Kylie Minogue To Take A Break From Music.

Kylie Minogue has called a halt to her music career just days after the end of celebrations of her 25th year as a singer, the Sunday Mirror can exclusively reveal. The star has shocked her friends by splitting from her long-term manager Terry Blamey, who helped launch her into show business when she was 19. It is claimed the Aussie was upset over tensions between Terry and her dad.

Kylie, now 44, has decided to concentrate on acting for the foreseeable future and take a break from music. A source close to the star said yesterday: “Kylie’s decision to stop recording for the time being and part company with Terry has come as a massive shock.

The past year has seen “K25” events all over the world to celebrate Kylie’s 25-year pop career, which began with The Loco-Motion. She has sold more than 65 million records and won an OBE for services to music. Last month she thrilled a sell-out crowd at London’s O2 Arena, reuniting on stage with Jason Donovan to sing their hit Especially For You. But sources close to the star say manager Terry and her father Ron, had differing opinions on where her career should head.

Kylie’s former record label Parlophone has been sold and she is now part of the giant Universal Records outlet. Yesterday an industry insider claimed the changes may also have influenced her decision. The source said: “Kylie used to be a big fish at her former label. She’s now been put into a huge roster of acts at Universal and probably can’t expect the special treatment she was used to. “She may be thinking she’s achieved most of what she wants as a pop star.”

TMZ: Britney Spears set to make over $100 Million a year in Vegas deal

$

Britney Spears' team has almost locked an enormously lucrative deal which will make her a fortune in return for appearing in Las Vegas ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Britney is seriously considering picking up stakes and making her residency Las Vegas -- something just made easier after her split with fiance Jason Trawick. She's been negotiating with one of the Caeser group properties to appear in a Celine Dion-type show.

Sources connected to the negotiations tell us ... from Brit's standpoint, "The deal is a go. There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it's basically done."

One of the outstanding issues -- exactly what Britney will be doing. There's back-and-forth over whether she will just perform on stage at a big theater multiple nights a week, or whether she will also make appearances at functions in the hotels, nightclubs and pool day clubs.

Our sources say the money being negotiated is "astronomical" -- more than Celine's $100 mil a year.

CW Boss on Supernatural's Fate, The Vampire Diaries Spinoff, and the Battle Royale Project

$

CW fans, you've got questions. We've got answers.

These answers come straight from the mouth of CW President Mark Pedowtiz, who took the stage Sunday morning at the TCA Winter Press Tour to field questions about Supernatural's chances of another season, The Vampire Diaries spinoff that will feature The Originals, and the status of other projects in the works at the network, including the Wonder Woman pilot and Battle Royale. Here is what he had to say

On Supernatural getting a ninth season: "Nothing's been announced yet. No determination's been made," Pedowitz said. But he insisted "there's a good shot" it will get another season and that it's in a good place, creatively.

On The Vampire Diaries spinoff: "We're basically going to go and focus on the original family," he told reporters about the project in development, which will be set in New Orleans. It will revolve around Klaus (Joseph Morgan) who Pedowitz said is "such a great character," and "hopefully some of his siblings will come along," Speaking of, Phoebe Tonkin is confirmed to be coming onboard the spinoff, which means she will not play Wonder Woman in the CW's Amazon pilot.

On 90210's fate: The CW boss said no decision has been made yet, but he truly believes in giving viewers a concrete ending. So maybe a 13 episode final season is on the way, à la One Tree Hill?

On Emily Owens' cancellation: Pedowtiz confirmed that all 13 episodes they shot will air. "We're very proud of the show," he said. "For whatever reason, it was just not connecting."

On Nikita's future: Pedowtiz wouldn't say anything concrete about the fate of the series, but he did say he was pleased with how it was performing in the new timeslot. "It's performing on-par to our expectations. I'm a fan of the show. I like the show."

On The Carrie Diaries' expectations: The CW prez has high hopes for the Sex and the City prequel, stating that he hopes it will air as long as Gossip Girl did. When a reporter asked why young Carrie Bradshaw looked nothing like a young Sarah Jessica Parker and wasn't more "normal looking," Pedowitz simply said: "We cast the best actor."

On Beauty and the Beast: We're very pleased in terms of where it's going creatively," Pedowitz said. "I believe the show has more growth in it, centered around that love story." He compared the ratings to The Secret Circle, which we think was supposed to be a good comparison, but we all saw how that turned out

On new CW projects: Amazon, the Wonder Woman pilot, doesn't have script yet, but they are casting for Diana right now. The Battle Royale series that was rumored to be in development is officially dead, with Pedowitz insisting it was never more than an idea from a phone call. Finally, the CW will be doing an animated web series starring Justin Hartley and Misha Collins.

Jodie Foster Comes Out On Live Television

Finally, after years of avoiding any official confirmation, Jodie Foster just came out at the Golden Globe Awards.

Receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award for the many, many great films she has made over the past four decades, an obviously nervous Foster first toyed with the audience a little, dancing around the issue before affirming that, yes, she is a lesbian. (She had previously thanked a female partner in a 2007 speech, but it was not an official, direct coming out.)

Well aware that people have been waiting for this moment for years, Foster explained that her delay wasn't based in shame, but in the fact that she came of age when there was a larger premium on privacy.

She was not of the era when gay or lesbian stars held press conferences to discuss their private lives, she said. But, standing up on that stage, poised and proud, Foster finally did the deed. And we couldn't be more happy for her!

An Open Letter

An Open Letter to you (the fans):

I hope this gets to you the right way. It's the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I'd rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?

Well... No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. (Did I mention that I'm having fun with this?? Ha!)

*Makes a serious face*

So, here goes:

This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the "grapevine," I'm gearing up for a big 2013.

Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC.

The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.

What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way.

I'm calling it "The 20/20 Experience," and it's coming out this year.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

That's all I'm giving you for now... I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!
Get ready. This is going to be fun (well, at least it is for me).

The Top 10 Moments from the 2013 Golden Globe Awards

1. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Slay Their Opening Monologue
Award show opening monologues can sometimes be an awkward drag, but comedy veterans Tina Fey and Amy Poehler knew just how to handle their Globes co-hosting gig. The ladies delivered hilarious joke after hilarious joke aimed at everyone from Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow ("When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.") to Meryl Streep ("Meryl Streep has the flu, and I hear she's amazing in it."). They even poked fun at their TV star status, joking, "Only at the Golden Globes do the beautiful people of film rub shoulders with the rat-faced people of television."

2. Jennifer Lawrence Wins for Silver Linings Playbook
Jennifer Lawrence took home yet another award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, and the 22-year-old star could barely contain her excitement. "What does it say? I beat Meryl [Streep]!" she joked when she first took the stage to accept her Globe. From there, Lawrence got more sentimental, thanking her parents for all their support over the years. She also teared up as she thanked her two brothers, saying, "I wouldn't be who I am today without you being mean to me."

3. A Homeland Sweep
Much like the Emmys, Homeland swept the 2013 Golden Globes. Damian Lewis took home the award for Best Actor in a Drama, thanking his deceased mother with a heartfelt tribute, "I want to dedicate this to my mom...who I know is up there bursting with pride and telling everyone up there how well her son is doing in acting." When Homeland won for Best Television Drama, executive producer Alex Gansa paid tribute to the show's leading lady, telling the crowd, "I wish you all could have seen Claire Danes, eight months pregnant, holding a steel pipe being chased by Abu Nazir." Just a few minutes later, the new mom took home her own Golden Globe and thanked her one-month-old baby Cyrus. "I have to thank my son... for joining me in this process and for being so game in fighting this war against terrorism," Danes joked.

4. Lincoln Gets a Big Name Introduction
Who else could introduce a film about an ex-President other than...an ex-President? Former POTUS Bill Clinton surprised almost everyone in attendance when he took the stage to introduce the movie Lincoln. Girls star Lena Dunham was beside herself with excitement, while Amy Poehler had a different take. The Parks and Recreation star channeled her inner Leslie Knope, marveling, "That was Hillary Clinton's husband!"

5. Adele Makes Her First Post-Pregnancy Appearance
Adele has won pretty much every award she's ever been nominated for, but the singer still seemed surprised and incredibly grateful when she took home the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "Skyfall.""Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!" she exclaimed. "I was not expecting this, thank you so much!" According to Adele, she was just there to have a good time with a fellow new mom. "Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for one night," she gushed. "We've been pissing ourselves laughing over here."Taylor Swift's reaction to Adele's win was also priceless in a whole different way.

Lindsay Lohan tweets about the Golden Globes

Wondering what Lindsay Lohan thinks of the Golden Globes? Well, you're gonna find out anyway.

The always-controversial star may not physically be at the awards show, but she's still making her presence (and opinion) known through Twitter.

Right after LiLo mentioned that she felt she didn't tweet enough, she has gone on a posting frenzy by live-tweeting Sunday's awards ceremony.

And things got interesting when she got peeved at Jennifer Lawrence for exclaiming, "I beat Meryl [Streep]" upon winning Best Actress in Motion Picture Comedy for Silver Linings
Playbook.

"Words cannot express how much I LOVE Kristen Wiig. And no1 should ever mess with a legend, such as Meryl Streep," Lohan tweeted.

But that wasn't all LiLo had to say, here are more highlights of her spellcheck-averse Twitter commentary:

• "Kate Hudson looks GORGEOUS"

• "I am grateful to of had the opportunity to work with 2 amazing women who are people i admire, such as Amy Poehler & Tina Fey. xo"

• "why wasn't Snow Patrol nominated with their song, 'Lightening Strike' for Act Of Valor? - I LOVE Adele! She is AMAZING! but, just curious?"

• "Paul Rudd is the best. Ever."

• "i love Damien Lewis on #homeland he is incredible"

•"Yaayyyy! @lenadunham I think you're so wonderful. Congratulations to a great talent !!!"

•"Ben Affleck!! Yay! So smart and classic. He and Jen Garner remind me of @mikelohan and his wonderful girlfriend #ninaginsberg"

Hey, if the acting thing doesn't pan out, maybe she has a second career in the works. We could always use some help on awards nights.

Golden Globes Backstage 2013: Quentin Tarantino Drops the N-Word

$

Quentin Tarantino was nothing if not Quentin Tarantino.

Less than a minute into his press conference backstage at the 70th Annual Golden Globes, the Django Unchained winner dropped the N-word. The usually bustling press room fell silent for a second; a reporter could be heard letting out a whistle, as in, "Oh, boy."

The filmmaker's choice language came as he fieldied a question about his controversial, slavery-era spaghetti Western. Tarantino was not apologizing.

Critics who think the N-word should not have been spoken by his 19th century characters, the mile-a-minute Tarantino argued, are "saying I should massage. They're saying I should whitewash. They're saying I should lie."

Don Cheadle, a winner for House of Lies, who took the stage right after Tarantino, couldn't resist picking up the thread.

"Please no [N-word] questions," Cheadle told reporters. "Black people questions are all right."

For the record, Cheadle said he hadn't seen Django, but was looking forward to checking it out.

Tina Fey “Warns” Taylor Swift at Globes: “Stay Away” From Michael J. Fox’s Son

Tina Fey had a stern “warning” for Taylor Swift at Sunday’s Golden Globes.

Taking the stage with co-host Amy Poehler and pretending to drunk after they both failed to win Best Actress in a Comedy Series, Fey unexpectedly set her sights on first-time nominee Swift, who also similarly didn’t win for her Best Song nomination.

“And you know what, Taylor Swift,” began Fey, “You stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son!”

Sam Fox, who was serving as the evening’s Mr. Golden Globe, wasn’t on stage at the time, but the camera panned to his parents in the audience, who seemed amused.

As the audience laughed uproariously, Poehler chimed in, “Or go for it.”

“No, she needs some ‘me time’ to learn about herself,” added Fey.

Sadly, viewers at home did not get to see Swift’s reaction.
