Rihanna: I'm a very shy person

The "Haunted" songstress revealed in an interview to promote her animated film 'Home' (out now on DVD) that she's often felt like she doesn't belong.

"I’ve definitely felt that several times," she said. "At different points in my life I've felt like the outsider."

"It's very strange. I'm a very shy person, even to this day really, but when I'm comfortable with you, that's when you really start to see other colours of my personality coming out… when I feel comfortable enough to be vibrant and fun and say whatever I feel like saying because I know then that you probably won't be offended by a joke of mine or anything I might say."

Brooke Hogan defends her dad by writing a terrible poem

After transcripts of racist remarks that Hulk Hogan made 8 years ago were released today, his daughter Brooke posted a poem to her Facebook page about her dad called ~If You Knew My Father~ (yes, the tildes were part of the title). You can read the full poem under the cut.

~If You Knew My Father~
By Brooke Bollea

If you knew the dad I knew,
you'd know his tender heart.

He'd never want to hurt his fans,
or family from the start.

If you knew my father,
you would know how hard he fought...

and the way it brought a smile to people light, medium and dark.

We always fight a battle
that people never see,

and sometimes when you're hurting, you don't think logically.

Human isn't perfect,
and perfect is not he,

but I can tell you one thing, it's just not what it seems.

Cause If you knew the dad I knew,
you'd know he raised me well.

He taught me folks are so much more
than shades could ever tell.

And If you knew my father,
you would know he's down to earth.

He may have slammed the giant,
but remembers life's true worth.

If you knew my father,
if you just walked in his shoes...

then you would know that microscope that comes with yellow boots.

If you knew my father,
you would see your own in mine.

And if he was your father, you could never find divide.

Cause me- I bet your father
or someone that you love

Maybe regrets something
they wish they'd never done.

So if you know my father,
remember he's a man,

and you would crave relief if people judged everything you did.

The lord says to forgive them,
don't be the one to stone...

so please remember his strong arms when you were all alone.

The lives he's changed, the friends he's made,
the people he's inspired...

It makes me sad to see my dad
defeated and so tired.

If you knew my father,
you would know just how he's hurting...

For he loves every one of you, regardless of your story.

And if you met my father,
I know he'd give you love!

He'd lift you up, apologize and give you all a hug.

For those who think you know my father,
remember who you are.

We all can make mistakes and carry ugly scars.

Because I know my father,
I can promise this-

Just like you and I, things we don't mean can sometimes slip.

We all continue learning.
This life can be so rough...

So if you know my father, please try not to be tough.

My father has a daughter,
and I have feelings too.

And if I knew your father, I would do the same for you.

99. 12 Years a Slave (Steve McQueen, 2013)
McQueen depicts the horrific experiences of Solomon Northup, the free man kidnapped and sold into slavery, in utterly unflinching fashion. The film's strength lies in its frankness and avoidance of either sentimentality or Quentin Tarantino-style irony. - The Independent

61. Eyes Wide Shut (Stanley Kubrick, 1999)
A riveting, thematically probing, richly atmospheric and just occasionally troublesome work, a deeply inquisitive consideration of the extent of trust and mutual knowledge possible between a man and a woman. - Variety

31. A Woman Under the Influence (John Cassavetes, 1974)
“A Woman Under the Influence” gives us a woman whose influences only gradually reveal themselves. And as they do, they give us insights not only into one specific, brilliantly created, woman but into some of the problems of surviving in a society where very few people are fully liberated. - Roger Ebert

28. Pulp Fiction (Quentin Tarantino, 1994)
This movie gets its charge not from action pyrotechnics but from its electric barrage of language, wisecracks and dialogue, from the mordant '70s classicism of its long-take camera style and its smart, offbeat, strangely sexy cast. - Chicago Tribue

