Idina Menzel comes out as Elsa to perform "Let it go" with Olaf Swift

Taylor walks the cat walk as Olaf

Say what you want but her show was really great. Like seriously amazing! So happy Alessia Cara came out. She was on my wish list. My daughter lost her mind when ~Elsa came out. Sad that there was no Loft last night :'''(

During a press conference for mockingjay part 2, Jennifer said she wrote her essay to show how hard it is to be a woman and talk about inequality and salaries in general. Because people take shots at you just for saying it:

"It was more of how did my mentality get in my own way of fighting just as hard as the men to get a better deal"

"I hoped to just write about my own fears of how am I going to be portrayed? Or how am I going to look? How will people judge me? Obviously the men in the movie don’t think that way. Even after I wrote it, I don’t remember the website, but they called it 'Jennifer Lawrence’s bratty display.' And I was like, 'Thank you for completely making my point.' If a woman speaks up, is assertive and has a voice, she’s going to be called a 'brat.' I don’t see a man being called a 'brat.'"

The Hunger Games producer Nina Jacobson added:

"As girls we don't always have the confidence to feel like we won't be judged if we speak up. That's at the heart of that (Lawrence) essay. It's a really important thing to speak up."

  • 11/01/15--17:14: Ellie Goulding Round Up Post

  • Army (Live at Abbey Road)

    About Army:

    NYT Article Summary

    • NYT on Delirium: "album marks a shift from a sound fusing opaque electronics and lilting organic elements to full-on pop music"

    • She's really confident in herself so she doesn't care if she wears something that is ridiculous

    • On her vs her voice: "I'm touchable. I'm not otherwordly. I think my voice is something untouchable, but I think me as a person is not. My voice doesn't come close to anything. No one else will ever have my voice. That's the one thing I have. My personality and me, aside from my voice, is very reachable and relatable, I think.

    • "“I get annoyed when men write degrading songs about women, but women are starting to speak out. And I got annoyed when Glastonbury had so many men on the line-up… but then Florence headlined. Things are changing, you know? And I love it.”

    • On Taylor Swift : They met at a Jonathan Ross taping. "I was really nervous, because she's such a legend, and I remember thinking, 'Please don't act like a tw*t, Ellie; don't say anything stupid,'" she recalls. Taylor then quoted a lesser known song and they became friends. "She's really funny. She's got a very British sense of humour. We love doing scenes from The Office." Oh my gosh, we would LOVE to see video footage of that on Instagram soon, please!

    • “I have friends who are famous, and I have friends who are not famous, but those older connections are the particularly special ones…High school and primary school are so special to me. If anyone said, ‘We’re having a reunion,’ I’d be so excited!”

Pics of Ellie at the EMAs (tragic hair, but she's since gone back to blonde):

    Don't Panic Leak

    • ICYMI: Quentin Tarantino attended and spoke at a Black Lives Matter rally in NYC last week against police brutality.

    • He said: "I'm a human being with a conscience...and if you believe there's murder going on then you need to rise up and stand up against it. I'm here to say I'm on the side of the murdered."

    • “This is not being dealt with in any way at all,” Tarantino said. “That’s why we are out here. If it was being dealt with, then these murdering cops would be in jail or at least be facing charges. When I see murders, I do not stand by. I have to call a murder a murder, and I have to call the murderers the murderers.”

    • Police unions across the country are having a meltdown; so far the NYPD, LAPD, Philadelphia PD, Houston PD are all boycotting his upcoming movie "The Hateful Eight"

    • Weinstein (who produced the movie) is pissed because he's afraid it'll cost him $$$$

    - is being sued for about $42m
    - suit alleges that she stole the lyrics from a nobodynational hero? Jesse Braham
    - the hook/chorus is allegedly the same as his nobody song.
    - NOPE, the rest of the song doesn't sound a bit like t-swift so this will probably sink.

One of the most buzzed-about shows currently on Broadway (aside from Hamilton, of course) is Deaf West Theatre's Spring Awakening, an innovative revival of the 2006 Tony-Award winning musical about sexually repressed German teenagers in the 1800s.

The entire show is performed simultaneously in ASL and spoken English, and half of the cast is made up of deaf actors. Some big names have been flocking to check out what the buzz is all about before the limited enagegement ends this January, including the original Spring Awakening cast:

  • I love Lucca though it occurred to me that she should've been Cary had they not messed up season 5 and sidelined him and Diane to butt heads with Howard for the King's C plot. And I love JDM but Jason is really just a replacement Kalinda (or what she should've been sans the high school BTS shenanigans and the Kings terrible writing for her).

“That was fantastic. You know what’s great about you girls? You are great singers, and you’ve got attitude and you are passionate. I’ve had to hand this to you tonight. You’ve done an outstanding job,” Cowell said.

“That voice, how does it come out of that body? I can’t even understand,” Rita Ora added.

Nick Grimshaw, meanwhile, noted that the song was a perfect choice for the girls, considering that it was only a replacement to their first choice, Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance.”

Cheryl thanked them for being there.
