tweeted. "Having ADHD and taking medicine for it is nothing to be ashamed of."

3. Jim Carrey
Always restless as a child, Carrey was the class clown who would finish his assignments quickly and then start disrupting the other kids. He has undergone treatment for ADHD since childhood and used his creativity and high energy level to his advantage as an adult. 5. Adam Levine
Maroon 5 frontman Levine was diagnosed with ADHD in his early teens. "What was really helpful to me was learning that this was a real medical condition – I had ADHD. The diagnosis helped explain the challenges I was having in school, including my difficulty focusing, sitting down and getting my school work done." Thanks to the support of his parents and his doctor, he was able to move forward with a treatment plan that worked. His struggles continued as an adult, when he realized ADHD was affecting his career as it had is schoolwork. "I had trouble sometimes writing songs and recording in the studio. I couldn't always focus and complete everything I had to”. Levine is now vocal about spreading awareness of the disorder. “ADHD isn't a bad thing, and you shouldn't feel different from those without ADHD."

"I have nothing whatsoever to hide or be embarrassed about," Freeman stated. "Like millions of Americans, I have ADHD and I have been prescribed and permitted to take medication to treat this condition for the entirety of my NFL career. Well over a year ago, I took a different medication for the same condition (Ritalin rather than Adderall), and to assure everyone that the error was a one-time mistake, I agreed to be voluntarily tested in the "NFL Program". Since that time, I have taken and passed all 46 drug tests I've been given, which test for every drug and banned substance imaginable."

Meanwhile the Smurfs didn't fair to do any better. The soundtrack featuring problematic Nantucket native Megan Trainor failed to chart.... anywhere.
