'Black Sails' Season 4 Casting News and Speculation Post

Although Season 3 ended less than a month ago, there is already plenty of buzz about Season 4!

- Season 4 will introduce us to Israel Hands, a bounty hunter, played by David Wilmot. (Known for Calvary (2014), King Arthur (2004), Six Shooter (2004), and The Guard (2011), according to imdb. Was also a regular on The Tudors and was in an episode of Vikings.


Showrunners Jonathan Steinberg and Robert Levine have mentioned repeatedly that Season 4 will emphasize Blackbeard.

  • Will Blackbeard fill Vane's role, since he was Vane's mentor?

  • Will he kill Woodes Rogers?

  • Will he kill Eleanor?

  • Will he adopt Jack and Anne?

  • How many daddies will there be in Season 4?

They have also mentioned repeatedly that Flint & Silver's relationship will be expanded, and explored on a new level.

  • Will Silverflint happen?

  • Why not?

  • What will cause their inevitable rift and end their partnership?

  • Will we cry?

  • Will we find out why Silver becomes "the only man Flint ever feared?"

  • What will happen between Silver & Madi? Will we hear wedding bells?

Some other things to consider...

  • Will Billy finally be appreciated as the low-key puppetmaster that he is?

  • Will Max betray Eleanor?

  • Will Max and Anne reunite?

There has been no set date for Season 4's premiere, though fans anticipate that it will premiere in January 2017.

I think the shows really lost their way once they abandoned the established mythology and started retconing everything and making up random stuff as they went. With fantasy establishing a solid mythology is really important and helps ground the show.

Calaric sounds terrible and we haven't even seen them together yet.

Grace Coddington reveals cat-shaped bottle for fragrance; admits Katy Perry's cat perfume upset her

Former model and creative director of Vogue, Grace Coddington, has revealed the bottle of her first fragrance, and unsurprisingly, it's cat-shaped.

The fashion icon admitted to The New York Times that she was disappointed when Katy Perry beat her to launching a cat-shaped fragrance in 2010, saying, "That really upset me." She thinks the two are different though, describing Katy's as "a sexy cat and very glitzy. I think this is … I hope it's kind of refined."

It'll be available on April 19 in two sizes: 50ml for $110 and 100ml for $145.

MTV was at her concert in L.A and did an article about their experience. Being compared to Janet Jackson, MTV says that Tinashe also arrived right on time when pop fans are desperate for a less-is-more diva, a moment of recovery following a decade of pop excess.
To MTV, Tinashe was promptly recognized as the heir apparent to the pop/R&B throne when she released "2 On".

- Says they don’t see it as killing Abbie off, even though that’s literally what happened, and that the show needed to evolve by getting rid of Abbie once and for all

- Gives Nicole props and credits her relationship with Tom as being integral to the show’s development. Feels there’s more story to be told – immediately mentions Ichabod, before going into the new Witness, who will be a character the audience hasn’t met yet.

- Says Abbie’s life reached resolution. The handful of scenes she had with her father, her sister, and her abrupt, barely given screentime relationship with Daniel is a resolution, y'all.

- When asked about that infamous line about carrying Ichabod, and whether or not it could be read as reducing Abbie to an Ichabod prop, Campbell says that’s not what happened (LOL) and that he can see Crane doing the same for another witness. Yes, Campbell expects us to believe they'd ever continue the show without Ichabod \o/

- Thought the scene in which Johnnie watching President Clinton talk about needing to have a conversation about race and how minorities view law enforcement was poignant. "And it would have been great if it had happened. It didn't."
- Jury deliberation was only two hours not four like the episode claimed.
- Prosecution knew the day of the verdict that he would be found not guilty.
- Jury only asked for readback of the testimony from the limo driver. Clark says that if you believe his testimony then you have to believe Simpson committed the murders. Claims they picked and chose what they wanted to believe.
- Says of the jury: We could have produced a videotape and they wouldn't have voted guilty.
- Saw Johnnie in court who had a defeated look on his face. She said "Why are you upset? You won." And he said, "Ah. I don't know."
- Says depiction of Robert Kardashian was accurate. He "look devastated when he heard the verdict. He knew." Saw him two weeks before he passed away.
- Never spoke to Judge Ito again.
- Says of the trial: "It was the most devastating, constantly maddening, traumatizing experience of my life."
- MAKES NO MENTION OF HER LOVE AFFAIR WITH DARDEN
