'Wynonna Earp' showrunner Emily Andras talks 1X08, "Two-Faced Jack" and teases 1X09.

* Emily praises Melanie Scrofano, says she is Wynonna and Wynonna is her and that there are so many moments in this episode where she (Emily) was just so moved and empowered by Melanie's performance. We see a different Wynonna once she vanquishes Jack. One of the themes of this season is revenge- does it ever fill the hole in your soul and can it ever make things right? Wynonna's emphasis now is looking into the information Jack gave her on Bobo.

* Emily also praises Greg Bryk as Jack and basically confirms without confirming that he was indeed Jack the Ripper, with one of the theories about him being that he fled to America. She talks about the apparatus for the dissection (ewwww) and how Jack is a serial killer, so they really wanted to make him a monster, even before he became a Revenant and for him to be a really difficult foe for Wynonna.

* We're starting to see a portrait painted of Ward Earp that’s a little less than glowing- Just because you have the last name Earp doesn’t necessarily make you a good person or a hero. That is just another mystery for Wynonna to unravel regarding her family history and will take her to some really interesting places.

* Shamier and Tim are incredibly good friends, but there's a competitive spirit there. Dolls fought with a military precision and he had some martial arts moves, while Doc was fighting old-timey and was not opposed to some dirty tricks. Doc and Dolls understand that they have to set aside their differences for the greater good, but they're not exactly buddy-buddy now. They're Alpha males on some level, but they need each other and are starting to respect and understand one another.

* Emily found it quite shocking how violent Dolls was in the end, Dolls would do anything to figure out who is compromising his investigation. About episode 9 Wynonna is pretty shaken and dealing with some PTSD in 'typical sexy, drunk fashion' and maybe figuring out what her purpose is now that the Seven have been vanquished. The Stone Witch returns and makes her big play to get what she wants and woe to the person or Revenant that gets in her way. There's also some really delicious Waverly and Haught interaction.

Channel 4 airs "Secret Life of the Human Pups" documentary

One of the documentary's subjects is Tom Peters, who won Mr Puppy UK as his alter ego "Spot." His fiancee ended their relationship when he awoke to his pup identity. He now lives with a "trainer" called Colin. He and his ex are featured in the picture below.



He told the Guardian: "I wouldn’t say it was the catalyst [of our breakup], but it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Then I had this moment of panic because a puppy without a collar is a stray; they don’t have anyone to look after them. I started chatting to Colin online and he offered to look after me. It’s a sad thing to say, but there’s not love from the heart in me for Colin–but what I have got is someone who is there for me and I’m happy with that."

Another subject, Kaz, who lives with eight other pups and has his partner be his trainer, says he always knew he was a canine at heart: "Even when I worked in PC World I would sometimes walk up to people and nip at their shirt. I got in trouble once; someone walked into the PC repair centre and I had part of their dad’s computer in my mouth. But the other staff knew I was like that to everyone. They didn’t find it weird."

A franchise film actor puts down his fans, career, wealth, and fame in general.



Allegedly, a well-known actor took to Reddit to anonymously announce all that he dislikes about his fame.

"I am an actor. Well-known. A few of my movies are among the top-grossing in history. I started out as a child actor and fortunately have worked ever since.

1. I hate my fans. Appreciate them but hate them. I hate them because they hound and harass me. I am not an attention whore. I don't tip off the paps, party, etc. I usually enjoy being by myself. I can't even be open about being gay. What really irks me is how fans call me by this character's name and start touching me and asking for pictures like I am one of those guys dressed like a Transformer on Hollywood/Vine. Don't get me wrong, I'll always chat and take a picture with a fan if they are cool or for a young fan, but most people are assholes.

