Eight years after James Cameron’s “Avatar” hit theaters, “Pandora – The World of Avatar” will open on May 27 at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando.

“This is a very big land with an extremely unique design and architecture because it does make you feel that you’re in Pandora, the great world [James Cameron] created,” Iger said. “To the extent that we can know this, we really believe in coming years that the interest in ‘Avatar’ is only going to grow.”

    Avatar land will include:

    • a water ride the “Na’vi River Journey,” which will bring journeying guests through a bioluminescent rainforest, showcasing native fauna reminiscent of the film’s glowing environment

    • Avatar Flight of Passage,” similar to Disney’s “Soarin'” ride, will be a motion simulator flight that allows guests to take a trip atop a Banshee over the world of Pandora.

    • Visitors can also take a break for food at Satu’li Canteen, have a drink at Pongu Pongu, and shop at the gift shop Windtraders for Na’vi cultural items, toys, science kits, and more.

Disneyland will soon see new attractions as well, with a new “Guardians of the Galaxy” ride debuting this summer and Star Wars Land set to open there at at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.

    - After accepting the NAACP's Jackie Robinson Award at the Image Awards last week (the show will broadcast Saturday on TVOne), somewhere between his strong showings against Charles Barkley and the Wizards, LeBron James talked to THR about the immigration ban, saying "We should all continue to speak up and fight for ideas that bring people together regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs or any other differences" and that athletes should use their platform to speak out. He added that he is "not in favor of this policy or any policy that divides and excludes people. I stand with the many, many Americans who believe this does not represent what the United States is all about."

    - Steph Curry, meanwhile, responded to UA head Kevin Plank's assertion that Trump will be an asset, saying “I agree with that description,” Curry said, “if you remove the ‘et.’”

    - He spent all day yesterday talking to people at UA about Plank's statement, and while he feels better after Plank's clarification that Trump is a business asset [fuck off], he qualified it with: "are we promoting change? Are we doing things that are going to look out for everybody? And not being so self-serving that it’s only about making money, selling shoes, doing this and that. That’s not the priority. It’s about changing lives. I think we can continue to do that” and hinting that he'll leave if UA adopts Trump's values.

Muslim Ban: Thinks the travel ban is discriminatory, un-American, and goes against America's values
His Political Rap Music: Doesn't rap with the intent of being political, he's speaking about his own personal experiences (i.e. extra TSA checks at airports). Thinks people consider it political because it's a perspective they're not used to.
Celebrities and Politics: Thinks that individuals who have a platform in these instances have a moral responsibility to speak up. Also, America essentially elected a celebrity as President, so why can't celebrities comment on politics?
Diversity in Hollywood: Thinks it's about investing in new voices and stories which will help to break down barriers between different groups of people. Thinks that people are starting to see that these risks can pay off in film and television.
