McKinnon has just been
cast to play the title role in 'The Lunch Witch,' she has been in a few movies such as 'Ghostbusters', 'Sisters', 'Office Christmas Party' and 'Masterminds', but always as part of an ensemble.
'The Lunch Witch' will make Kate, who's a lesbian, one of a very small number of out actors who have toplined their own projects in an industry that is way behind on LGBT representation.

Her character in 'The Lunch Witch' isn't gay/bi, but if this is finally her big break as a lead star, casting a lesbian is a good start and she'd be one of the very few out A-listers in Hollywood.
