Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate on NBC's This Is Us, has defended the use of a fat suit by her co-star Chris Sullivan on the show. Sullivan plays Kate's fiance Toby, and some viewers have questioned why a heavy actor wasn't cast in the role.

“We tested a lot of gentleman who were bigger, and get it — people think the authenticity is kind of ruined by that. But Chris has been heavier, so I think he understands the plight of being overweight,” Metz said, calling Sullivan the “best man for the job.”

“And people wear prosthetics all the time — it’s just weight as opposed to, like a nose or a chin. It’s just kind of the name of the game.”

    Here’s a scenario to consider:

Let’s say you’re dating a guy and you’re super into each other, and you’ve been staying with him, and he’s really serious about you, the most serious he’s been about anyone. He lives in the same complex with someone he’s very close to. And the person he’s close to has a partner too. You and she don’t know each other well. But since you’ve been staying there, you run into each other one day. And you tell her you’re going shopping and where. She says she’s going shopping too and leaves in the car. You head out on foot. Turns out, she went shopping exactly where you went shopping. And she knew that’s where you were going. But she didn’t offer you a ride.

    Is that weird?

Maybe it’s not that weird. But considering who they are, it IS super gossipy.

    - Hermione continues to be inspiring to young women

    - Hermione turned the initial prejudice she got on its head and became the leader of the trio, which somehow gave other women permission to feel they were allowed to take up space

    - Thinks Hermione is the glue that keeps the trio together, and the boys knew it and treated her as if they knew that (lol as if, both Harry and Ron were dicks to her plenty of times)

    - Says that if you ask a young boy what superhero they look up to, a lot fewer would say a female one than in reverse, thinks we need to live in a culture that values and idolizes women as much as men. It's something that's slowly changing but needs to be addressed.

    - Synopsis to Neverwhere: Under the streets of London there's a place most people could never even dream of. A city of monsters and saints, murderers and angels, knights in armour and pale girls in black velvet. This is the city of the people who have fallen between the cracks. Richard Mayhew, a young businessman, is going to find out more than enough about this other London. A single act of kindness catapults him out of his workday existence and into a world that is at once eerily familiar and utterly bizarre. And a strange destiny awaits him down here, beneath his native city: Neverwhere.

    - Gaiman says his work with the UN Refugee Agency and the "shape London is now", compared to 20 years ago, have inspired him to write a sequel to his 1996 work

    - The Neverwhere sequel will be titled The Seven Sisters

The Cobrasnake Beat Trump Advisor Stephen Miller in a High School Election

Who the fuck is The Cobrasnake? The Cobrasnake, AKA Mark Hunter had a photography blog that included various photos he had taken of well-known hipsters (think Cory Kennedy and Steve Aoki) with the occasional appearance by celebrities and nobodies at popular night clubs and hangout spots in LA. Some samples of his work can be seen here and here. Cobrasnake posts on ONTD were really popular and fun around 2009/2010. Basically, the posts were a fun way to get together and laugh at pics of dirty, strung out hipsters decked out in American Apparel (RIP) gear.

Who the fuck is Stephen Miller? Just go here and try not to vomit.

    Highlights:
-According to The Cobrasnake, their high school "was very diverse, which I loved, but it always seemed to bother Stephen and make him mad."
-He and Miller were friends in middle school, and he signed his high school yearbook urging him to vote for Bush "in '04 and for Bush's daughters in '16, '20, '24 and '28."

Starz posted a new gif from Sunday's episode!

Meanwhile Inverse got an exclusive clip from 404/XXXII, click through to watch it! It's from the Silver/Billy confrontation we've all been waiting for. Plus Flint apparently making heart-eyes at Silver but what else is new?

Also, there's an interview with the creators on Inverse about that most recent death we're all still recovering from. Talks about levels of gore, why that other character was spared (for now), what it means to the larger narrative, etc.

Crew, do you approve of STARZ blatantly trying to make Bilver happen? Are you onboard with Bilverflint? Madbilverflint, while we're at it? Because the queen would never be left out.

Background king Joji has been spotted!
Also, OP hasn't watched the clip bc my browser refuses to play it wtf. Remember to tag your spoilers if you do watch, mateys!

    - the film for which viggo is nominated, captain fantastic, is about a dad who rejects society in order to raise his kids according to his ideals and one of the central themes is whether it's better to engage or seclude yourself from an outside world you dislike - draws parallels to the current situation where just disengaging and disagreeing isn't enough, action is needed
    - says that what actors have a platform but what they say isn't more or less valid than anyone else anywhere in the country but there is often a backlash making people actually more likely to reject what they say
    - believes in being honest about life with kids even from an early age, like his character in the film, but would choose his words more carefully since there's a difference talking to a 7 year old vs a 17 year old
    - is writing screenplays and working on directing them
    - lotr reunion that occurred a few weeks ago was for the benefit of the children he co-starred with in captain fantastic - he figured they wouldn't win the award they were up for so invited the lotr cast that was in town (dom monaghan, billy boyd, elijah wood and orlando bloom) since the kids were big fans
