Dakota Fanning Tried Meeting G-Dragon and Failed.

Hollywood star Dakota Fanning called G-Dragon, from the Kpop group Big Bang, directly (update that it was actually her agent) and she said she wants to meet him.

According to G-Dragon's close acquaintance, Dakota Fanning will visit Korea on January 5th and will stay in Korea. She wants to meet him during her stays. She is G-Dragon's big fan and she wants to have dinner with him.

G-Dragon's close acquaintance said "Dakota Fanning and G-Dragon will meet at YG building. There's no minutely schedule yet, but these two star's meeting will be a big issue."

Unfortunately for Dakota shortly after this spread on twitter came this from YG
YG Entertainment said that GD is also a fan of Dakota Fanning, but because of conflicting schedule they are going to meet next time.

Update #2 from Dakota's side:
However, a contradicting statement was released by Dakota’s representatives, who stated, “Dakota Fanning never called G-Dragon, and they never promised to meet in Korea. There’s no truth to the rumors.” As well as, “Dakota’s side never called G-Dragon’s side. It is not true that they were in contact to meet up,” emphasizing that the reports were completely false.

Someone Must Be a Hardcore Martin Freeman Stan To Do This

You've seen the fantastic The Hobbit/The Office mash-up, right?

A rather brilliant person has taken chunks of dialogue, and a few other bits, from The Office and spliced it into The Hobbit. It’s very good.

When you see it, it’s obvious. The title character from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is played by Martin Freeman, who made his name in Ricky Gervais’ masterful The Office. That inspired Eagerbeaverfilms to put the two together to make one really good video.

As well as Freeman repeating his dialogue as Tim from the sitcom we also have Gervais appear as David Brent/Gandalf and even Keith turns up as Bombur.

But easily the best bit is the Gareth/Gollum character, which is exceptional.

Make sure you stay around for the credits too, which are Airplane-esque in their funniness.

On the difference between Hunger Games director Gary Ross and Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence: “They're almost polar opposites,” Lawrence said of the two directors, being quick to add, “and both are completely perfect for these movies. Francis is kind of genius at building different worlds and transporting you into another world. The vibe on set is much quieter. Gary is very energetic. Francis is very laid-back and very calm.”

On the difference between filming Catching Fire and Winter's Bone: “The vibe on [Winter’s Bone] set was exactly what makes me love indies. The only reason we were all out there in the freezing cold was because we loved the project. I love that feeling, that desperate, almost pathetic feeling of ‘Are we actually going to be able to pull this off?’”

On Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell: “He’s such a goofball. I love him so much. If Bradley wasn't on the set, we never would have finished the movie. Bradley would come and find David and me making videos, pretending to wipe our asses with coffee napkins, and he would be like, 'We have to finish the day!’”

On being discovered: “I was in New York, just watching street dancing, and this model scout asked if he could take a picture. I had no idea that was creepy. So I was like, 'Yeah, sure,’ and I gave him my mom's phone number. And then he called and said all these agents wanted to meet, and we were like, 'Might as well.’ I was playing field hockey and cheerleading and wanted to be a doctor—but within 20 minutes, in the cab ride from the hotel room, I decided I didn’t want to be a model, that, in fact, I wanted to be an actress, and I would only sign with an agency if they would let me audition for commercials and act as well. I don't know where that came from. And one of them gave me a script, to audition, the next day, and I read the script and it was the first time I had that feeling like I understand this. This is the first time I've ever understood anything. I was 14. And my brothers were star athletes. And one of them was a straight-A student. I always felt like I sucked at everything, that I could never find the thing that I liked. I auditioned and I probably sucked, but I had decided 100 percent that this is what I wanted to do."

On her casual approach to acting:“I don't even really watch playback [when making a movie]. Not that I'm against it. But I always forget. Every time they call 'Cut,' I'm at the craft tables."

On her similarities with Katniss: “I read the Hunger Games books when it was Oscar season, so for the first time I was in these dresses which didn't look like me and didn't feel like me. I felt like a walking rag doll. I remember sitting there in hair and makeup, listening to the things that they were talking about, and most of the things I didn't even know. My dad called them the pit crew—they did hair and makeup and nails all at the same time. So I read that and I was like, 'I know exactly how that feels.' And then, in the second book, people's relationships to you suddenly change. You're aware of people staring at you. [...] I call my mom sobbing all the time. But it's dealing with the repercussions of having no more anonymity. You lose privacy. And then, the third book, I teared up when I read it, because she finally realizes she can do good with it. Children are in the hospital. and just going and meeting them can lift their spirits and give them hope. As much as this is a curse, as stupid as it sounds, to make as much money as I am by doing something that I love, it's hard not to regret it when you're being chased by 15 strangers."

