Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to announce to the world that she had gone vegan for 12 hours. She tweeted that she had gone vegan for 12 hours and said it 14 times throughout the day. Responding to fans, she revealed that she ate some Velveeta cheese before going vegan for 12 hours. Ultimately, she didn't last very long as a vegan, posting a picture of her and John Legend eating meat!

Talentless hack Cassandra Clare continues to beat her dead horse, this time dragging author Wesley Chu (The Lives of Tao) into her mess.

"Magnus Bane is getting his own YA series courtesy of Saga Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Clare will co-write the series with Wesley Chu, author of The Lives of Tao.

"Over the years writing the Shadowhunter books, Magnus Bane has emerged as one of the most fun and fascinating characters for me to bring to life. He's always had a lot of secrets — there are so many things we don't know about Magnus, from the story of his first love to the secrets of his parentage, to the beginning of his relationship with Alec. All those things I was able to touch on in The Bane Chronicles, but I'm excited to dig in even more deeply in these three volumes devoted to Magnus, his past, his future, and his present."

In an interview with the Guardian at the Cannes Film Festival, the actor was asked about his thoughts on the superhero genre, and if he’d ever been approached for a role in one of the big budget blockbusters. As it turns out, yes, he was:

"Yeah, long time ago, to play Thor’s dad. But I didn’t do it."

Instead the role of Odin was given to Sir Anthony Hopkins.

  • "I've been getting this question a lot and I should think it about it more because I keep drawing a blank. I don't have a specific superhero that I think I should play. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you I don't know." She replied before adding: "I thought of Kitana from Mortal Kombat if they ever make that movie again. I've always loved her fans and the blades, um, but that's the only one I could think of."

She exited a long relationship not too long ago. While they were together, they definitely partied, but he preferred a more chill vibe while was getting too into the pills. Which is why he claims they ended it. Turns out, around the time of her split, she went to rehab for a tune-up and is now sober and re-focusing on her work. Her work, recently, was rather high profile, a prestige assignment. But she was miserable in that environment, not only trying to avoid bad habits but, apparently, not getting along with her colleagues; supposedly they never wanted to hear her opinions.

Now that she’s clean, her perspective has changed too. So she’s going around telling people that the reason she’s not with him anymore is because he’s not stimulating enough intellectually even though she was so attracted to him. There were a lot of romantic gestures, like dedicating his art to her, but ultimately she’s revised their history to read that she left because she wants someone smarter.

Kanye says "This sad, parasitic maniac has violated every basic human tenet of decency" after Steve Stanulis said Kanye has fired him over trying to talk to Kim Kardashian, accusing him of trying to flirt with her.

Stanuis who is married with 3 children, says Kanye is the most condescending person he's ever met, refused to press his own lift buttons (lmao what), the guards were not to talk when he was present and sulked when he was forced to sit in the front seat of a car. Stanulis claims Kanye still owes him $1100 for his services during a trip to NY.

Kanye and their reps claim him speaking is a breach of confidentiality, and will go through with the lawsuit if he doesn't retract his comments.

Candice Patton Speaks: How Iris West Broke the Superhero Girlfriend Curse.

Candice has spoken to The Daily Beast about Iris' development in seasons 1 and 2, WestAllen, moving on from Eddie, and how beneficial having female directors is on set.

On Iris' Development...
-Article discusses the superhero love interest trope – the female character who knows nothing, is always unwittingly in danger, gets shut out and lied to, and then gets upset, all of which doesn't endear her to the audience.
-Candice speaks on the first season: "it was hard at first [...] I could see the potential [for Iris], where I think a lot of people couldn't [...] But as an actor and knowing where my character was potentially going, I could see the growth she would have over the next season and two and three and four. I can still see that."
-Believes audiences have a hard time watching women grow on screen: "They want to see their women on TV come in and, from day one, be strong and have it all together and figured out. And I just don’t think that’s true of real women. We’re flawed, we’re messy."
-That being said... Candice is glad to have moved beyond the damsel-in-the-dark phase.
-Believes that seeing Iris develop and grow into her strength has been important for believability.

