The Toronto Raptors managed to bounce back after losing Game 1 to beat the Indiana Pacers 98-87. Cory Joseph continues to be a stabilizing presence for the Raptors scoring 16pts (6/8 fgs).

With the most exciting finish so far, the Dallas Mavericks managed to hold on and beat the Oklahoma City Thunders, 85-84, after OKC's potential game winning basket was declared to be no good. Mavs' Raymond Felton led his team with 21pts (8/16 fgs) and 11rbs.

Despite not having Steph Curry, the Golden State Warriors were still able to defeat the Houston Rockets by 115-106. Warriors' Shaun Livingston step up and had 16pts (7/9 fgs) and 6ast. (I could literally replace Shuan with any other member of the team, everyone came to play tonight)

Congrats to Kawhi. The Raptors backcourt is still struggling. They're not gonna win this series unless Lowry and DeRozan can get it together. While doing an interview with The Real Damon Dash said that he could have prevented his former girlfriend Aaliyah, the Princess of R&B from passing in a tragic jet crash. According to Damon, he was supposed to be with the singer on that trip, and had even tried to talk her out of shooting her video in the Bahamas. "There is no chance that, if I was there, we would have been on that plane. So it would have never happened that way."

"She told me she was going to the Bahamas, and I was against it, like, 'Yo, don't go.' And then down to the last — we had the Blackberry — down to the last Blackberry that we had, before she went there, she was like, 'Yo, I don't like that plane. And I was like, 'Don't get on it.' And she was just like, 'You know, I gotta do it.' You know, it was a complicated situation, but she had to go do that video."

Aaliyah's video finished shooting a day ahead of schedule, and booked a different plane than originally planned. "If I was there, I would have made sure that that jet that was supposed to be for her ... she would have been on that. I wouldn't have got on that plane, you know what I'm saying? So it probably would have been different. But you know, everything happens for a reason. You know, and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and you just gotta deal with the cards that life deals you."

History Channel will show "never before seen footage" (the stuff that appears on the extended editions) from season 4 of vikings during the season premiere of alone.

Morgan O'Sullivan (Co-creator):

• Morgan thinks that  Michael really rises above the crowd, he doesn't know of any other person who is writing an entire series by themselves.


• It was a network decision to double the episode order, because of how well Vikings was doing.


• The show is really Michael Hirst's vision, but it's very much a team effort as well, because of how many people are involved in creating the show.


• They have two amazing stunt co-ordinators, Richard Ryan and Franklin Henson, they also did the RDJ Sherlock Holmes movie. They developed a sort of really amazing, visceral style for the Vikings action.


• They have a rule that 60% of the frame needs to be live action.


• They've built 8 - 10 ships at this point.


• He was worried about the female audience being turned off because the violence was too realistic, but that wasn't the case.


• Mentions how amazing Travis, Gustaf and Katheryn's performances are in terms of their subtelty and complexity.


• Ivar's disability allowed them to really play with the character. It's interesting how, everyone would have sympathy for a character with severe disabilities, but you don't feel sympathy for Ivar.


• Ivar's a "nasty bag of tricks" but extremely effective and clever as well.

Alexander Ludwig + Gustaf Skarsgård:

• They are like family because of how long they've been filming together ("closer than lovers" according to Ludwig)


• Says that it's miserable and exhausting to film in the cold weather during early hours, but the being out there with the crew makes it worth it. The crew have it a lot harder than they do, because the crew has to be there everyday and they are fantastic about it.


• Gustaf mentions that being one of the few Scandinavian actors in the show, he kind of has "veto power" where he can talk to Michael about certain inaccuracies.


• Gustaf then lists some of the inaccuracies in the show:
  
  
  • The timeline doesn't make sense, but it's necessary to tell these amazing stories
  
  
  • He doesn't know where Kattegat is, because Kattegat is actually the name of a sea.
  
  
  • The geography of Uppsala was wrong.
  
  


• The show is really loved in Scandinavia and there's a lot of pride in the series.


• Gustaf loves working with Michael because of how much crazy shit he's able to come up with and because he's able to talk to him about the character and give his own take on what Floki would or wouldn't do.


• Bjorn really respects Michael for the responsibility he takes in writing the show and really appreciates how much respect Michael gives them in terms of interpreting the characters and providing input.

Michael Hirst:

• On the 20 episode seasons: He wasn't as concerned with moving the plot along quickly, though the episodes are really two 10's, so he had to know where he wanted to characters to be at specific points.


• He was really looking forward to this season, because of very profound things that happen that he can't mention at the moment.


• Mentions an episode that's "really about two men talking, and these two men are in an extraordinary situation and they are very different in some ways and similar in others". Apparently, it's unlike anything they've done before.


• Says that he's very privileged because the Network doesn't question him and he's able to do whatever he wants with the show. He's had an incredible amount of freedom from the beginning, they trusted him.


• There's a suspension of disbelief in a way, with understanding that these Vikings characters are going to do terrible things.


• He picked Jasper Pääkkönen (Halfdan) and Peter Franzén (Harald) after seeing them in a film together, where they played Neo-Nazis.


• Ragnar and Bjorn are more on the liberal end of the "Viking party", while Halfdan and Harald are on the extreme end.


• Talks about Floki's fear that continued dealing with the Christians will lead to the loss of the Pagan Gods and how that's basically what happened in History.

• In a very honest interview, talking about his past struggles with addictions and depression, he revealed that he was molested by an 18-year-old neighbor when he was seven: "All that time, I was like, A. ‘It’s my fault,’ as generic as that is, I’m like, ‘it’s my fault. And I’m gay, I must have manifested this because I’m secretly gay.’ I had all these insane thoughts for 11 years or 12 years."


• "If you’ve been molested, you only have a 20 percent chance of not being an addict. And I was like, ‘Hmm, interesting,’ because in my mind I just like to fucking have a great time. But when you hear a statistic like that, I’m like, ‘Oh no, I was going to be an addict, period.’"