On acting being 'stupid':On the first movie I met this girl [via Make-a-Wish], and I can't tell this story without crying. [...] She had scars all over her body—burns—and she was telling me she was always so ashamed of the way she looked and she was so embarrassed, and now she has the nickname the Girl on Fire, but she loves it and wears it proudly. It gives her confidence. That was the first time in my entire career that I actually felt like there was a point in this. Not to sound rude, but it is stupid. Everybody's like, 'How can you remain with a level head?' And I'm like, 'Why would I ever get cocky? I'm not saving anybody's life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I'm making movies. It's stupid.'"

On the movies she watches over and over:“Yeah, but they're not artistic movies. Things like Dumb and Dumber. Planes, Trains and Automobiles. That's a great movie—I won't make excuses for that one. There's Something About Mary. I just watched that for the 50th time. Bridget Jones's Diary is the one that, no matter when it's on, I will watch it. Anytime.

On being a fan:I had the basic 'NSync obsession. And Leonardo DiCaprio. But when kids do weird things to me, I'm like, 'I never did that when I was little.' ... I went nuts over Harry Potter and read it four times and pretended I was a witch, but I don't think I would have done some of the—actually, that's not true. I saw Daniel Radcliffe when I was doing David Letterman and I flipped out. I was screaming. So never mind. I take back everything I said.

On her trouble with lying:“I get the weirdest anxiety. I swear to God, I blame my mom. When I was in elementary school, I told everyone I had a leg problem and it required a lot of attention, my imaginary leg problem, and I didn't know if I was going to live or die. And my mother comes to school, and one of my classmates is like, 'How is Jennifer's leg?' And my mom looks at me and she knows I've been lying and she made me purge. I was on the floor and she drew all the lies out of me that I had ever told. She made me tell every single lie, and I was, like, crying. It was horrible! I swear. I blame her. Even the smallest thing, like 'How's your day'?' If' I'm having a bad day and I say, 'It was good,’ I'm like, Oh. God!, and I have to purge."

Vanessa Hudgens visits shooting range with boyfriend

The pair seemed camera-shy after emerging from a Gun Sales shop with a large metal case.

She made a name for herself as the squeaky clean star of High School Musical.

But it would seem Vanessa Hudgens has developed more grown-up tastes of late after she and boyfriend Austin Butler visited a shooting range together on Friday.

And the 24-year-old actress certainly seemed as though as she had something to hide as she left the indoor centre, covering up her face with a large image of of a man pointing a gun to the head of another person.

Meanwhile, Austin, 21, was carrying a large metal case as he emerged from the gun sales section of the range.

The couple had started their day in a more relaxed fashion, heading off for a hike in Sherman Oaks, California, to kick start their morning with some activity.

But once again, they seemed particularly camera shy as they stepped out linking arms, with both covering their faces with baseball caps.

Vanessa looked dressed for activity in a sporty black ensemble and trainers, while Austin chose a hooded zip-through jumper, tracksuit bottoms and hiking shoes for their day out.

This isn't the first time Vanessa has displayed something of a penchant for guns, with the star previously posing in a series of photos in which she aimed a gun at the camera while she filmed Spring Breakers last year.

On Thursday, the actress spent the day partaking in her favourite hobby - yoga - before heading to a Los Angeles nail salon with her sister Stella.

Showing off the results of her almost daily yoga sessions, the brunette beauty flashed her washboard stomach in a hot pink vest, which she teamed with black leggings, a black sweat jacket, a beanie hat and pink-laced trainers.

After their pampering session, the girls headed out for a spot of well-earned lunch together.

Vanessa, who is fresh off her trip to New York with boyfriend Austin Butler, seems to be relishing the Los Angeles scenery of late, writing on her official website: 'Loveeee being back home in sunny LA for the Holidays! Specially love doing my morning hike in Runyon. Look at that blue sky.'

Earlier in the day, Vanessa and Austin - who try to fit in as much time together as possible - went for a couples' yoga session.

Soon Austin will be busy promoting his new series The Carrie Diaries, which premieres on The CW Network on January 14.

Meanwhile, Vanessa will be plugging her new films Gimme Shelter and Machete Kills.