-Candice finds the shift for Iris in season 2 "freeing", as she is now a teammate and ally. She wants more of it!
-Her favourite episodes were ‘Runaway Dinosaur’ and ‘Welcome to Earth-2'; she feels it was a long time coming, that Iris had been crying a lot and in a constant state of depression since Eddie and her mother died, "so it was nice to see her have fun and bond with Cisco."

"I think that’s Iris’s sweet spot [...] I hope we kind of stay in that lane of giving her a lot of agency and the ability to work with the team to help the Flash in Central City."

On WestAllen...
-Believes WestAllen was only a possibility because of the time Iris has spent as Barry’s ally and confidante this season. It was about bonding with her, not the chase of being a love interest.
-Acknowledges that in the show Eddie wasn’t really discussed this season, but she feels Iris has been holding onto that relationship, and not at a place she could move on until the qt editor Scott (Tone Bell) came into the picture.

"Once she decided to move forward then the question was, ‘Well is Scott really the right person I want to do that with?’ And I think it brought her back to the feelings she has deep down for Barry."

On Having Female Directors...
-Article discusses Greg Berlanti being honoured by the Alliance of Women Directors for his commitment to hiring women and PoC to direct his shows – Candice talks about what a huge difference that makes for her.
-She mentions a male director will get up into the West-Allen house and direct Iris as bringing food in from the kitchen, but a female director instinctively thinks about what those choices mean and portray and say ‘let’s have Joe do that’, "it’s a small difference and there’s power in that."

“I think any time you have anyone who is diverse on television making decisions, it colours the landscape in a way that the majority can’t see [...] It doesn't mean that white males don’t have something to offer, it just means that having different perspectives only colours the landscape. It only makes it better... For me as a female actress, I feel safer on set. I feel empowered to make choices because I have a woman who understands what i'm going through."



John Wesley Shipp Speaks: Being Henry Allen, and Moving Forwards.

John Wesley Shipp talks Being Henry Allen, why it was time for Henry to bite the dust, his anxiety and nerves on becoming Golden Age Jay Garrick, aka The Man In The Iron Mask, aka Leonardo DiCaprio of Earth-3 but that the cast had his back, and a little of what he thinks we can expect in Season 3.

Also, he OFFICIALLY CONFIRMS that he will be back for way more next season!


On Being Henry Allen...
-Was happy they brought him in, acknowledges the showrunners are massive fanboys of the comics and original show.
-Thought of himself as passing the baton to Grant, was a “tool in Grant’s toolbox”, but he didn’t want to be loitering around in the background serving no purpose, Henry’s job was done in Season 1.
-Liked the Henry role because it was about the truth of the moment, it was non-costumed, and a quiet acting role. John felt too old to be getting back into a costume.
-Felt Henry and Barry’s tearful father/son scenes had been played out, said he knew it was going to get annoying to keep doing that, “I knew it was time for Henry to come to an end.”
-Feels that it was time for Henry to die, he was narratively done – he was a “closed-ended character, there was a purpose that was served.”
-Was in an enviable position he feels as he’s very fond of the cast, but also a fan – he got to “drop in, skim some good emotional material, and then sit back and watch it.”

On the MITM...
-Wasn’t in it until the finale.
-Says 60-70% of people in online polls thought he was Zoom, so there was hesitation to speculate he was the MITM in case people got burned again.
-Went up to film in March for a 4-ep arc, presuming it’d be Henry’s death arc, “which made perfect sense to me, because Henry had fulfilled his purpose.”

-Gives the stand-in actor who was in it all season long “all the kudos in the world”: says that actor was told to study three different actors and how they use their hands, and he was one of them – once the scene came that the MITM communicated with his hands, he was told it was John Wesley Shipp he needed to imitate.
-Calls him ‘remarkable’, and everyone thought so; "it just proves that there are no small roles. Someone who shows that much dedication, my hat was off to him."