4. 2001: A Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick, 1968)
You can watch 2001 as a visual journey with nary a thought for what's under the surface or you can plunge into this vortex of interpretations. The great thing about 2001 is that either approach works fine. That's why it endures. - Washington Post

katiecassidyHAPPY BIRTHDAY to this beauty @emilybett Your welcome 😘

On what are Felicity's goals now that she got the man she loves:“I think that when she sort of left this world behind her that she wasn’t necessarily aware of how much she was going to be miss it and that is going to be the next big challenge for her. She is also testing what this relationship [with Oliver] is going to be as well, to a certain extent, because Oliver has promised now, a 1000 times, ‘We can do this now, I’m OK, I have let go of some things and maybe now is our time, it’s going to work.’ And maybe she is thinking. ‘I’m missing something. What am I missing?'”
On whether or not Felicity and Oliver work better as a couple or as friends: “I don’t know if it’s necessarily working better in a relationship. I do think that if they give it a fair shot and be honest to each other and trust each other, I think that’s a beautiful union. But Oliver has had a hard time trusting [in things], and I think it has made Felicity having a harder time trusting because you are with someone that you care for and that you love, and sometimes you can be in love with somebody and not be with them. That is always a hard pill to swallow.

On Felicity's constant crying: "I feel like she went through a year that wasn't necessarily her favorite. I agree. I feel like she lost a little bit of her strength to a certain extent. I think she got burned a couple too many times, and then found herself in situations she wasn't exactly sure she wanted to be in or if she was being true to herself between Ray [Palmer] and between Oliver [Queen], and if she was giving enough time to what she truly wanted. And then we throw her mom in there. And we get mom to really tell the truth. And that's kind of what happens, and you end up sobbing."

On what she wants from her character next season: "Hopefully, she gets funnier again because I don't want to see her crying all of the time. It was a big disappointment to me to have her crying a lot — because one thing I love about Felicity so much is that she's so strong and independent and sticks to her guns and is true to herself. And that is something I admire about her. I think she was true to herself last year, but I just don't know if she necessarily knew what she was doing was authentic and she was trying to find it."

On what Felicity and Oliver's relationship will be like: "It's going to be very velveteen, sensuous. We kind of get to see them in their life as a couple, which'll be really nice, which is what I wanted, so I'm happy about that."
What is your favorite thing about Felicity? Favorite quote and moment? What would you like to see more of?

Amy Schumer's interview in Australia was a trainwreck

Amy Schumer met with 101.1 KIIS Australian radio hosts Matt Tilley and Jane Hall to promote her film Trainwreck, and it starts off pleasant enough.

Schumer explained that her character in Trainwreck is essentially her 10 years ago when she was a sophomore in college: "There's a lot of me in this movie; I'm not embarrassed to say that. I was in a lot pain, I was spreading myself too thin, I was drinking a lot, and I realized how destructive it was."

She said the costume designer (Lisa Evans) was the one who decided to make Schumer's outfits "a little too short." That prompted Tilley to ask Schumer, "Do you have the word 'skanky' in America?" Not missing a beat, Schumer replied, "We do have that word. What made you think about your mom? Why did she just pop in your mind?"

Hall tried to defuse the situation but Tilley continued, "Come on, that's the character of the movie; I'm not trying to offend you." Schumer replied, "Whatever you’re trying to do, you are. That’s a rude question."

Tilley also said that the film's plot was ultimately about Schumer's character finding a boyfriend and that didn't sit well with her: "I think you're wrong. I think the point is that she realizes she's hurting herself and the people around her."

Hall did her best to mediate the rest of the interview but Schumer was pretty much done with Tilley. When he asked, "Would you rather do that [acting] and have stand-up as fun?" She replied sarcastically, "I want to do whatever I have to do to get another interview with you again."

The tension begins around the 2-minute mark.

Not Horsing Around 2k15: Trace Cyrus vs. Relevant People pt. 2

$

After a light joke from hosts All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat at the Alternative Press Music Awards on Wednesday night and an added drunken diss from Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie, Trace Cyrus has challenged any other band to fight him as long as they sign a waiver first so they won't sue him. Trace seems to be taking the diss a lot harder than anyone else, having called it bullying and posted a video of All Time Low making fun of Metro Station 6 years ago as proof.

Fellow Metro Station member Mason Musso's face during Trace's APMAs rant.

This is hilarious. I wonder if he knows that ATL's bassist looks like this:

Would you fight someone without a waiver, ONTD? Do you have a good handle on reality and your own relevancy?