Rumor: John Krasinski Up for Star-Lord in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY; Isaiah Mustafa, Brian Patrick Wade, and Dave Bautista Vie for Drax the Destroyer

Earlier today we added Michael Rosenbaum to the shortlist to play Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) in Guardians of the Galaxy alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jim Sturgess, and Zachary Levi. One more possibility has surfaced for Star-Lord, but the casting rumors have branched out with a shortlist for Drax the Destroyer. First up: CBM hears that Marvel is “still high on” John Krasinski for Star-Lord, a “master strategist and combat expert who wears an ability-enhancing suit and pilots a psychically-linked ship.” Marvel had their eye on Krasinski for Captain America once upon a time. Although that didn’t work out the studio is still understandably keen on Krasinski. Peter Quill is set up to be the central character in James Gunn‘s adaptation of the Marvel comic.

For Drax the Destroyer, Marvel is reportedly looking at Isaiah Mustafa, Brian Patrick Wade, and Dave Bautista. Interesting list: Mustafa is best known as the Old Spice Guy and Bautista is a former WWE professional wrestler. Wade by comparison is just your typical actor—given his unspectacular resume, we can conclude Marvel is not seeking big names to play Drax, a superhuman warrior created to defeat Thanos. Hit the jump for character bios.

Wikipedia has this backstory for Star-Lord:
“Peter Quill is born during an unusual astronomical phenomenon when many of the planets align. Seeing no resemblance, the man who believed he was Quill’s father accuses his wife Meredith of infidelity and attempts to kill the infant, but dies of a sudden heart attack. Quill is raised by his single mother until she is killed by an alien. Quill is placed in an orphanage but escapes and eventually becomes a trainee NASA astronaut. An alien entity called the Master of the Sun eventually visits the space station that Quill and other astronauts are inhabiting, and offers the mantle of Star-Lord (an interplanetary policeman) to a worthy candidate. Quill volunteers, but is rejected in favor of a colleague he once treated badly.

Quill is outraged, and NASA orders his return to Earth and discharge for his conduct. Instead, he steals a scoutship, returns to the space station, and takes his colleague’s place. Quill becomes Star-Lord, with the Master of the Sun first creating an illusion in which the character is able to find and kill the aliens that murdered his mother to free him of his past. Equipped with a sentient vessel called “Ship”, Quill commences his role as Star-Lord.”

And the origin story for Drax:
“While driving through a desert with his wife and daughter, Arthur Douglas’ car is attacked by a spaceship piloted by Thanos, who thinks the humans have seen him. His daughter, Heather, survives the crash and is adopted by Thanos’ father, Mentor, and raised on Titan. She later becomes Moondragon.

Needing a champion to combat the threat from Thanos, Mentor and the Titan god Kronos capture Douglas’ spirit and place it in a powerful new body. He is rechristened “Drax the Destroyer,” and his sole purpose is to kill Thanos.”

"Up All Night" Creator LEAVING the Show in Wake of it's NBC Ordered "Revamp"

$

Up All Night creator Emily Spivey has become the latest casualty of the NBC comedy.

Ahead of its reboot from a single- to multicamera series, the creator of the sophomore vehicle has opted to part ways with the second-year comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Spivey's exit comes a month after showrunner Tucker Crawley was replaced by Nurse Jackie's Linda Wallem as NBC and studio Universal Television opted to make some creative changes to the struggling Christina Applegate-Will Arnett-Maya Rudolph series at its midseason point.

Crawley, for his part, replaced original showrunner Jon Pollack. The former departed in December to work as a consulting producer on Fox's The Mindy Project, which is produced by Universal Media Studios.

The modestly rated Up All Night will resume production in February, after a three-month hiatus, with three additional episodes tacked on to its initial order of 16. At that time, the Lorne Michaels-produced comedy will transition from singlecamera to a generally cheaper and often broader multicamera format, a process that has entailed building new soundstages to be able to film the series in front of a live studio audience.

Up All Night will return to NBC in April or May. The creative change marks the second for the comedy this year after the Rudolph's talk-show format was ditched in the season two premiere earlier this fall. All of the tweaks come as NBC looks to refresh their comedy brand as a destination for more broadly appealing fare, which entertainment chief Jennifer Salke outlined in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month.

RIP Up All Night. This show had so much potential & NBC's going to cause it to crash & burn.

Yabba Dabba Bitch To Appear On Fruity Pebbles Cereal Boxes

$

The WWE's John Cena is about to lay the smackdown on Fred Flintstone, booting the prehistoric cartoon character from Fruity Pebbles boxes.