On Becoming Golden Age Jay Garrick...
-Started figuring things out when he was put in a costume fitting for a shredded prison uniform, then overheard a comment about an iron mask.
-Called up Greg Berlanti and was like “WHAT THE WHAT?” Greg laid it all out.
-Says everyone wanted him to be Jay Garrick – that’s the message he’d been getting at cons from the fans.
-Was daunted but glad he got to be Henry first and have a grounded storyline before having a bit of fun as Jay.
"It also helps that Jay Garrick is chronologically 92 years old — however, he was exposed to age-reversing vapors, so he’s physically 50 years old. I thought, “I could do that. I could play that."

-Went back and did lots of research:
“Finding out that he was the original Flash, that he was the founder of the Justice Society of America, that he’s really the Flash daddy of us all, and the importance of him to the whole DC Universe... that was very intriguing and very important to me.”

-Had a lot of insecurities about putting on another superhero suit 25 years later – but says the entire cast was really supportive.
-As he came onto set, the cast and crew "burst into applause", JWS says he understands it was for the brilliant costume designer more than for him.

-Tom came and talked to him, Grant turned the camera monitor around so he could see how the scene was lit and see himself in the suit during the big reveal, saying “Look at this! It’s great!”, Jesse L. Martin told him he was “so glad you agreed to do this.”
John looked over to Candice and saw she had her hand over her heart watching him,“which is a wonderful expression.”

-He was super nervous, but says he got incredible and wonderful support from the entire cast.
-“They really wrapped me in a lot of affirmation and made my insecurities about - a quarter of a century later - playing another superhero a lot easier for me.”

"I’m a little nervous about it, but what an opportunity going forward."

On What Season 3 May Hold...
-Is excited about season 3, it opens up ‘enormous possibilities’ for him as an actor, as he’s now a different character important to the JSA too, which also bleeds into Legends of Tomorrow
“I now get to create an entirely different character going forward.”
-Is excited about how it’s going to play out and the “psychological conflict” of Barry wanting to lean on this man who looks like Henry but isn’t.
-On dynamic with Barry and emotional complications:
“Jay does not know the emotional minefield that he’s walking into. Of course, Barry’s gonna look at this guy, and when the iron mask comes off... it’s really heart breaking.”

-But more importantly for all of us thirsty for hints at Season 3 content, John OFFICIALLY CONFIRMS he will be in Season 3 as Golden Age Jay Garrick! Officially. Permission granted.

“Yes. I’ve been given permission to say that yes, they have all kinds of exciting and interesting plans for me [...] yes, I will be back next season.”

Joom: A New Career Path Ahead of Him?

In this troubled economy, it takes dozens if not hundreds of job applications to land us a paid position.
But the season finale has some fans wondering - what's a psychopath gotta do to make salaried bank?

Since the Tuesday night season finale, it has become apparent to eagle-eyed fans online that the demise of Hunter Zolomon, better known as Joom, at the hands of the Dementors Time Wraiths may have in fact resulted in him being given a whole new life of opportunity and plush new job thanks to the Speed Force – as THE BLACK FLASH.

The Black Flash is the grim reaper of speedsters, acting as Death, appearing when speedsters are going to die and taking their spirit and life force back into the Speed Force.
In the comics, the Black Flash wasn’t created by, but played a large role during show writer/creator Geoff John’s time writing for the Flash comics.

Important points to keep in mind from comics & show:
-In a comic series attempt to kill Wally, the Black Flash took Linda instead, and during its second attempt JAY GARRICK, JESSE QUICK and Max Mercury banded together to assist Wally in defeating it.
-In the Blackest Night comic series, Professor Zoom became the Black Flash – along with the same transformation as in the show - the same suit logo colour change to white, red earpieces, desiccated appearance and messed up dentistry that we saw in The Flash 2x23 'The Race of His Life'.

Tony Todd, the icon who voiced Joom, has somewhat 'confirmed' this fan speculation on his instagram:
