Tinashe received an open letter from Nylon Magazine, yesterday, talking about her work with known trash men, Chris Brown and R. Kelly.
The "2 On" chanteuse went to twitter to post how "unbothered" she was with it and fave tweets from stans saying how Nylon was being sexist by "targeting" Tinashe only and not others who featured in their work or even the trash men themselves.

The writer of the letter was attacked by some of Tinashe stans and defended herself.

In an interview to promote 'A Very Murray Christmas', Sofia Coppola, the only product of nepotism I will stand for, gets candid about family, growing up in this industry, sexism, and what's next for her (including working with Kirsten Dunst again!!!). Highlights of the interview below.

• About growing up on the Coppola family: "My dad always talked about what projects he was going to do and was always kind of harping on about writing. Looking back on it, I was very lucky to be around that creative world. I have to give credit to my dad, because the kids were never off with a nanny; he always wanted us to be on set or at the dinner table meeting these interesting people.”


• About the criticism over her acting in the 'The Godfather Part III' at the time:"I think all that stuff just toughens you up and then you can get through any kind of challenge. It was hard because I was so young and was attacked and blamed for ruining my dad’s movie. But also, in those days, magazines came and went; it was a big blast, but there was no internet, so when it was gone I went onto the next thing.”


• About the advantages of being from her family:"It’s true. It would have been so much harder if I was just some girl without connections. But I’ve also learned to trust my instincts, because when you’re starting off you’re not sure about that. I’ve learned that’s how I work best, when I’m most confident.”


• On experiecing sexism in the industry:"I definitely encounter it, like when you might be up for something [against] an older guy. But my dad also always talked to me the same as my brothers, so I never thought, ‘Hey, I can’t do that.’ [...] I always feel like it’s not my job to comment on the issue, and I’m not trying to be political publicly, but I do feel more encouraged that there are more [women] emerging. I went to NYU to give a talk to film graduates and more than half of them were women. I just keep trying to put my point of view out there – a feminine point of view – and I hope there’s more opportunity for other voices, besides the male ones.”


• What she's working on now?:“I’m working on two scripts and I’m hoping that next year I’ll talk to Kirsten [Dunst] about doing something, because I’d love to work with her again. Everything is in the early stages. I’m writing an original story right now and we’ll see if it comes together. It takes so long to write a film; you have to really be into it for three years.”

- MINORITY DIRECTORS: 12.5%



- Lionsgate had the most women directors: 9%
- Disney, Warner Bros. and the Weinstein Co.: 0
- Lionsgate also had the highest mark for male minority directors: 32%



- The report is a two-year study analyzing the films that were released in 2013 and 2014. It doesn't include foreign films, documentaries, animated films and re-releases.