Flintstones fans, relax: Fred isn't being sent back to the Stone Age. It's a limited-edition promotion covering 4 million boxes of Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles, so Fred will still appear on some varieties. But his presence is likely to be Yabba-Dabba-subdued in the future as Post Holdings reshapes its packaging strategy for Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles, which will now front a variety of Flintstones characters in rotation, including Fred, Barney, Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm and Dino.
John Cena

"We've just been talking with kids. They wanted more variety," said Sharon Pupel, a Post marketing director. "Fred isn't necessarily the … coolest or [most] relevant guy for kids who we are going after."

John Cena, though, apparently is. The WWE first entered into a deal with Post last year after Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson began teasing Mr. Cena for his brightly colored ring-gear, saying he looked like a "big, fat bowl of Fruity Pebbles." WWE executives say the plot twist was not an overt attempt to lure a new sponsor. But the WWE reached out to Post after it caught on with fans, who began chanting "Fruity Pebbles" in arenas.

Mr. Cena was featured last year on 3 million boxes of Fruity Pebbles, but he was relegated to the top of the box, while Fred still appeared front and center. Now, Mr. Cena has prominent placement on the front and center of boxes, a rare feat for a non-Flintstones character. Other promotions are planned, including a sweepstakes, as well as a likely return of Mr. Cena to the front of boxes in the back-to-school period.

For the WWE, the deal marks its most-significant partnership with a mainstream, family food brand since the organization began seeking such deals in the wake of toning down its act in 2008 to achieve a PG rating for the "Monday Night Raw" program. "It doesn't happen overnight," said Andrew Judelson, WWE's exec VP-sales and sponsorship. "Just because we say we've moved to PG doesn't mean corporate America immediately is going to respond," he added. "It takes consistency, it takes time and I think what's happening now ... is there is a tipping point." Other recent deals include a promotion with Colgate-Palmolive's Irish Spring soap. Mr. Judelson signaled that other similar deals are in the works.

But the show, which once matched up scantily clad divas in thongs and routinely included sexual references, has hit a few bumps on the road to family-friendly viewing. In 2011, gay-advocacy groups criticized how Mr. Cena responded to the Rock when he began using the Fruity Pebbles line. As reported by gay and lesbian magazine Metro Weekly, Mr. Cena went on a rapping tirade that included a couple of anti-gay slurs, including a demeaning reference to "Brokeback Mountain." The WWE apologized and struck up a partnership with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation that included sensitivity training. "We know that we have a gay fan-base, [so] we welcomed that opportunity," said a WWE spokeswoman.

As for the "Fruity Pebbles" moniker itself, the WWE says that merely refers to Mr. Cena's colorful gear, and nothing else.

The man JJ Abrams let see Star Trek Into Darkness as a dying wish, has passed away. RIP Daniel Craft

$

Daniel-Craft

Even if you don’t know his name, chances are strong that you’ve heard the story of Daniel Craft. You probably know his name because he was the ‘Star Trek’ fan who was granted his final wish of seeing ‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘ after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, but he was also a member of New York’s Subway Cinema and helped organize the city’s increasingly popular Asian Film Festival. Last night, he passed away.

His death was announced on the New York Asian Film Festival’s Facebook page with the following message:

“Last night around 10:15pm, Dan Craft, who has been a member of Subway Cinema since 2004, passed away. His wife and brother were with him when he went, and he wasn’t in any pain. He’d been a bit loopy for a few days as his liver failed and toxins built up in his blood, and on Thursday his wife asked him if he needed to go to the bathroom. “I’m going…” he proclaimed, “Into the future.”

See you there, Dan.

Dan Craft: 1971 – 2013

We miss you.”

As sad as his final moments must have been for his friends and family, his final words certainly reflect his Trekkie nature. Boundless optimism in the face of the unknown has always been a signature theme of the ‘Star Trek’ universe, after all.

Earlier this morning, a friend of Dan’s took to Reddit to thank everyone who helped spread the news of his story. After all, this began as a simple post from his wife, but with Reddit’s help, it soon spiraled into a massive internet campaign. Here’s an excerpt from the post, complete with the details of how Dan’s screening of the latest ‘Star Trek’ adventure went over:

“A day or so after the thread began, Paige, Dan’s wife, got a voicemail from JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof that was very nice and very straightforward: a producer for the movie would get in touch with them. The next day, one of the film’s producers showed up at the door of their apartment with a DVD containing a very rough cut of Star Trek: Into Darkness in his hands. Paige had made popcorn, Dan had spent the previous day resting so he could sit through the movie, and after signing about 200 non-disclosure agreements they watched the film and had a blast.

