Gugu has been added to a shortlist revealed a few weeks ago for a female lead role in Star Wars: Episode VIII. The list includes Tatiana Maslany, Gina Rodriguez, and Olivia Cooke. There are now reports coming in that there are not one, but two major female roles being cast at this time.

-She says "I get a lot of scripts, it's true. I only select those that gets me to film with passionate artists, with directors who understand what's an actor. And believe me, there're not many. Another criteria is that the history must affect me and create a challenge. I read all the scripts I can, but my agent knows my tastes very clearly."

-Says that even though she's done modeling and activism, above all she's an ~actress~ who wants to direct some day.

-Says that she didn't do a Minnesota accent for Regression even though her character is from Minnesota and the story takes place in Minnesota because it could have happened "anywhere in the world"

Adam Rippon, 2-time US National Silver Medalist, inventor of the "Rippon Lutz," and official sidekick of Ashley Wagner came out in the October issue of SKATING magazine.

"Being gay is not something that defines me. What defines me is what my mom always taught me: to treat everyone with respect, to always be a hard worker and to be kind. Those are the things that define me."

Adam considered coming out before the Sochi Olympics (which he didn't end up qualifying for):
"I did think about it. I feel so overwhelmed that U.S. Figure Skating wants to be a part of me. It's a huge thing to have your sport's governing body be a part of that and to show all their athletes that they accept them for who they are and for their individual personalities. When you go out and compete, you want to represent [the organization] to the best of your ability, and you want to represent your true, authentic self. When you're honest with yourself, you can do that. I want to be a relatable example."

"It's the year 2015. So many more athletes are willing to be open and it's part of the culture now to be more open about who you are and what your interests are. Of course people are interested in your sexual orientation. People love rumors. When athletes come out and say that they're gay, it makes it a little more normal and less of a big deal -- especially in the athletic community. You have a lot of respect for your fellow athletes for working hard toward a goal. Their sexual orientation takes a backseat to that."

“And I want to say something to the dad out there who might be concerned that his son is a figure skater. I mean look at me; I’m just a normal son from small-town Pennsylvania. Nothing changed. Trendsetter Candice, Kelly
Girl Next Door Ashley
Modern Classic Laurie
Femme Nouveau Merline

They go to Mood! One day for this challenge.


This week's corporate shill awkwardly recites the types of women they want their brand to appeal to. I would list it here, but ultimately it all boiled down to "sexy" and "confident". The designers get to go to Mood for the second challenge in a row! The producers really are letting them off leash at last.

During critiques, Swapnil is making a dress in a leopard print that looks pretty well like what Shania Twain wore in the That Don't Impress Me Much video. Candice is, no surprise, executing her look in black (and white). Laurie is making a sheath dress that Tim says he has seen before. As much as I like Laurie and she gives good confessional, it's shocking that she made top 7. Let's see if she can redeem herself after being bottom two last week.

Edmond is "making excuses" to Tim and he is not having it. Tim hates his print and his whole concept. It looks super matronly, Joseph would be so proud (and probably saying something misogynistic cause that's Joseph). Kelly wants to do something colourful and confident, which Tim likens to her personality. She has a cool print, but also has a cookie-monster blue faux-fur fabric that could go very tacky very quick.

Ashley is doing a pleather jacket (thanks for the budget, PR producers) and a fitted dress. Tim thinks the dress reads hospital gown. Merline's progress is slow, and the bust of her look needs work.

Twist time! The looks need a label, and which they will design and also have printed on to a shirt to wear. At model fittings, Edmond changes course and starts working on a red dress that looks exactly like date-night dress from The Sims.

I wanted to add photos for the labels the designers made, but they aren't on the Project Runway website :(

Mila Kunis is sick of talking about her movie and rather talk with her teen interviewer about going out and drinking a few beers. ngl. i like the banter. i kinda ship it.

While promoting The Great Gatsby, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire were drunk as fuck, had some jet lag which led to some funny situations.

Jonah Hill and Potato Tatum together are quite funny and they mess with the poor reporter who just doesn't know how to handle them.


4. Tom Cruise almost killed a guy

Tom Cruise, before Scientology, was actually a pretty decent human being, funny even. and he tells how he had to quit the oxygen to a guy to keep flying a plane. Ok, maybe he's always been a bit cray.


3. Dustin Hoffman is circumcised.

Dustin Hoffman doesn't know what cut means. The reporter's laugh just kills me.