2. I hate the way they ask me for money and think I have money. I see these sites where fans will say I am worth like $20 million. BITCH PLEASE. I am worth more like $4 million. And I don't even live a lavish style. Far from it. I may get four movie offers ranging from $1 - 4 million. I probably take a quarter of that at the end. Most often I turn down the higher-paying movies because they will do the most damage to your career. Sometimes I won't get any offers. I have tons of expenses. I have to pay lawyers, accountants, family, etc. Don't even get me started on taxes. Also, if I ever become disabled or can't work anymore, then I am fucked.

3. They think that I can get them work. No I can't. That pisses me off more than anything.

4. My life is not that glam. Most famous people are not that interesting. They're uneducated. They're ignorant. They're paranoid. They're full of themselves."

"I get scripts through my management team. Being in a huge franchise did not do much to help my career even though I had top-billing. I did some TV on my own dime and lost a ton of money."

"[I am not out because I] would become a “gay actor” instead of an “actor.” “Gay actors” get less offers because of the concern that audiences will not believe that they can play a straight character and/or many many people still hate gays and won’t see their movies."

"People know me mainly from the franchise that I was in but also from my time as a child actor. They often say how I still look like a teen even though I am def. no teen."

"I don’t have friends. Many Hollywood people just want to party and many non-Hollywood people expect that your friendship will enrich them in some way. Can’t tell you how many times non-Hollywood “friends” have hit me up for money, work or contacts."

Disney in talks for their own Live-Action version of The Little Mermaid

Execs at Disney are in the early stages of reviving Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid as a live-action feature. Disney production chiefs recently heard a new take and are currently evaluating whether to proceed with the idea.

Universal Pictures also has their own The Little Mermaid live-action film in development starring Chloë Grace Moretz.

A few weeks ago, Demi got a sphynx cat and was shocked to discover that she was still allergic to it even though it was hairless.

She originally said she was going to keep it, but revealed to ET that she gave it back the next day.

It's pretty obvious what part of that caption he wrote and which part he copy+pasted, but it's fun to imagine he fully believes in a needlessly gendered ass wipe, sort of like a needlessly gendered Easter Bunny.

The 'All About That Bass' one-hit-wonder's sophomore album 'Thank You' thanklessly debuted at Number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart this week with a disappointing 107,000 total units moved (84,000 of which were pure sales). The problematic songstress's previous release 'Title' managed to debut with 238,000 units.

Starz to Move All Original Programming to Sunday, plus Black Sails News

Starting July 17, all of Starz' original programming -- including Black Sails, Outlander, Ash vs Evil Dead and more -- will begin transitioning from Saturday to Sunday nights.

- This decision was made by former HBO chairman Chris Albrecht
- Sundays are "prestige nights" for TV, especially on premium channels
- These shows will now be competing against the likes of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead
- Starz originals are strong DVR performers, but are left out of the "Monday morning watercooler conversation" and do not generate enough online buzz by airing on Saturday
- The network will continue its push into year-round programming with new series including American Gods and Alejandro G. Inarritu's The One Percent
- Saturdays on Starz will now be used for movie premieres

When 'Game of Thrones' Ends, Starz Will Become The New HBO

Though Game of Thrones was hugely groundbreaking in bringing fantasy to the mainstream, the series is steadily creeping closer to its' conclusion. When it ends, there will be a void left to fill, and Starz may be just the network to fill it. Between Black Sails, which Inverse names "television's best kept secret", Outlander, Ash vs Evil Dead and 2017's American Gods, Starz is positioning itself to take over as the leading premium network for fantasy television.

"While everyone was off watching HBO, Starz quietly became the place where the most innovative fantasy storytelling was fostered and encouraged. Their offerings respect their audiences and are keenly aware that straight white dudes are not the only ones watching. These shows don’t alienate that portion of viewers by any means, but rather follow the groundbreaking idea that fantasy fans consists of more than one kind of demographic." This week, Black Sails finished filming for Season 4!

Hopefully this means that the fire on set did not set back production too badly. There is still approximately another 7 months of post-production until the season premieres (presumably) in January.