Afterwards, Dan got back into bed, exhausted, and didn’t get out again. Yesterday he was pretty non-responsive and Paige took him to the hospital for hospice care. Last night, at 10:15pm, with Paige and his brother in his room, Dan died. The last thing he got to do that gave him pleasure was watch the new Star Trek movie. And it’s because of you.

At a time when he didn’t have a whole lot to look forward to, r/StarTrek, JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and Bad Robot performed a simple act of kindness for a total stranger and gave Dan something to be excited about for a couple of days. The movie did exactly what movies are supposed to do, it helped him forget about his problems for a couple of hours. It doesn’t sound like much, but in this case it was.”

This is a difficult story to write about without getting sappy, sacharine or insensitive, but to those of us who didn’t know him, Dan now stands as a symbol of the power of film. Here’s a man who spent his days helping to cultivate one of the best film festivals in the country and when the end was near, he took solace in cinema. “Dying Man Gets to See New ‘Star Trek’ Movie” is flashy headline, but this story is a powerful reminder of why we love cinema. Movies are capable of transporting us to new worlds, of helping us forget our pain for two hours — it’s comforting to know that a real movie fan was able to embrace what he loved until the very end.

Rest in peace, Mr. Craft.

Is Eddie Cibrian using Leann Rimes for her money?

LEANN Rimes‘ husband Eddie Cibrian is using her for money..

According to Star magazine, the actor spends LeAnn’s cash like it’s going out of fashion — and she does nothing to stop him!

“Eddie spends LeAnn’s money at an alarming rate!” an insider said.

“He acts like it’s unlimited; he doesn’t even care. He buys whatever he wants, no matter how extravagant it is. The way he sees it is, he supports LeAnn in everything she does, so it’s only fair that he gets to buy himself treats.

“Eddie will buy LeAnn gifts with her own money, but she doesn’t care… it’s a great excuse for her to show off to everyone and act like Eddie takes care of her.

“LeAnn’s accountant has repeatedly warned her that Eddie’s spending is out of control, but she just turns a blind eye, terrified that one false move will cause Eddie to leave her for another woman.

“He could bring them to the brink of bankruptcy, and she still wouldn’t say anything.

Her career isn’t working out the way she hoped, so she’s doing all these little shows here and there to try to raise funds.

“She even sold her Tennessee mansion in March for $3.35 million less than it was listed for, because she needs the money.

“Deep down, she knows she can only keep Eddie if she’s rich.

“Once the money goes, so does he.”

NEW YORK -- The National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association reached agreement on the framework of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement early Sunday morning.

After a marathon 16-plus hour negotiating session at the Sofitel Hotel that began Saturday afternoon, the sides announced an agreement in principle shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday.

"We still have more work to do, but it is good to be at this point," NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said.

The League did not announce the start date of the season or the number of games each team will play. Various reports suggest teams will play either 50-game schedules or 48-game schedules, depending on the date on which the season starts. Those details will be announced soon, Commissioner Bettman said.

NBC's 'Smash' Season 2 Trailer

After a very public behind the scenes shake-up, the newly installed Smash EP, Joshua Safran, and the cast addressed the press at the Television Critics Association Tour in Pasadena, CA today.

First thing first, Safran wanted to make it clear that this rejiggered season is still very much the Smash you fell in love with last year. "I don't really think it's changed that much. The stuff you loved last year is still there and the stuff you thought went off on tangents, we tried to find ways to pull together."

"It's bigger, with more music, younger in some regards, but I hope the people who watched it still see the same show they loved."

Having watched the two-hour premiere, I can attest that what Safran says is true. The episode is fast-paced, more grounded yet dares all the characters to dream higher. All in all, it's simply more of what you loved to begin with.

To play off that, Smash introduces Hit List, a second burgeoning Broadway musical this season, which is how newbies Jeremy Jordan and Andy Mientus (they play Hit List's writers) come into the picture. "We have more original music, more musical sequences per episode [and] more diverse styles," Safran added. "If you look at Broadway, there are shows that take place in the 1800s and shows that take place today. I wanted to represent that [on our show]."

Check out a brand new sneak peek above and tune in to the season two premiere of Smash, February 5 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