2. Bridesmaids and the homeless farts.

Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig can't stop laughing when a french reporter can't stop talking about farts.

Justin Bieber says 1D released on the same day as him for promo

-Justin Bieber's Album "Purpose" and 1D's "Made in the A.M. (After Malik)" both release on Nov. 13th

-Justin already threw shade at 1D with his "when you release your album on the same day as Justin Bieber" scared face

-Louis responded with one of his weaker playing at O2 Arena faces (which Justin was once hours late for a concert at)

-Justin backtracked and said that he's excited about the release and wishes 1D luck since Niall is his good friend (save yourself Neil!)

-Justin is now saying that 1D released the same day as him for promo and as a strategy, since he announced his date first

-1D's last album #justiceforFOUR (2014) opened with 387,000, while JB's last album Believe (2012) opened with 374,000

-1D have always released in November and are part of Columbia Records, so the other slots Nov. 6 (#BuyGetWeird) and Nov. 20 are occupied by label mates Little Mix and Adele

Are 1D's team doing promo for once? This is a good way to get 2 crazy stan bases to buy more albums. Based on their previous album sales, I would say 1D have the #1 for the week before Adele shakes up the industry.

OVO Sound Radio premieres official version of "Can I" by Drake & Beyonce.

So this track leaked a few months ago when someone on Instagram was leaking snippets of what was supposedly Drake's Views From The 6 album. One of the leaked songs was a Drake & Bey collaboration that consisted of two Drake verses and Beyonce singing "Can I? Baby?" for two minutes. The official track isn't too different from the leaked version but at least they finally acknowledge the song exists.

The beat is hot, the lyrics are wack. Could've been a good cuffin season song. Feel like it had potential but it still sounds incomplete. I mean, if you got Beyonce on a track, you couldn't have found a better way to use her? Sucks since "Mine" was one of the best songs on Beyonce's self-titled album (AND IT NEVER GOT RELEASED AS A SINGLE #justiceforMine). These two have good musical chemistry and they should collaborate again tbh.

Barely 2 months after her stone-hearted fiance Zayn Malik cruelly dumped her via text message/phone call/carrier pigeon. Perrie Edwards might have a new man! Michael Mather posted these pics witht her on his instagram.


edit: as has been pointed out by the astute gnarlsbarkley he is actually gay.
This happens barely a week after Zayn provoked outrage by posting this picture of himself and a woman on his instagram.

Perrie had previously been flirting with model Jack Greystone (who has been liking fan made edits of the 2 of them together lol), though the pair seem to have not actually met in rl.




He's 35 though. Guess she didn't want a Boy.mp3 anymore.

ONTD Original: Top 10(5) Teen Movies

1. Mean Girls


Honestly, there's not much to say. One of the most iconic teen movies of our day - way past being over-referenced - starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert and Lizzy Caplan, screenplay by Tina Fey. What made it so iconic when it got mediocre reviews when it premiered ? Good script, good casting, good timing ? No one really has a solid answer, but the movie's longevity is unarguable at this point. With quotes that are still (over)used, screen caps and gifs still being all over the place, it preserves its popularity even after a decade.

2. Clueless


Based on Jane Austen's Emma, Clueless is still deemed one of the most popular teen movies, rivalling Mean Girls. Whatever ! Perhaps it was because the movie focused on female friendship while breaking stereotypes. The movie received some criticism upon being labeled as a feminist movie with regards to Cher being into fashion and make up, but c'mon, it's a chick flick, and even so, portrays the characters in a very positive light in contrast to some others *cough* Mean Girls *cough*. All in all, the movie is still considered iconic in all its fashion loving, female empowering glory.

3. 10 Things I Hate About You

Based on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, 10 Things I Hate About You made quite an impact. It features your classic troubled teen, who hasn't made anyone cry yet, but it's only 4:30. It stars Heath Ledger, Joseph Gordon Lewitt and Julia Stiles, with a killer soundtrack. It also unexpectedly makes you emotional, who didn't tear up when Kat says "and mostly i hate the way i don't hate you, not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all". It's one of those films you can watch over and over and no matter what decade you're in, it'll still be relevant.

Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair, Cruel Intentions is considered to be iconic due to SMG's flawless 90's fashion, that one kissing scene which precedented Not Another Teen Movie, the fact that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipphe were together girl and of course the soundtrack. Did you ever snort coke from your cross necklace ontd ? Didn't think so.
